Take Your Flickerling Exploring!

Once per day, you may take up to 2 Flickerlings adventuring into one area to explore and gather.
*Note: Even if results have not been posted yet, you are allowed to post another exploration if the day has rolled over*

Some items take a higher level Flickerling or special tools to gather, so be careful to read the level requirements.

If your Flickering is level 3 and has the right tools, you may also choose to send it to catch butterflies, go mining, or go fishing for the day on top of your daily exploration/gathering trip as long as you stay in the same location.

If you currently do not have a Flickerling, you are more than welcome to venture into any area by yourself and gather some items by hand. Unfortunately you probably won’t be able to find as much without a Flickering helping you look but I’m sure you’ll still be able to find an item or two!

Helpful tip: some items and creatures can only be found at certain times of the day. All time is based off of cs time and explorations will count the original posted date, even if edited, on what time frame you and your Flickering went adventuring in.

Nighttime: 12pm-11:59pm

Some items require the use of tools to be able to collect them.

The current tools the tinkerer has designed are:

Account-Bound tools:
Woven Basket: Requires a level 2+ Flickerling to use
Holds 10 items (increases inventory for basket-gatherable items by 10)
Jar: Requires a level 2+ Flickerling to use
Holds 1 item/single use (turns into whatever item you use it to collect)

Assignable tools:
Butterfly Net: Requires a level 2+ Flickerling to use
Assign this item to a Flickering to send them butterfly catching
(does not break, but cannot be re-assigned)
Fishing Rod: Requires a level 3 Flickerling to use
Assign this item to a Flickering to send them fishing
(does not break, but cannot be re-assigned)
Pickaxe: Requires a level 3 Flickerling to use
Assign this item to a Flickering to send them mining
(does not break, but cannot be re-assigned)

Leveling Up
To level up your Flickerling, simply take it on adventures!

Level 1: This is the starting level for Flickerlings
At this level, they can explore and gather the basic items (sticks, grass, clay, pebbles, bark)

Level 2: Requires the Flickerling to have completed 7 adventures
At this level, they can use basic gathering tools (Baskets, Jars, Butterfly nets)

Level 3: Requires the Flickerling to have completed 14 adventures
At this level, they can use fishing rods or pickaxes to go fishing and mining

Flickerlings with fishing rods can catch fish in the River!

Bait
We've heard folk mention how the fish in this river love berries... it seems the rarer the berry the better the fish bite - maybe try putting one on your hook!

Crafting
"If you want to try making anything I've invented, check out my notes over there on the counter," they say, motioning to a little worn notebook scrawled with drawn designs and instructions.

• Weave 3 sticks together, 2 chunks of grass for the fillin’… yes a wonderful basket!

• Mold 2 clay together, top it with 1 bark strip and you got a simple jar when it dries

• I think if I weave 3 cattails together and stick it onto 2 sticks with 1 sap, it’ll make a usable butterfly net

• Hmm...3 cattails together, tie them onto 2 sticks with 1 acorn, you'll get a usable fishing rod

• I think if I tie 3 sticks together and melt 2 pebbles onto 1 bark strip, I'll have a usable pickaxe
