the Sluggum to greet you is incredibly enthusiastic, not giving you a moment as it
grabs your hand and drags you over to its booth counter beaming.
"there's so much you can see from up top, and i've done all the mechanical work myself,
so rest assured that it's safe. how do you feel about sketching a few of the sights you can see from up top?"

Caroline wastes no time in shoving a blank canvas into your hands, then gesturing to a table with art supplies of every kind. You have a feeling they probably aren't supposed to be using their booth set-up for this, and you can't see any box that has any sort of payment indication, so this is... probably free? They begin to chatter though, so you pay attention to what they actually want from you.
"From the top, you can see the entire carnival! All the booths, all the other workers, and everyone who visits - the drama, the tears, the joy! And this here is my memory wall - I keep every painting everyone does, you know, and I show them off each time we set up in a new town! My memory is terrible, so this serves as the best way of remembering all the good times.

That said, most people don't read small bits of writing, so it has to be art. Whenever you visit, I'll ask you about a few of the rumours I've heard going about for the day, and I want you to go up there and draw me what you see! Can you do that for me?"

all forms of art are welcomed, from digital to traditional to photobashing.
at the start of each round, Carol will give you a vague prompt. you are free to interpret it how you wish. each round will be open for 48 hours, and then close for 24 hours, for a total of 7 openings over the span of the event.
the point of this game is to draw other peoples sluggums (or alternatively the NPCs, if you prefer) - not your own!

rules!
→ all main page rules apply, as do the rules on the front page of the event. please make sure to read everything before finishing these rules!
→ this booth will only allow artwork as an entry. the minimum requirement is a clean headshot sketch - the prizes rewarded will increase based on effort put into the artwork.
→ the booth will be open for 48 hours, and then close for 24 hours for judging. please do not post after the closing time even if a closing notice has not been posted.
→ editing your form is fine so long as it is before the closing time. please make sure your form is filled out correctly to avoid it being voided!
→ all art posted needs to be uploaded to a permanent host, aka not discord. imgbb is a great place to host! toyhou.se can also host permanent images.
→ all artwork must be original - no premade bases, no picrew/meiker etc, and absolutely no ai. you may not ask other artists to draw prompts for you.
→ if there are any questions or problems, you can PM me here on CS or @ me in the official discord.
→ if you do not feel comfortable drawing other peoples sluggums, there are a list of NPCs here that you can choose to draw from!

this booth will award tickets that can be spent in the event shop. it is not rng based.
all entries will earn a minimum of five tickets, and increase to a maximum possibility of 15 for the top pick of the opening. responses will be judged primarily by myself with the occasional help of other staff members!
though there is no guarantee, a sluggum may sometimes be rewarded instead of tickets!

The Ringmaster is the eccentric personality in charge of keeping this entire place held together - everyone would be lost without him! he's incredibly mischevious, and in Carol's humble opinion, you'll definitely hear him before you see him!

Maricela (she/her)
Maricela is an unconfident, shy, and generally mild-mannered, small sluggum who took a job at the food tent as a front desk worker/waitress. However, she got wrapped up in being a sous chef for Chef Becker after many other workers quit. She is helpful and patient, and genuinely likes Chef Becker’s food, plus has an interest in his unique flavor combinations. She greets other sluggums who enter the tent and serves food. She tends to cry a lot, but stays helpful. (She helps gather ingredients for sluggums who step up to help her/the chef.)
Carol really thinks she needs a friend. Why don't you go say hi?

Becker - he/him (referred to as Chef Becker)
A renowned patisserie/baker who got tired of creating traditional foods and therefore joined the carnival to make more interesting foods. However, after some time at the carnival, he got tired of normal carnival food. He is obsessed with creating unique flavor combinations and interesting carnival foods. He can be quite messy (he throws foods around if not pleased with them) and can be quite demanding. He refers to normal carnival food as boring.
Carol thinks you should totally go and chat to him, but the're going to stay very far away over here and watch as you do that!

no, he doesn't have twins running other booths. it's all him. how did he move between booths so fast..? well, Carol thinks he might have an underground tunnel network, but they get shouted at whenever they try to investigate. maybe if you can stand all his scowling you can figure out why he keeps taking jobs he clearly hates?
