Flamestar led the way back through the hills towards the swamp. ”So what’s your name?”

”The name’s Shadowpelt!” The dark tom chuckled for a moment until they reached the top of the hill. The land rolled down to meet the swamp, and the croaking of frogs echoed in their ears. ”Is that the territory? Cool!” Shadowpelt raced ahead and leaped onto a small island with a single dead tree, slimy water dragging at the edges, just a whisker away from his paws. Flamestar chuckled and ran after him.

”Welcome to Flameclan! The camp is on that island over there!” The two toms hopped from sunken lump to sunken lump until they could scramble into camp.

”So wheres the prey? I'm hungry after that journey!” Flamestar hesitated at his deputys words.

”Well I haven’t gone hunting yet… I came to ask Starclan for a cat first…” He held his breath, hoping this bubbly cat wouldn’t be angry.

”Ok! That just means you’ll have to go hunting!” Shadowpelt beamed, yellow eyes shining.

”Tomorrow. Right now I'm tired!” Flamestar meowed, stifling a yawn.

[THE NEXT MORNING]

”Rise and shine sleepy head!” Flamestar grunted and opened his eyes to see Shadowpelt prodding him in the side. ”It’s about time you went hunting!”

”What do you mean me? Shouldn’t we go together?”

”I was thinking you could hunt while I marked the borders! A good clan needs strong borders! Anyhow, a little birdy told me Starclan is feeling generous so you can hunt until sun high and then travel to the moonpool after to ask for a cat!”

”Oh ok.” Flamestar got up and shook out his fur.

”See you later!” Shadowpelt left the den and then the camp, heading for the west border. Flamestar gave himself a hasty grooming before heading south to hunt so he could deposit his catches when headed north to the moonpool.

Rimestar and Mallowpath hardly spoke as he followed her back to camp. Mallowpath would open his mouth to say something, but one place at the leader's expression told him that she wasn't the chatty type. Occasionally, however, the two cats would manage a few sentences of what could be considered conversation. "So... where exactly is the main camp?" the new deputy inquired. "Up there," Rimestar answered tersely, waving her tail in the vague direction of camp. Mallowpath paused to take a breath while she continued to leap ahead. "But what's the purpose of having a Clan so high up?" he asked. The leader gave a huff of irritation. "It keeps enemies out," she grunted while scaling a particularly steep climb, "keeps us safe." Rimestar attempted to bound forward, but lost her footing on the loose pebbles. She let out a yelp of terrors she began to tumble, her claws scrambling to hold on to something, anything. As she continued to slip from the ledge, the caught a glimpse of the forest below. It was a dizzying drop and she knew that there was no way she could survive such a fall. Just as she had begun to accept her fate, she felt a set of small, sharp teeth clenching on to the scruff of her neck. She was being pulled back onto solid ground, away from the ledge. As soon as Mallowpath released her, Rimestar dug her claws into the dirt, grounding herself. Her breaths were quick and uneven, and her heart was racing. "Safer, huh?" Mallowpath remarked, peering over the edge at the forest below. He quickly rushed back to the leader's side. "Are you alright?" he asked, helping Rimestar to her feet. "I don't need you to rescue me," she mewed, pushing him away, although her voice was still shaking from the rush of adrenaline. "Come on, then. We should get going." The black-and-white she-cat continued to make her way back to camp, Mallowpath quickening his pace to join her by her side.

"Are you sure you don't want some rest?" the deputy asked once they had arrived. Rimestar was practically drooping with exhaustion, but she shook her head and stood up taller. "Of course not," she said dismissively. "We need food, don't we? It's getting colder out. And I need to mark the borders, too... You never know who might wander into our territory. And we're a very small Clan; we might not be able to defend ourselves—" "Relax," Mallowpath urged. Rimestar gave him an indignant look. "I'm sorry for wanting to keep the Clan safe," she mewed sarcastically, pushing past Mallowpath on her way outside. The deputy followed her with his eyes for several moments. He couldn't help but admire the she-cat's fierce determination, even if it meant that she was stubborn and snappy. But he also knew that he couldn't think of her as anything other than a Clan leader — He wouldn't let his own meddling thoughts interfere with his duties as a deputy. "Are you coming or not?" Rimestar mewed suddenly, staring at him curiously. "Yes, of course," Mallowpath responded, pushing his thoughts aside and hurrying after the leader.

Nightstone watched from a distant, they had two kits. Scorchkit and Heronkit, both male, both healthy, both strong. She rolled her eyes a little, and of course one of them looked exactly like Soulstar, long snout, big ears. Oh how happy everyone was, she was bitter of course. Everything seemed to be going peachy with her brother which bothered her deeply to no end, everything always went right for him. Her tail lashed rather quickly as she laid in the shade, the heat was annoying espcially in Skullclan, there were barely any trees to offer shade as it was.

Soulstar passed on vising the moonpool today due to the kits, it was early morning and he was feeling much better then he did a few moons ago. He knew it was because of the kits, they didn't mean to say he still wasn't paranoid. Coming out of his den he climbed down the steep rocks and hill and started towards the nursery, although he stopped and his head turned to see his sister staring at the the nursery and now him. He found it hard to believe she was also going to be a mother soon, that bothered him. Her kits would be around the same age as his. He only hoped Nightstone sour and vindictive attitude rubbed off on her own, or his for that matter. He just watched her for a brief moment before walking into the den. "Goodmorning." He purred to Basileyes, Riverheart, and Boneleaf. There were six kits in the den, a big number and soon more. "We will have a lot of apprentices." Riverheart laughed and Soulstar grinned. "I can only hope there is enough warriors for them all."

Troutleap was curious to know who was going to the gathering, he knew that last few trips Soulstar went on ended with Troutleap beinging left behind. He undertsood why but he simply didn't want to be left behind for this again and he knew he had to ask his leader at some point. Once his leader returned from the den Troutleap was hot on his heels. "How are the kits?" Troutleap questiopned wuickly. Soulstar smiled, "Quite good actually, how are you?" Troutleap was clearly wanting to know an answer because he skipped right to the point. "So who is going to the gathering." Soulstar laughed. "Well a nice. ' I am fine today Soulstar.' would of been nice." Troutleap sighed and quickly apoligized. "Well I haven't decided yet, I will let you know tomorrow." Troutleap stopped and rolled his eyes with a loud and huff. This just made Soulstar laugh.

Darkstar looked up to see Smokebreath and Midnightclaw looking down at her. Midnightclaw, aren't they beautiful?
Yes they are my queen.
She looked around to see Smokebreath standing in the corner, smiling in a somewhat sad way.
Smokebreath, theres nothing wrong right?
She could tell from his face that nothing was wrong, but she realised it must be especially hard for him, to see these beautiful kits and know he could never father his own.
Yes, two she-cats and a tom, what do you want to call them
I think I should call them Mistkit, Mosskit, and Blackkit,

Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey..... well, were all here, so lets welcome these beautiful kits to the clan

Darkstar puffed as she went up the hill to moonpool she still wasn't sure if it was a good Idea to leave her little ones with the two toms, but with the more mouths to feed she knew she would need a warrior, so thats why she was going.

As Emberstar came back with a new warrior then Sighlight come above the trees and shone onto the ground as Emberstar eyes where getting tired. She quickly told Nightcry where every thing his and slipped off to bed with no sound.

Blazeclaw awoke seeing the new cat. He nodded and flicked his tail too say hello as he did it back to him. Wavepaw awoke too seeing Nightcry,

"Hello!" The small cat said giving off a little playful smile as Nightcry nodded and said good morning, "I see your new around here." As wavepaw looked around the gray cat as Nightcry nodded. "not a big talker?" He said sitting down as Flamestorm came out of the den with her big blue eyes.

Time went on as Flamestorm, Nightcry and Wavepaw talked for a little bit as Blazeclaw came up to them "Do you know where Emberstar is?" He said looking around them to see if she's there, "She gone to sleep for a little." Nightcry said with a little smile as Blazeclaw nodded and started to walk over to Emberstar Den but she was not there.

Blazeclaw started to get worried about this plank of a cat, So he sighed and sat down into his den and waited.

Emberstar was walking to the moonpool asking for a Queen.

WEATHER: it is currently leaf-fall. Leaves have just begun to show signs of changing their colors and withering. Herbs and prey are still aplenty, and a light breeze blows through the territories. Kittings will be getting harder as leaf-bare approaches, so stock up on herbs!

Pinepaw had run off to go see Adderkit, as the apprentice clearly had more energy then they did and wanted to have some fun. "I grieve for Cricketstar and Honeyflame, they have such thick coats." Saltleap yawned and looked towards the entrance. "I suppose she will be back soon, hopefully with a new member." Bluesage sat up and glanced at the entrance himself. "Well I am not going to look for her." He grinned and Otterleaf laughed. Although sure enough the Coastclan leader walked in with a small green eyed tabby. Approaching the group she would give them all a nod. "This is our newest warrior, her name is Hollypool. Make her feel welcomed, I myself am quite tired from the days journey and the heat it had to offer. So I am off to my den, tomorrow is a big day for us. We will be discussing who wants to come to our little gather with our two allies." Otterleaf had rolled over by now. "What about Roseclan?" Saltleap gave Cricketstar a quick look and the other she-cat shrugged. "We will see I suppose."

Now that Mousewillow is here we have someone to guide us through trouble." Snowstar nodded vigorously, mouth now full of lemming.

Mothpaw then skittered over and hooked a field mouse out of the pile and chowed down, "What's the plan, Swiftleap?" Timberfang's massive paw cuffed the apprentice over the ear, "Hush, I told you, I'm asking Swiftleap to let me take you training. And we'll hunt afterwards." the larger tom rolled his eyes gently, a grin on his face, while he glanced at Swiftleap. The two toms had a moment of silence before Swiftleap nodded, obviously granting the tom permission to do as he had planned.

Mousewillow sauntered over, eyes clouded over, a massive smile on her face. She giggled a little before halting and looking down at the four, "Hullo." she said quietly, tail drifting behind her as if stuck on some eternal breeze, "You don't mind if I go out and search for herbs, do you, Swiftleap? Snowstar?" The leader and deputy glanced at each other before Swiftleap shrugged lightly, "Of course not, Mousewillow. Just keep an eye out for any foxes."

"I suppose that leaves just us then," Snowstar said as she finished the lemming, "Care to join me on a patrol before I go visit the moonstone, Swiftleap?" Swiftleap responded with a purr, "I'd love that."

”Rise and shine sleepy head!” Flamestar grunted and opened his eyes to see Shadowpelt prodding him in the side. ”It’s about time you went hunting!”

”What do you mean me? Shouldn’t we go together?”

”I was thinking you could hunt while I marked the borders! A good clan needs strong borders! Anyhow, a little birdy told me Starclan is feeling generous so you can hunt until sun high and then travel to the moonpool after to ask for a cat!”

”Oh ok.” Flamestar got up and shook out his fur.

”See you later!” Shadowpelt left the den and then the camp, heading for the west border. Flamestar gave himself a hasty grooming before heading south to hunt so he could deposit his catches when headed north to the moonpool.

Darkstar puffed as she went up the hill to moonpool she still wasn't sure if it was a good Idea to leave her little ones with the two toms, but with the more mouths to feed she knew she would need a warrior, so thats why she was going.

"Duststar, I found a loner!" Mossflight called, pinned underneath her paws was a she-cat, struggling to get Mossflight away from her "Get off me you mange-pelt! what is the matter with you? cant a cat go hunting in peace!" hissed the she-cat, "Do you know who you're messing with?" Duststar hissed, his teeth bared to the she-cat, Mossflight quickly unpinned the she-cat but stayed close to her so she wouldn't run away "No, please tell me.." the she-cat said through gritted teeth, her claws sinking into the sand underneath her, a bit of silence was between Mossflight and Duststar as they shared confused glances at each other, the whole time the loner had her teeth bared, and claws out, it was Mossflight who spoke "We are cats from Pearlclan! I'm sure you have never heard of it.." Mossflight snapped to the she-cat, her eyes narrowed. "Calm down Mossflight, this cat obviously didn't know of us.. she must be as scared as you were when you were attacked" Duststar meowed, Mossflight growled, and the loner let out a small chuckle towards her "I suppose you don't want to join us.. you can scram.. just don't come on our territory again if you know what is good for you" Duststar calmly meowed, turning his back, his tail rose into the air, signaling Mossflight to follow him, as Mossflight padded to his side the she-cat yowled to them "Wait, let me join!" Mossflight and Duststar shared a smug grin before turning back to the loner "Follow us then, we are heading back to camp.. we finished our border patrol after all" Duststar replied, the 3 headed off back to camp.

When they arrived the loner's nose filled with new smells, she opened her jaws as they hit her face "I smell a cat who smells like herbs.. and another cat... that one has the smell of the ocean water" she mewed, "That is Blossomdream and Fogclaw.. both of them are great cats, who have dedicated their lives to Pearlclan" Duststar meowed with a grin, Mossflight said nothing but still stayed with them, as if she did not trust Duststar and the newcomer alone, Fogclaw soon padded up to them, Blossomdream emerging from her den as if she sensed a new cat on territory "Well hey there Duststar, I see you brought back a loner!" Fogclaw happily mewed, his gaze meeting with the new loner's ''I'm Fogclaw, what's your name?" he asked, grinning "O-Oh.. I'm Shell!' the loner replied, she seemed to be nervous, Mossflight nodded to Fogclaw, who nodded back and she ran off to talk to Blossomdream. "Well, Shell you will receive your warrior name tomorrow after Fogclaw finishes your training, we must see what name fits you best" Duststar said, "C'mon, I'll show you around, Shell!" smiled Fogclaw, "o-okay.." Shell grinned, she and Fogclaw walked off.
"I dunno, Blossomdream.. this new-comer is just so.. strange" Mossflight mewed, shuffling her paws around ''Well all newcomers are strange, Mossflight, I even thought Duststar was strange when I first met him" she chuckled, "Yeah well.. I just think Duststar likes her more than me.. and I don't think she has a strong liking towards me that much" whispered Mossflight, looking out the den entrance making sure no cat overheard, "Oh, I think Shell will go for Fogclaw, he was already mooning over her when he first saw her" chuckled Blossomdream, "I guess... but sti-" Mossflight began, but was cut off by Blossomdream's words "Mossflight, your a very kind she-cat.. and Duststar has known you much longer than this new-comer.." Blossomdream meowed.

The next morning Duststar and Mossflight set off for another patrol, going to go hunting for any prey that they could find, while doing that Fogclaw had went to go train Shell
