Lilysong had be hidden in one of the thick brushes of the clan's borders, thorn needles burrowed under her pelt. Fresh wounds littered her body, but she had pushed on until she was past the clearing. Viperstar had found her laying there during her patrol, tending to her paws. The leader was impressed by the she-cats determination to get through the stinging bushes and recognized the potential she had as a warrior of the clan. There was no medicine cat to see to her, so she would find shelter and rest in one of the dens until she was needed.

Thorntooth arrived in much the same way the next morning, only without a single scratch on his body. A difficult feat, but he had somehow managed to contort himself through the path without suffering the sting of a thorn. Viperstar was humored, wondering if it was perhaps his name that had protected him through his journey - or maybe it was the interference of Starclan. The moment she saw him, she knew he was perfect for her clan. He would become her deputy. Maybe it was in haste, but when he agreed to join her, she announced his role for him. He graciously accepted, bowing his head to her in a show of respect.

Lilysong padded out from the comfort of the warrior den, her wounds having healed tremendously. Viperstar was glad to see she was in better shape already. "Good morning," the icy fae greeted, sitting beside the two.

"Good morning. How are you feeling?" Viperstar questioned, quickly examining her warrior. Lilysong purred peacefully, announcing that she felt much better, only a bit hungry - her last meal was hours before she had gotten entangled in the thorn bushes and her body had required a lot of energy to heal. The mention of prey directed all of their attention towards the fresh kill pile, which was unquestionably not a pile. In fact, there was nothing there at all - not even a mouse tail. Quite the problem. "Do you feel well enough to hunt?" Viperstar returned her gaze to Lilysong and was met with a sly smile and single nod. "Good. Thorntooth will join you. Don't stray too far, not yet. I can't risk losing either of you."

Viperstar led them to the edge of their borders, quietly showing them a deeply hidden path, surrounded by foliage and dense shrubs, but otherwise lacking any thorns or brambles. It would lead out into the forest, near a riverbank. Perhaps they could find something there. While they were gone, she would continue her routine and patrol their borders.

"Skystar, are we there yet?" Amberpaw asked her mentor quietly, her eyes wide as she faced the bushes. "We must be." the tom answered wearily, his tired eyes searching the cliff. His nose was twitching as if he was detecting something familiar. Then it came to him. At once his eyes lit up with joy, and the leader at once looked uplifted. "Emberblaze!" he called. The scent was fresh. Relief coursed through him like a wave. "Emberblaze?" Amberpaw thought. "Skystar?" the voice was faint, but definitely there. The tom bounced like an excited kit, before stopping as his tired legs nearly buckled beneath him from exhaustion. "Skystar?" Amberpaw asked worriedly, her gaze looking around. "Are you okay?" the apprentice asked. Skystar nodded, taking a few more steps cautiously before leaning against a tree. "Skystar!" Emberblaze called excitedly, bursting through the trees. "Amberpaw? Come with me." he continued. "Where is everybody else? CloudClan?" Skystar asked, looking around as if he was expecting a patrol to be with Emberblaze. "The-there gone. Even Cloudyspots and Jayflight and Meadowfern, some of the other first members. It's just me and Blossomfur and... Lyrawing." Skystar paused, his eyes blank with darkness. "Even though we were all chased by sheep together? I hope they are alright then..." he sighed. "Meadowfern is gone then. Have you had any sign of Hazelpaw or Mintpaw though?" Amberpaw questioned with deep sadness. Emberblaze shook his head, causing Amberpaw to hang her head. "Who is this Lyrawing then?" Skystar asked, his sadness lifting slightly as curiosity took over. "Some constellation-obsessed cat who says she comes from... CosmoClan? She claims I'm now in her 'CosmoClan' too." Skystar nodded, his eyes revealing nothing.

shubunkinstar awoke with a start, yowling as she drew her nose away from the icy cold waters of the moonpool. as she shook her tortoiseshell muzzle, the leader panned her green eyes around the clearing, resting on a tom who had suddenly appeared. "hello," the tom mewed, his oddly black-and-white pelt shining in the dawn light. "i'm kumonryu."

fitting, shubunkinstar thought to herself. the newcomer's pelt was a bicolor black-and-white just like the koi he was named for. "well, i'm shubunkinstar," the tortie leader introduced, dipping her head graciously. "i am the leader of koiclan. we are looking for a deputy, has starclan sent you?"

kumonryu seemed interested. "starclan? yes, i believe my arrival had something to do with that..." he trailed off, his green eyes dull and scanning the ground. "i'd like to join your clan."

"great!" shubunkinstar mewed. "you'll be my deputy."

the bicolor tom gladly accepted the new name 'kumonryuclaw', and set off on a short hunting trip before he agreed to scout for a camp location. meanwhile, shubunkinstar patrolled herself, looking for anythign that may have been hidden on the island.

The two cats were going along marking down the official borders of their clan. That was, until a sudden orange flash leaped out at them and attacked Weaseltuft. "Hey what are you doing? Get off of her you fleabag!" Tinystep hissed charging at the new tom cat. "Silence midget! It's you who should be getting off my land!" He snapped back. "Were so sorry sir! You're right. Let's tell Batstar. He lived here before us." Weaseltuft whimpered but was slapped by her friend. The rouge did seem pleased at her words but quickly grew angry again at the male warrior. "We won't be going anywhere. ShrikeClan now lives here." He hissed. Though the mention of the clan name got the rouge's attention. "ShrikeClan? A clan you say? Well, let me speak to your leader next moon. We can discuss things there. In fact, I may even join your little clan. Possibly my family could come along as well." He spoke with a small smile. The tom got off of Weaseltuft and she rushed back over to Tinystep. The tom nodded before the three cats went on their way.

Batstar returned to camp with a bird in his jaws and looked back to see his warriors. "Batstar while we were on patrol we found a rouge and he was not happy about us living here. He claimed his family once lived here but once he heard where we live and that were clan cats, he asked to meet you in a moons time." Tinystep explained to his leader. Batstar was a bit stunned but he nodded his head yes, agreeing to also meet this rouge. Some attitude this cat had. If that rouge did join, he would be a great guard. Though the clan got another surprise when a she cat entered the camp. "I'm so sorry! My name is Paleberry and I was sent by StarClan to be here. I'm supposed to be your medicine cat and I understand if you don't want m-" "Nonsense Paleberry! Welcome to ShrikeClan. I see you have a few herbs already with you huh?" Batstar purred at the she cat. Paleberry looked relieved and gave a nod before explaining the herbs she had. Wasn't much but they were quite important. Batstar showed her to her den before he went back to his own den.

Territory ✿ Irisclan’s territory is located in a large meadow that has a decent sized lake near their camp. The lake provides them with fresh water to drink, and fish to eat. The camp is eat of the lake, and the camp is surrounded by tall grass. Though the grass is much taller than most of the cats, they have adapted to traveling through it. After not very long, the tall grass comes to an end and the cats come to a lake. Beyond the lake, the cats can see very far. Around the lake is many iris flowers that the cats believe is a sacred type of flower.

Prey ✿ Fish collected from the lake, mice scurrying through the tall grass, rabbits often found near the lake, voles found in the short grass, shrews that wander through the tall grass, and meadowlark are sometimes found by the lake.

Cat Personalities ✿ Irisclan cats are very loyal to their clan. Around other clans, they often act innocent, though if they are attacked, they are very aggressive. They tend to be very agile cats aswell which helps them while hunting for prey.

Rowanstep headbutts Daisyflight, nearly knocking her off balance. She spins around awkwardly, her fur growing hot.
"Oh h-hey, Rowanstep." The tom smiled, nudging her.
"Care for a walk?" Daisyflight nodded. Roestar watched from a distance, narrowing his eyes. He had never trusted Rowanstep, only allowing him into the clan to please Daisyflight. He caught Rowanstep's eye, and watched as a innocent smile spread his face. Roestar looked away, he knew Rowanstep was up to something, and Daisyflight was caught in the middle of it. He decided to seek out StarClan, in worries that Rowanstep's plans might involve fighting.

He rested his head and watched Hollypelt give a lecture to her new apprentice, Valleypaw, and simultaneously sort herbs. He didn’t much care what she spoke about or that he was left alone. He liked the silentlce but would also rather be getting work done and helping out his leader. Another sigh left him. Next moon, he told himself, I will be able to work again. He closed his eyes and allowed sleep to overcome him.

“What do you mean you don’t know where your sister is?!”
“Like Bramblekit and I have already said - she must have left when we were all sleeping! We don’t know where or when!” Greykit protested, clearly tired of the lecture and yelling Rainpelt was giving him. Rainpelt’s fur went pale and she looked around, desperate to find her leader and hopefully be able to go with him to find her beloved kit. When not immediately seeing him, she ran to his den in hopes to find him there. But he wasn’t there... nor was most warriors usually in camp. They must have left to do their duties. So, Rainpelt ran back to her kits and instructed them to stay with Littleheart until she returned. Then, Rainpelt ran out of camp to find Juniperkit.

"buntingkit, come back here!" frecklestar cried, wincing at the soreness as she stood up
from her nest. she glanced at the other three sleeping bundles; haykit, a cream she-cat,
hazelkit, a fluffy cream molly, and a tortie named juniperkit. they all slept peacefully, but
the first born, buntingkit, didn't want to sleep. she insisted to her mother than sleeping
was for kits, not for mercenary-to-bes. she wanted be an initiate now, and she was barely
a month old. ever since the strange cat diamond came- with her obvious connection to st
arclan, marineclan hadn't been the same. because of reefstar's treachery, the clan was
renamed to drizzleclan, so that they might put the past behind them. ranks were given
new names, kits were born and old members that frecklestar had grown to consider family
had left due to the chaos. especially conch, who claimed she couldn't raise any of her kits
in this clan. and turtlefur had left after she gave birth, abandoning the kits that reminded
her all too much of her beloved reefstar who had died at frecklestar's claws. so, diamond,
who had come to the clan pregnant, skydance, and frecklestar shared responsibility and
cared for shadowkit, pumpkinkit, and adderkit. but turtlefur had taken the first born, visited
reefstar's grave, then disappeared forever. frecklestar watched buntingkit with a loving
expression painted on her face, wondering if her life could ever get more perfect. she had
saved and reborn her clan. at the entrance, the ferns shook that draped over the rocky ent
rance danced in movement. cypressfall, mynawatcher, and elkleap entered the caves and
were followed by a cat she did not think she would ever see strolling through camp; pigeon.
"leave us." frecklestar meowed to the three mercenaries, her ears twitching. "buntingkit,
come here." she called to her first-born, and the little calico hopped over with enthusiasm.
"is this an invader, momma? he kinda looks like haykit and hazelkit!" she squeaked, her tiny
tail lashing. "i can chase him off!" buntingkit announced, leaping at pigeonnose with ferocity.
"no, buntingkit. this is your father." frecklestar said sternly, her gaze locked onto pigeonnose.
"father? but why isn't he apart of drizzleclan?" buntingkit asked, her head tilted to the side.
"because I have other cats to watch over." pigeonnose answered for frecklewish, looking at his
kit with admiration. "is she the only one, or are there others?" he said, finally acknowledging
freckle.
"there are others. hazelkit, haykit, and juniperkit come out here!" she called to her other kits,
a stiffness in her movements. "why are you here? i'm clan leader, you can't come bargin-" she
briskly cut herself off when the sleepy bundles of fur came from the founder's den. she purred
in encouragement. "children, come meet your father."
"yes, your mother says you can come visit me at my clan for a few days!" pigeonnose spoke up,
giving frecklestar a hard glare.
"except buntingkit, she must stay here to keep mother company. how does that sound, kits?"
"frecklestar! that's completely unfair! why do they get to go, but i have to stay?"
"not another word, buntingkit. say goodbye to your father and sisters, he's leaving."
