Rocky was exhausted when he got back to camp, heading straight to bed and happy to see that Essy was already there waiting for him. He laid down quietly next to her and fell asleep almost right away.

~THE NEXT DAY~

Rocky awoke to find that Essy was not with him. He knew that he had slept longer then he meant to, so he did not worry too much. He got up, stretched and left his kennel just in time to see Iggy heading to the nursery with herbs in her jaws. Rocky was puzzled for a moment before he connected the dots. His tail started to wag so hard that he knocked himself over.

He knew that nothing good would come of him pacing camp, so he decided to go visit the ancestors to ask for a new dog before giving orders to his kennel. Once he got back, he gave his orders and went about his business.

the pack greeted the new irontooth warmly for the most part. the younger pups seemed to cower over her hulking mass as she went to greet them, though the discouragement slowly faded away as she proved to be a skilled fighter as they went through their daily training. apollo didn't come out to see it, too busy with finding the right mentors for laika's pups but gave her a quick bump on the shoulder as he passed her.

eris grinned, a proud gleam in her dark amber orbs as her eyes followed the large cream body. he stepped over to the large boulder, hopping with ease and muscles rippling underneath his coarse pelt for a moment before he settle down and let out a booming bark to call to the pack. he watched as heads shot up, alerted of his presence and then trotting over.

"today, a ceremony will take place." he began, turning his pointed muzzle to the nursery, where the mother's and their pups lay huddled. "and i'll need laika and her pups to come out with us for this.. Clover too." he said, a smile placed gently upon his tough features.

their was a sudden flash of sable from the nursery, aswell as loud squeaks and a sudden snapping of laika. "hush, children!" she said sternly, shutting them up for the time being as they bounded over. Clover on the other hand, stumbled awkwardly out of the medic den.

"Firstly, I would like Clover to come up here." Apollo said, and a silence hung over the pack as Clover helplessly flailed trying to get up the large boulder. she managed to get up, and as she looked down, she saw Beau's face held a huge grin, which was slightly uplifting compared to some of the judgy looks she was getting. "When I first met Clover, she was no bigger than my paw." Apollo continued, and Clovers cheeks burned. "And she has grown so much from that, she has learnt our code and trained for this, for she is from now on a irontooth!" His voice rang out into the crowd, and a chant broke out of Clovers name.

Clover couldn't suppress the sudden feeling, she felt so welcomed, like she was truly apart of the pack. But most importantly, she felt love. She could hear a few dog's voices above others, like Zariana & Beau. Zariana, the one who had found her all those moons ago and took on a motherly role. And beau, the one who she had grown so close to.

Once the pack has settled, Apollo called up the three alaskan Klee Kai's. "Seraph, Blitz & Jay, I'm sure you all are excited?" He asked with a smile, the three yipping yeses quickly. "Well then, I'd like you all to get used to your new mentors. Seraph, Chablis will be your mentor. Blitz, lucian will be your mentor. And Jay, you'll be working with Patriot." He finished, nodding quickly before signalling the end of the meeting with the same words he always said. "Let us all rejoice that once again the starry-eyed ancestors have blessed us with such a thriving pack."

lucian and nessie were less than ecstatic when they were chosen to go after the mysterious rouge, lucian groaning inwardly, though just loud enough to annoy his former lover, nessie. her tail swatted angrily through the air, and she stormed out with the steely-coated male following at her heels.

"you know, sweetheart, that frown doesn't look to good on your face." lucian teased darkly, pearly teeth showing as he smiled passive-aggressively. this earned him another growl from his beta, and this caused him to smiler wider.

"shut up." she snapped, "we're supposed to working." she said to him, then turning her olive-green eyes to what was in front of her.

"I personally believe we should be working on that tone." he commented, dodging her swat across his face just barely.

Weather Report: The snow is all gone and the sun has begun to peer through the growing, budding branches of the lanky trees. The sun's rays are slowing beginning to warm everyone's backs, and the summer heat is slowly building up as the dogs prepare for a nice, hot summer.

( I am really new to this kind of things, I don't know if what I wrote is okay, if not I will redo it. )

The Kennel of No Stars is known for being called the rejects of the humans since where they live there are humans everywhere. They are not the kindest dogs and are quick to attack due to their territory declining at a shocking rate. These dogs are kind and caring to each other, but not to other kennels. The Kennel of No stars is named after the overwhelming light that the humans cause, that makes the stars disappear. ( They live in either the city or a very populated suburb )

Their territory is spread over parks and the streets. There is a vast cemetery that is rumored that deers and hogs live there. ( I live near a cemetery and they have to have a large area for new graves and a lot of the time Deers and other animals back the unused area a home ) In the summer/spring the dogs send out mostly their Tenderpaws and young Ironteeth with their mentors go hunting most of the time because prey is much more easier to find. In fall more of the senior Ironteeth start to hunt, and then in winter almost everybody is hunting trying to find to scare prey.

The dogs are mostly mutts, and have no particular look.

They have a camp in an abandoned house that is overgrown with vegetation.

The Kennel of the Shining Suns

Territory

This kennel lives in a bright forest where the sunlight filters through the trees. There is a river running through the forest. They live very reclusively, as not many know they exist.

Reputation

The dogs here are loyal, kind, and always accepting, never wantimg to make a dog leave. They are very friendly, never wanting to make enemies.

After a successful hunt, Winston and Aberdeen sat down together to share the rabbit they had caught. Aberdeen was very fast and sped up behind it easily. It had hardly been given a chance to run. They discussed how Aberdeen had heard of the rumors Winston spread before journeying to the valley they would soon consider home, and he confessed to it. She was not upset and seemed unphased by the information, as if she had expected it. As they stood in the now dusky field, a snapping branch made Winston's ears perk up. He turned and looked in the direction but saw nothing and shrugged it off. The two found an overhang of stones beside the waterfall and lay down a few feet apart beneath it. Winston fell asleep quickly but Aberdeen remained awake for a while.

Aberdeen rested her head on her paws and stared out at the starry sky from beneath their stony shelter. It was a deep navy blue and was only decorated with a few wispy clouds. She heard something moving out in the fields and shrubbery, but was not really bothered by it. It was probably another tasty rabbit. She thought about her siblings back in the city and hoped they might find their way here someday. They had been separated by petty quarrels from a young age, but she saw her two brothers every once in a while in passing. She had no lasting hard feelings for them and wished them well. Looking over at the sleeping Winston, she felt unsure. She liked him, so far, but hoped her volatile nature would not turn him cold to her as well.

Aberdeen awoke to find herself alone and stretched her legs out in front of her. She stood and stepped out into the open, her tawny head swiveling around in search of sight or smell of Winston. She soon spotted him standing in a shallow part of the stream a few dozen yards away and trotted off in his direction. He seemed to know that she was approaching and began speaking without turning to face her once she got closer.

"I think we better find a more permanent place to stay," he said. "Once more dogs arrive we will need more space and security."

Aberdeen voiced her agreement and then they set off at a fast but leisurely pace toward the base of Goldrush Mountain. They sniffed around at the base for a while until Aberdeen heard an excited bark from Winston up ahead. He had found a trail tucked into the side of the slope and it rounded the hillside a few yards up. They started up, intrigued to see where it led. The climb took about twenty minutes at their quick pace. The slope on the left rose steeply above them, and to the right dropped dangerously. A dog would need to be careful travelling by this route, but it would definitely serve as a good protection source as well. The ground was smooth dirt and green plants grew along the sides. Ferns brushed against Aberdeen's fur and let off a sweet scent. Throughout the time they climbed, however, Aberdeen could not shake the feeling that they were being followed. Suddenly, the ground leveled out and a clearing was before the two dogs. Winston's tail began to wag excitedly and he jogged around beneath the trees, whose branches started to thicken more than halfway up the trunks, creating a ceiling of sorts. There were some large stones and what looked like abandoned fox burrows. With a little work, they could be dug out to accommodate larger and many more dogs. The opposite side of the clearing held another path, that they later found led up to a field and small mountain pool, but the sides around this were steep and would make it difficult for intruders to get down unnoticed. Aberdeen stepped up to the edge of mountainside in the direction that they'd come and looked out onto the valley and trees below her from a flat stone that hung out over the side slightly. She made a mental note that any pups would need to be watched very closely and warned away from this drop.

"This is perfect!"

Winston's voice echoed out behind her and Aberdeen turned to see his golden tail-end wagging as he was half inside a large foxhole. She chuckled to herself, her similarly wagging tail brushing the ground. Suddenly, a loud crack and a scrambling sound came from the path and Aberdeen spun in defense. She trotted toward the path and looked down it to see a young dog sliding down the upward slope as if she had tried to climb up it without being noticed. Her frightened and wide deep brown eyes met Aberdeen's and she froze, quivering slightly. She appeared to be a shepherd mix of some kind. Aberdeen saw she was probably only a few months in age and immediately took on a less hostile demeanor. Winston's face appeared over her shoulder and the puppy lowered her head to the ground submissively.

"I-I'm sorry," she said quietly, her voice shaking. "I was just hoping you might have something to eat."

"We don't right now," Winston replied. "But if you would like to come help us look we would gladly share."

He turned and walked back into the clearing and Aberdeen followed suit after a moment. Soon the puppy's small brown face appeared at the trail opening. She cautiously made her way up beside them. They learned her name was Arya and that she was six months old. She was on the run from bad humans who had kept her chained up in their yard for days with no food or water. Together the three set off back down the mountainside in search of more food for the slowly growing pack.

Today was a joyous day. In the crisp morning air, the kennel gathered in their rows, looking excited at their leader on the Post. In front of them, the three puppies lined up, each displaying their pride and anticipation differently. Maena sat straight as she could, face straight and tail still. Her fur was groomed to perfection and she didn't say a word. Beside her, Eraelis was vigorously scratching her ear. She was so nervous and self conscious that she had to keep doing something, anything, to distract her mind. And finally, there was Cason. He looked a little scruffy, but was chatting away to Eraelis who was frankly ignoring him about becoming a tenderpaw. Suddenly, Rerria began. "As you all know, today marks the day of these three pups becoming six moons old. Thus, it is time for them to move up in ranks." An excited murmur broke out and Rerria silenced them with a glare. "Cason, would you please step forward." As he did so, the leader jumped down to join him. "For you I have chosen Blu. He will both channel and control your energy with his knowledge of personal experience, and together you will learn a great many things." Blu came forwards and stood, proud, in front of Cason. The two touched noses to make it official, and murmuring words of assurance and pride Blu lead Cason back to sit with the rest of the kennel. The ceremony continued on for Maena, with her mentor as Aeron, and Eraelis whom Rerria decided to take on herself.

Waylar found himself constantly staring at the newest pack member. For today he'd been excused of duty as to be honest there wasn't much to do. So, bored, he'd spent a lot of time moping round camp, talking to random dogs and just relaxing. But whenever Ellya was in his line of sight he couldn't help but feel a little bit happier. He told himself that he shouldn't and that he was not doing himself any favours. After all, Shamans can't take mates. It was pointless, but he also knew that it was just the smallest of crushes. Just a mild attraction. Nothing to worry about.
And then, she caught him looking. From the other side of camp they smiled shyly at eachother and Ellya started to approach him. As she drew closer, Waylar let his tail wag.
"Hiya Waylar. You alright?"
"Yeah, I'm good thanks. You?"
"Feeling fine. I uh, I realised we hadn't spoken much and I wondered if you wanted to hang out? Go hunting maybe?"
"I'd love to! Thanks." Waylar replied. Ellya actually wanted to be friends with him! Nothing more than friends, he hoped. And for now, he was right.

The dogs of this kennel reside within mountains. They have a large territory to help keep everyone fed. The dogs living there sleep within caverns and migrate from place to place with the change of seasons. For the winter they travel to the bottom of the mountains to hunt within the forest surrounding their home. In summer they travel over stone and hunt hares and mountain goats along with whatever else they manage to snatch.
Due to the chilly winds and generally cold and bare climate, exposed to the elements, the dogs are mostly if not exclusively longhaired, possessing thick or double coats. Dogs with short coats can also be seen in the pack, but they must be capable of managing the common cold. Most of the dogs are large, smaller dogs being looked down apon not just literally. They are usually confined to being shamans or omegas, sometimes even ironteeth as well, but they hunt and eat only smaller prey the larger dogs would consider too small to satisfy.

The personality of the wolves is often just as rough as their pads and the stone they are used to traversing. Snappy and quick-tempered, they often may fight even amongst themselves. With outsiders, they will accept only those who manage to prove themselves useful. A grim fate awaits those who fail. The elders are not considered of a separate role. A dog will be an irontooth until death and while some may let them take it easy on patrols, others will force them to keep up. The dogs fear their alpha, fiercely obedient in fear of being torn apart on command by others.
It's not particularly uncommon for mating to be somewhat forced as well, particularly when it comes to the alpha, beta and omega. The former two may choose whoever they wish to mate with, while the latter tends to lack any choice and have to settle for whoever.

To become an irontooth in this kennel, a tenderpaw must bring down a mountain goat alone and bring it back. Generally, it is a matter of pride how big the catch is, but there are situations in which dogs may overestimate themselves and take on more than they can. In such a case, they do not receive help. For smaller dogs, they compete with larger tenderpaws in hunting and combat to prove that their small size does not stop them from being capable of handling being a full member.

After a ceremony is performed, the dogs howl, mimicking wolves as an attempt to strike fear into the hearts of their neighbours.

Main prey: Mountain goat (or bighorn sheep) (adult or billy/lamb), (mule) deer, hare, rabbit as well as mice, pika, chipmunks for smaller dogs. In the forest below they may find squirrels and hunt birds, although the variety is small as the forest is mostly a winter home. The dogs may sometimes also munch on a lizard, but few enjoy it. It is also possible to see them tear even large birds from the sky as they swoop to catch prey for themselves and get caught.

Threats: Cougars, birds of prey and coyotes (to small dogs and pups), rams/bighorn sheep (just horned mammals in general like moose or elk too) and even black bears
