Rosepaw sat with Flintfang, Patchfur, Splatterpaw, and Hurricanecry. She had soon found herself more comfortable with her new friends, rather than with Bearpaw or Vanillapaw. 'They don't even seem to like me anymore...' She thought with a sigh.
"So, how has it been dealing with Blackspot?" Flintfang questioned her, offering a sly smirk.
Rosepaw shrugged. "He doesn't seem like he enjoys having apprentices help out." She said, frowning a bit.
"Oh yeah, I noticed he doesn't seem to like any cat!" Patchfur added in with an eye roll.
"He seems... alright." Hurricanecry said, lowering her head a little.
"Alright?? My brother's a maniac! He's good with herbs, but he also enjoys every little injury that happens in the clan. He's bored, I bet he wants a battle to happen so he has something to do." Flintfang ranted, his fur fluffing out a little.
"Hey!" Flameskip called to the group. "Instead of being chatty little birds, go out and get the clan something to eat!" He demanded.
Rosepaw was about to trott away with the group, but Flameskip pulled back Splatterpaw and her. "Splatterpaw, you go on with Blazestar's border patrol." He ordered the small calico tom. The deputy turned to her. "You'll have Vanillapaw on our patrol and you both will be hunting and fishing together. Blazestar said we cannot have arguements and resentment towards each other in the clan." He said, eye her down.
'Maybe I don't hate her, but I don't want to be near her...' She thought, almost sneering as she saw the she-cat coming over. "Behave!" Flameskip called back to the two as the patrol set off.

"Amberlight and I are going to go meet the new clan," Deerstar announced back at camp. "We'll be back soon," she meowed and headed towards the Summitclan border with the warrior to meet with Wolfclaw.

Powderbeeze glanced around. "Alright Softheart, can you go stay with Cherryflower until she can come into camp with her kits?" she asked, watching the former queen leave and head towards where they found the queen. "Ocrafur, Ramclaw, and Foxstrike border patrol," she meowed. "I'll lead a hunting patrol and take Frostedleaf and Beethorn," she meowed, "Everyone else is free to do as they wish," she meowed.

Justice will come on swift wings, none shall ever escape

Swanstar could not have arrived at a worse time; Fogwhisker was grieving the loss of Wrenkit, the two healers were terribly ashamed of their actions, Smokeheart had disappeared somewhere, Fritillarystar was kitting and all the apprentices had been taken out by their mentors; the clan only had a handful of warriors that weren't busy on some patrol, kitting, crying, sneaking off or mentoring the new generation of warriors.

The ones that'd been left behind were either too old, too embittered or too unknowing to stand up against Swanstar as the white molly sweeped into the camp, trailed by three younger cats as noble as the leaders of old. As she approached the ledge, cats gathered and stared at the newcomer; confused by her confidence and the swagger in her step. Nobody dared step in her path, the sun causing her shadow to grow taller than the lightning oak that stood outside their camp; it's branches bent to the will of the wind.

''I am Swanstar''

The name carried weight, and the air seemed to bow under it. For a long time, there was no noise except for the yowling of Fritillarystar as she gave birth to her new heirs; everyone ignored the screeches. ''W-why are you here?'' croaked Sandleap, his bat-like ears twitching anxiously. ''Surely, surely you have your own clan? If your called -star?'' Linnettail stepped up, nodding in quiet agreement. ''Yeah! Were you kicked out or something?'' The brown molly tilted her head questiongly. ''What business do you have here?''

It was the cocky Siamese that spoke, the fur on his back bristling with pride and arrogance and all things ugly. ''We're here to reclaim what was hers!'' He glared challengingly at the gathered warriors, staring off Lizardpath who hastily backed off; ducking behind Neritefang for protection. ''Since your leader snatched it from her!'' He scoffed with loud contempt, scowling at the clan-cats as though they were flea-bitten foxes; hang-dog and murderous.

''Swanfoot?'' came one confused voice. ''Swanstar?'' came another, speaking in unison and rolling from the mouths of the two former TumbleClanners. Harefoot and Ravenflower stood still, shocked and wide-eyed but seeing straight through her fib; as carefully woven as a spider's web but yet failing to trap the fly. ''W-what do you mean this clan is yours?'' Ravenflower was bewildered, although she reasoned that during her leave that Swanfoot could have very well left her clan; but that wasn't possible, was it? ''This is Fritillarystar's clan.'' Harefoot nodded in agreement, staring questioningly at her. ''How is it possible?'' The stumpy-tailed tom eyed Swanstar thoughtfully. ''How did you make another clan?''

Swanstar's face was that of ice, and her eyes were calculating. ''With charm, obviously.'' She smirked, raising her chin. ''The nine that died...one of them was Robinstorm? She knew me.'' She didn't know her, but Swanstar had met her in the gloom of the forest and had conversed with her; her life, or curse, was revenge. ''She died trying to claim back this clan, trying to usurp Fritillarystar's reign.'' Ice-blue and leaf-green eyes challenged Ravenflower to argue, to snap and to bicker; mossy-green eyes backed down, flickering to the ground below. And with the old healer's submission, the rest of the clan bowed their heads.

Nearly the rest of the clan, a solitary elderly head remained firmly up and that head was blind old Neritefang, all too often shunted to one side, even by Smallwhisker who'd requested StarClan grace MoorClan with her presence. Swanstar noticed her stubbornness and inside her, somewhere, bloodlust prickled and boiled. ''Dear? Are you okay?'' Neritefang crooned, tilting her head inquiringly. ''You must be delusional, if you think this clan is yours.''

A soft gasp and the faintest of whispers.

''Oh, it is mine.'' Swanstar replied, with a smile that mirrored a serpent's. ''You're the delusional one.''

''You're the murderous one.'' came the adamant voice.

Stormfang signaled with his tail to stop. The four cats in his patrol did as told, looking around the area warily. The solid gray warrior meowed quietly, "This is the place." Oakshadow's eyes narrowed as the tabby tom remarked drily, "I think we can all tell that from here." Stormfang ignored the sarcasm from the tom as he ordered, "Vinescratch, Mintnose, go left. Stay close to each other. Nightwing, Oakshadow, to the right." The SeaClan warriors nodded and went off, leaving the solid gray tom alone. Stormfang began to press forward, the reek of badger in the air threatening to burn his nostrils. Suddenly, cats' yowls filled the air as the growls of a badger sounded. Stormfang's hairs stood on end as he recognized Mintnose and Vinescratch's yowls. Even if he didn't like the gray-and-white warrior, he'd have to save him, as he didn't want to displease Leafstar. Stormfang saw a flash of black and brown as he saw Nightwing and Oakshadow, much younger cats than he, dashing past him toward the fight scene. A low hiss escaped his jaws as the solid gray tom pushed on.

The badger was bigger than any of the cats had expected. Its massive black-and-white pelt was criscrossed already with red streaks of blood when Stormfang had arrived. Foaming at the mouth with rage, the large creature lunged at Mintnose, who already was limping badly from what looked like a broken paw; Stormfang saw Vinescratch fling himself at the maddened badger, claws unsheathed. The solid gray tom saw that the badger turn its attention to the new cat and bared its massive fangs at the gray-and-white warrior. It arched its back and shook violently, eventually flinging Vinescratch into a bramble bush, where the warrior struggled to get off from. Stormfang had seen enough. The solid gray tom let out a bloodcurdling warcry and slashed out at the badger. The black-and-white creature roared with rage and pain as it attempted to flatten the gray tom; at the same time, however, Nightwing and Oakshadow came in from another side and slashed at the beast with their own claws. With a roar, the badger disengaged; the beast took one last look at the cats and, with another roar, it lumbered away, toward the PineClan border. Stormfang and Oakshadow gave chase until it disappeared over the boundaries of SeaClan's territory.

The patrol did not say anything until the badger had gone; when it had, and the two toms had returned, Nightwing spoke up, "We should let Leafstar know the badger went to PineClan." Nodding, Stormfang meowed, "All right. We should get going." Turning to Vinescratch, who had managed to free himself from the thorny branches with minor scratches, the gray tom asked, "You all right?" The gray-and-white tom nodded, meowing embarrassedly, "I can't believe I let that badger throw me around like that!" Whiskers twitching slightly with amusement, Stormfang turned to Mintnose, who was limping heavily. The gray Maine coon she-cat meowed reassuredly, "It's a broken paw, I'll live through it." Nightwing meowed, "We'd better get that looked over when we go back." Stormfang nodded, "Then let's go."

<Back at camp>
Leafstar was pacing back and forth in front of the Clan camp's back exit. The sandy brown tabby tom could only hope nothing bad had happened to any of his warriors. Ivypaw, acting as scout, came running in. Leafstar stopped the young tabby-and-white tom, meowing, "The patrol?" Ivypaw replied breathlessly, "All five are coming back, but Mintnose is limping and Vinescratch has some scratches on him." Leafstar nodded and ordered, "Get Honeytuft for me." Ivypaw nodded and disappeared into the medicine cat's chamber, only to emerge again with the honey-colored tom right behind him. Honeytuft meowed, a slight scowl on his otherwise-passive face, "I'd need bindweed and sticks if any of her limbs are broken..." Sighing softly, the medicine cat and the leader of SeaClan awaited the arrival of the patrol.

Stormfang was the first to arrive. He dipped his head to Leafstar and Honeytuft, meowing, "Mintnose's paw is broken, doubtlessly the badger's doing. Vinescratch was flung into a bramble bush, but he should be okay." Honeytuft nodded slowly as he looked over Stormfang, finally remarking, "Well, looks like you don't have any wounds." Nodding gratefully, Stormfang stood to the side as Nightwing and Vinescratch came in, flanking Mintnose, who was limping heavily. The gray Maine coon she-cat growled softly, "I almost barreled into the thing! If I'd known better I'd not have a broken paw." Honeytuft soothed, leading the injured she-cat to his chamber, "It'll be fine. Poppy seeds will help you not feel too much pain while I look for the herbs for you." Vinescratch mewed softly, "May I go see Brightstream please?" Leafstar gave the gray-and-white tom a long look before nodding at last. With a grateful dip of the head, the warrior disappeared into the tunnel leading down to the nursery. Nightwing meowed, glancing at Stormfang for a bit, "We sent the badger packing, but it went straight toward PineClan." Leafstar sighed, meowing, "We should let the PineClan cats know..." Oakshadow, who came in just now, meowed, "We should rest first, I think." The sandy brown tom nodded wearily, "At least the badger couldn't have gone too far in."

At that moment, a hesitant voice from the outside of the front camp entrance piped up, "Uhhh hello?" Turning around, Leafstar, Stormfang, Nightwing, Vinescratch, Ivypaw, and Oakshadow saw that it was a black-and-white tom who was standing timidly. Leafstar cautioned for his cats not to attack as he replied, "Yes?" The tom mewed, a bit more confident that no one had attacked him thus far, "Starry cats came to me saying that I should search for 'SeaClan'. Is this the place?" The SeaClan leader nodded gratefully, "You are the warrior StarClan has sent to us, then. What is your name?" "Patch," the black-and-white tom replied, "but I heard I'd get my name changed somewhat if I stay here." Nodding, Leafstar mewed, "All right then. I will call to the rest of my Clan."

The rest of the cats who had gone on patrols were coming back as Leafstar declared, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey meet here, around the Meeting Ledge, for a Clan meeting!" The apprentices and warriors gathered as Silverstorm came out of the nursery, preventing the curious kits from bounding out. Leafstar began, "Cats of the Clan! Today, we drove out the badger that had moved into our territory! Although Mintnose sustained a broken paw, and Vinescratch came with some scratches, none of our cats have received heavy injuries!" The cats that had been part of the battle patrol held their heads up proudly as the Clan cheered.

Leafstar then continued, "Now, we have been visited by Patch, a cat sent to us by StarClan, tonight. I wished for a warrior to join our ranks, and they have granted us the wish by sending him. Please," he added, "come to the front." Patch came to the front of the clearing as the SeaClan leader meowed, "I, Leafstar, leader of SeaClan, call upon StarClan to look down on this cat. He has expressed his desire to join our Clan and learn of your noble code. Patch," he continued, "do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend the Clan, even at the cost of your life?" The black-and-white tom did not flinch as he meowed, "I do." Leafstar nodded and replied, "Then, by the power of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. From this day forth, you shall be known as Patchcloud. StarClan honors your determination and confidence, and we welcome you as a full member of SeaClan." The sandy brown tom leapt down from his ledge just as the newly-named warrior bowed his head. Leafstar laid his nose on Patchcloud, at which the black-and-white tom respectfully licked his shoulder in return. The camp erupted at once with shouts of "Patchcloud!" as all of SeaClan welcomed their newest member.

(Now)
Tundra came back from a morning swim in the sea to see Stormfang waiting for him. Blinking in surprise, the former rogue went up to the solid gray tom. Stormfang looked up and dipped his head in greeting to the brown-pelted tom, meowing, "Leafstar told me to ask you to join our hunting patrol to the Pine Grove. He said he's taking the mentors and apprentices to the river to teach the youngsters how to fish properly." Tundra mewed wistfully, "I wish I could go to fish at the river myself to hunt." The solid gray tom soothed, "Perhaps next time, Tundra." The Siberian tom nodded and mewed briskly, nodding toward Oakshadow and Dustflower, who were waiting for him as well, "Then let's go." Nodding, the cats headed out toward the Pine Grove.

Unbeknownst to the cats, a pair of beady eyes watched from the air. A black-feathered bird pinpointed the location of the hunting patrol as the four cats disappeared into the thick foliage of the forest. Letting out a caw, the sleek bird banked to the right and disappeared into the thickest part of the Pine Grove. The cats below had only heard its call from below.

It isn't time yet, it had warned to its kind, when we become stronger.

"Who are you?" a young she-cat blocked the way of Swiftsky and Emberblaze's patrol. "I'm Spark!" their vibrant fur fluffed up playfully, reminding Swiftsky with a note of sadness how he had been finding warriors for CloudClan just a few moons ago like this. "Who are you?" they continued. "I'm Skysta-" the tom paused, his gaze flickering away with embarrassment. "He's Swiftsky, and I'm Emberblaze." with a note of confusion Swiftsky - or Skystar as he had been known - was just about to growl at his warrior when he remembered now Emberblaze was his boss. All Swiftsky could do was sit there making a fool of himself as he recalled past events. "I'm looking for CosmoClan! This cat who was called Foggy or Misty or whatever said for me to find them!" Spark announced, practically jumping up and down. "You saw Misty?" Swiftsky blurted out. "Yeah! Are you CosmoClan?" she said, changing the subject as she sniffed excitedly. "CloudClan-" "CosmoClan is where we come from." Skystar - well Swiftsky - was just about to growl but instead he feebly unsheathed his claws before sheathing them again. "Can I follow your patrol then?" Emberblaze nodded, "Sure. We are just going back to camp." the three cats made their way back to camp, each with different emotions. Skystar was struggling with hisworries about CloudClan, Emberblaze could feel his leader's sadness but tried to not turn it into an awkward conversation, while Spark bounced around, oblivious.

The Clan was beginning to become increasingly large in size with seemingly every season. Now more than ever, the Nursery was overflowing with Queens and kits.
“Now, just weave the feeds like this...”

FlickerClaw sighed at the young white Queen. “It’s important. There’s not enough room for all of your now, especially since you’ll be having kits all coming soon. I would prefer that you all are safe here...”

FlickerClaw hesitated as he walked past the leader. “Why? I could’ve done it. It’s early anyway.”
RowanStar winced. “I-I get that. I just thought you should take a break today.” RowanStar could tell his deputy had been getting more and more on edge.
FlickerClaw sighed. “Perhaps you’re right. Thank you, but I will take over my duties for night patrols.”
RowanStar nodded slowly. He supposed that would do for now.

“FlickerClaw...?”
The cats mew made the deputy’s pelt prickle. He whipped around, only letting his fur flatten when he could connect the voice with a face. “Oh, hello GustClaw.”
“Hello. Are you doing alright?” GustClaw sat down next to the large cat.
FlickerClaw started at him with a blank gaze. “Why are you asking? I’m fine. I’m taking a break, says RowanStar.”
GustClaw sat silently for a long while. “There are many negative miasmas here. You should watch out. It may hurt you more than you know.”
FlickerClaws expression twisted in confusion. “What the heck are you talking about?”
GustClaw stood up and shook his head. “Just that your aura is changing. Be careful.” With that, he flicked his tail and ran back towards the camp.
FlickerClaw shook his head. “What a weird cat. Another one of those rogues that just doesn’t belong in a Clan like this...” But that’s okay. They would learn their place soon.

Otterleaf grabbed the fish and Hollypool growled in annoyance, as they made their way over the rocks Otterleaf continued to grin and all Hollyleaf wanted was to smack him upside the face. As they were coming back they met up with the patrol group and Saltleap looked at Otterleaf with a questioning glance. Hollypool spoke quickly. "Don't ask, just his foolish self." Pinepaw grinned and Saltleap caught it before Hollypool could see.

Saltleap frowned wit frustration as she realized that Cricketstar was gone, she knew it was the end of this moon and she was off to the moonpool. She told her she shouldn't go alone though but Cricketstar was very difficult sometimes. It was late and she supposed she had to just wait. She couldn't scold her leader so she was going to have to get over it soon.

Now
Cricketstar sat by the moonpool silently but nothing happened, she frowned. This surely wasn't what she expected. Did she anger Starclan? She wasn't sure but as the sun started to rise Cricketstar couldn't wait any longer. Standing slowly Cricketstar made her way home. Walking through the trees quickly, her small body silent as she made her way. Though she stopped as she past a pond, she swore she saw a cat in the corner of her eye. Cricketstar started off again but a body collided with her own and they were a ball of fur rolling through the grass until they got to the edge of the pond. The cat laughed, he was much bigger then her and as she opened her eyes she growled, she knew who it was. Before she could react or say anything her body was under water, Spiderstar was drowning her. She knew it, he was going to keep drowning her until she lost all her lives.

Her lungs were filling with water as she tried to get out from his grip but it was no use, her vision became blurry and soon there was darkness. Cricketstar felt a moment of peace, a small light and calmness but that qucikly pulled away as she opened her eyes under water again, screaming loud under the water she lost conciseness as he lung filled with water for the second time.

Now for the third time she thought this would never end and she wished for her lives to be done now. Though she felt the paw move from the back of her neck and Cricketstar quickly pushed herself to the surface and on the grass. Gasping for air her vision was burry. A cat was on top of the Roseclan leader, the leader soon went limp and the cat turned to Cricketstar. He was going to kill her too, wasn't he? Though he washed his paws in the pond and looked at her. "Are you okay? I believe you are the one who asked Starclan for me?" Cricketstar scrambled to her feet as she looked at the motionless leaders body. "He was drowning you, I felt his life should of also have been taken." Cricketstar wasn't sure if she agreed with such logic but the Roseclan leader deserved it. "Let's get back to you clans camp, eh?" Cricketstar sat there silently and the stranger simply watched her before allowing her to speak. "T-thank you....your name?" The stranger smiled and nodded. "My name is Glassfoot." Cricketstar nodded but didn't say much else, and he didn't push, but he helped her up to continue home.

She lost two lives, she knew that's what he was up too and she just confirmed it. Her clan wasn't big or strong enough for a war but Roseclan was definitely an enemy.

Once home the clan was very quite except for the chatter of a few warriors who were awake. Saltleap was among Crowmouth and Dragoncry who were talking over a small meal. Saltleap stood as the two arrived. "What happened?" Saltleap ran to Cricketstar's other side. "I was attacked but Glasscatcher here saved me." Cricketstar gave a weak smile and Saltleap frowned. "Who were you attacked by? Crowmouth go wake Tallstorm." The black and white she-cat nodded and quickly ran towards the medicine cats den. Tallstorm was quick to help them take Cricketstar back to her own den to be tended too. Glasscatcher sat down and Saltleap watched him, unsure of the cat. "What did the cat look like?" Glasscatcher licked his lips a bit and then looked towards the den that Cricketstar went to. "He was a big silverish tabby, icy blue eyes." Saltleap growled with rage, and shook her head. She was about to storm out and go straight to Roseclan territory but Glasscatcher stopped her. "That won't do you any good, I know what is running through your mind and that won't solve anything."

Saltleap wanted to tackle him for telling her what to do like that but sided against it. She sat down staring at the newcomer who smiled sadly. "These are horrible circumstances to meet my new clan. My name is Glasscatcher."

Dipperdust wakes up and talks to Patchpelt about their new home. He keeps mostly quiet, apparently deep in thought. He then goes on a hunting patrol.

"This place looks different to the mountains." Olive mused, her gaze frightened as she could smell scents of cats, similar to the tribe's scent. It was much warmer here, with more signs of vegetation shrivelling. The bushes rustled as she walked past, causing her to hiss loudly. "Too many bushes here. Back in the mountains it was rare to see trees and the air was fresher." the bushes next to her was where cat scents were becoming stronger. She paused, eyes wide."Who goes there?" a she-cat entirely identical to one of the Haze-hunters strode out, followed by two warriors, one dappled and one had fur like a ginger bush. "A visitor has come to our territory." the first one commented. "Leave her alone, I think she is scared." the more graceful one purred softly, her brown eyes kind. The ginger one bounced around like a crazy hare, yelling. "Who are you?!" she asked, her words loud but her tone curious and excited. "Calm down." the first one ordered. "Is this better?" the ginger one lowered her noise levels and stared more. "That's enough. What have you come here for?" their leader asked, eyes searching Olive's wavering gaze. "I'm Olive and uh... I left from the mountains to come here." it was a lie, but not a big one. "You know the tribe with an identical cat like me - Leostorm or Dew or whatever he goes as now, Sun? - did you see him?" the leader let go of her seriousness for a moment, giving way to curiosity. "Sun? Oh ye-" Olive was stopped by the increasingly excited leader. "What does he think? He may be the most annoying sibling ever, but I miss him!" she purred fondly. "where is he?" the serious one of the two siblings regained her calm, but her eyes were as bright as Solarspark's on a really good day. "Tribe of Shimmering Dawn. Prey-Hunter. I think he said something about you once or twice..." the leader nodded. "I think you can come with us." she thankfully did not question why she had left.

Amberpaw looked up. The Sun was falling from it's high perch in the sky, and the first evening stars were glistening. The sky was bright, but her mind was clouded. "Smallpaw?" she asked softly, eyes glistening with all she had ever wanted to say and tears. "Hazelpaw? Mintpaw? Can you hear me?" she asked to five stars clustered. "Goldenheart? Meadowfern? Where are you?" her voice grew choked in tears. "I love you all! But where are you?" she repeated in a muffled voice, her amber eyes wide as the moon rose. Though the stars were gathering her heart was alone.

like a heavy mist, the atmosphere around the rag-tag group of cats hung with a foreboding tension. no-one dared utter a single syllable, merely listening to the crunch of rocks and pebbles beneath the broken pads of their paws, which were toughened from the many miles of walking.
xx.the towering peaks of the mountains were just an vague outline in the darkened sky, the familiar grooves and crags nestled in their former territory felt distant, not just by the space between the broken-up clan but the loss that replaced their strong connection with the clan. the roots that once binded them together had been torn out, destroyed. the fire of last moon had devoured cats whole, the flames lapping at their territory, burning each fern, root and tree to a crisp.

xx.Nothing remained. Except the eleven.

xx.Admittedly, a few others have survived, but they all chose the easier path. Fleeing to nearby clans, they were now just as dead as the others to the group. Except, for them, they did not look for them in the stars, they did not long for them to return. They didn't mourn nor grieve for the fact that they would never see them again.

xx.well, all but frostpaw, who dearly missed her family. the living ones and the dead. Puddlepaw and Owlpaw, her adoptive siblings, had fled to another clan. Without her. though it ran a bitter taste on her tongue, she made a half-hearted attempt to see through it and just remember them for the kind siblings they were. the ones who pushed her away at the start, who shunned her.

xx.though, the further the apprentice thought of her adoptive siblings the darker her mind delved, each memory bringing a muted growl to bubble in her throat, one that willed her to let out a snarl. it willed her to reveal her chaotic emotions, to suddenly whirl around and lash out at the cats that surrounded her. and she wanted to. she wanted to lunge, to turn rogue on the clan mates around her.

xx.frostpaw abruptly came to a halt, ears swivelling back as her eyes revealed fear. how could she think like that? her chin jutted downwards, green eyes glazed with terror. what was she thinking, attacking the clanmates who already went through so much. she couldn't.

xx.a hostile hiss erupted from behind her, sending frostpaw to whirl around with surprise. "what's wrong with you, dumb runt? we need to keep moving, we can't have you and your fat legs slowing us down!" snarled pebblenose, her fur prickling. frostpaw anxiously took a step back, though pebblenose had already taken two, and seemed ready to just about pounce at the apprentice. "i'm sorry, i'm sorry! i shouldn't have stopped!" frostpaw squeaked back, reeling back as pebblenose snarled once more.
xx."pebblenose, that's quite enough." a deep voice rumbled. frostpaw turned around to see it was the menacing tom, shadewing. "i'm not in the mood to skin someone's pelt at this moment." he snapped, green eyes flicking between her and frostpaw.
xx.pebblenose glared back, blue eyes narrowed into slits. "you're not jaggedstar, shadewing. or, do you want us all to call you shadestar now?" she hissed, tail lashing through the air.

xx.by the time she snapped back her response, the entire group had stopped their mindless walking and stared with gaping mouths at the dispute that was steadily rising. murmurs of protest or agreement to what the oriental had retorted rippled through the grip, though all focused their eyes back on the tall tom, who revealed only a pale glint of mild annoyance at what she had said.
xx."i did not see this act of leadership when we were to be consumed by the smoke, I don't recall you showing this behaviour when we were all on our final legs." shadewing replied curtly, green eyes focused intently on pebblenose, who looked slightly flustered—though masked it with annoyance. "just as you said, we were on our final legs, how would you expect me to suddenly step up?!" she asked, her voice toxic. "like me?" he asked, his eyes inoccent yet his eyes hard. "like how I stepped up and took charge even when I too was struggling? You couldn't do that?"

xx.Pebblenose opened her maw to reply, though shut it and looked down.

xx.Frostpaw suddenly spoke up, stepping to be closer to Shadewing, then flicking her tail to point him as she spoke "See, that what separates a cat that can lead and a true leader. One can tell people other things and boss them around, but a leader can keep a group in order even in the midst of true havoc."

xx.A wave of agreement swept through the group, and even Pebblenose gave a faint mew of her own agreement, though her voice was still hard, tinged with a minor shame from snapping.

xx.Shadewing merely stared at the group, his piercing gaze sweping through the group as he listened to the cats simultaneously agree to the same thing. They needed a leader, and it seemed as though he was being accepted as it. His tail suddenly lashed through the air in single to silence the group, before moving to leap up atop a large rock. "Attention, everyone." The muscular brute's voice filled the air, his tone commanding yet not too firm. "We have been through a lot in this past moon, we have experienced hardships, losses that have caused us great grief.." He paused, letting his eyes shift through every cat. "But we are still here. Together. The way Duskclan united us brings a great sense of pride to my soul, though those days are long gone. Duskclan has fallen, though we havent. And though we are sullen, we are strong. And with this, I propose that we build a clan like no other, with new roots to connect us. It will be named Sullenclan, and I will lead it." He looked upon the cat's infont of them, waiting for their reactions. "Do you agree to this proposition?"

xx.The group was still for a moment, until one voice cried out—Frostpaw. "I agree, though I wish no longer to be Frostpaw of Duskclan. I will be Frostedpaw of Sullenclan!"

xx.A wave of murmurs rippled through the crowd, though suddenly another voice spoke out. "I too wish no longer to bare the name that carries Duskclan, I will be Verglascry of Sullenclan." weather;; the season of summer. during greenleaf, you will catch a max of 6 pieces of prey. during patrols, you are more likely to run into twolegs and their dogs, and rogue groups will most likely start to try and settle on your territory so keep an eye out. you are still likely to get floods, but there will be more droughts towards the middle of greenleaf. your clan will still receive new cats but not as much as you would in newleaf.

"Hey!" Flameskip called to the group. "Instead of being chatty little birds, go out and get the clan something to eat!" He demanded.
Rosepaw was about to trott away with the group, but Flameskip pulled back Splatterpaw and her. "Splatterpaw, you go on with Blazestar's border patrol." He ordered the small calico tom. The deputy turned to her. "You'll have Vanillapaw on our patrol and you both will be hunting and fishing together. Blazestar said we cannot have arguements and resentment towards each other in the clan." He said, eye her down.
'Maybe I don't hate her, but I don't want to be near her...' She thought, almost sneering as she saw the she-cat coming over. "Behave!" Flameskip called back to the two as the patrol set off.

ain shot through her. it felt as though she had a massive headache and it hadn't left for the last
five sundowns.
"i'm done. come back tomorrow. don't rough-house with adderkit, or shadowkit, or any of them,
for that matter." acciapaw murmured, looking in the distance as though there was something very
important there. splitkit glanced at him, squinting her eyes and flexing her claws.
"whatever you say," she muttered, feeling somewhat shy as she gazed at his gray-face and striking
blue eyes. they sent her far away; in a world of their own. she wondered if she would ever come ba
ck, when suddenly and abruptly acciapaw sharply turned his head, and padded away without another
word. does he know something i don't?

"how dare she show her face here, after abandoning poor shadowkit and pumpkin
kit, without even naming them? i practically raised her kits for her!" diamond murmured back, step
ping in front of the two black kits protectively.
"what do you mean? are you not our momma?" shadowkit squeaked, suddenly no longer the biggest,
strongest kit in the nursery.
"i will always be your mother." the siamese she-cat whispered back fiercely, licking shadowkit then
pumpkinkit.
"if you have come for your kits, they are not permitted to leave the clan." it was frecklestar's turn
to assert her dominance. "they belong to drizzleclan, not a hare-brained queen who leaves their
newborn's for another queen to care for."
"oh, i do not care for my kits. only their claim to the throne- your throne that is. it seems their
father- yes, the one you murdered, foxheart- was your predecesor. and seeing how you changed
the rules into a monarchy, i would say that i'm the rightful heir to the throne until they are of age.
you do see that, don't you dearest frecklestar?"
