Beware the Nightmare on Cozie Street!

Feel free to check out the cauldron, answer some questions, enter a raffle, or just go Trick or Treating; it's up to you! Just stay in the light and travel in pairs, and you should be perfectly safe.. probably.. maybe.. uh anyways.

Make sure to read all our rules before trying to participate! I'd hate to have to fill out any more Missing Cozies reports.. so much paperwork..

✸ All Cozie rules apply as normal.

✸ Nightmare on Cozie Street will run from November 5th, 2025 (rollover) to November 15th, 2025 (rollover).

✸ You will be given the week following the event (5 extra days) for any additional purchases to the shops (Purchases end on the 20th rollover).

✸ Every post must contain your username and ID. We will not make you fill that out on every booth, so please fill out the template below at the beginning of each post. If your post does not include this information, it will unfortunately be void.

✸ You may edit all forms before rollover (unless stated otherwise). If found editing past rollover, your form will be void. However you may not reserve a post just to paste-in forms later. This makes rolling results harder on staff. Post it all at once, or you will be skipped.

✸ You may use your "mark" as an event archive!

✸ If you do not own a Cozie, Batty (She/Her), the event NPC can be used in place of a Cozie! This is called "renting". You will not retain any ownership over the NPC; you are simply using them as a placeholder since you do not own a cozie yet.

✸ There is no pressure to participate in every aspect of the event!

Uhm hi.. so uh what exactly are you doing out here so late..?
You do know cozies have been going missing around here, right? Well, I guess if I can't get you to go home, you could at least help us out a bit. Just answer some questions and keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

Stay safe out there! Look both ways before crossing the street, never invoke any names, lock your doors, and don't talk to strangers hanging out in the middle of dark roads.

This is the LAST prompt! We hope you enjoyed this event ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )

It's been a long week of non-stop searching. You have interviewed locals, searched for clues, and followed every trail left for you. At the end, all you have to show for your effort is a messy note, crumbled candy wrappers, and sore paws. Maybe you weren't meant to be a detective after all.. It's a lot tougher than you expected. Getting up with a long sigh, you step over to what you believe to be Foggy's house to let him know the last lead didn't pan out, but when you go to knock on the door, it's already open. "Foggy?-" You call out into the empty house. "-You home? Your door was open!" You step further into the house to call out again, maybe she didn't hear the first time, when suddenly the door behind you slams shut with a wall-rattling thud followed by a small click. Surprisingly, the click brings on more dread than the slamming door, because that means- "locked.." You breathe out shakily. "..I've been locked in." Turning to survey the room, you finally notice how.. empty.. the house is. Well, might as well search for Foggy; she might be able to let us out.
You've been wandering for what feels like hours before you spot- "FOGGY! There you are! I've been looking for you for EVER, what's with your freaky house?" Foggy looks startled and confused, staring at you with wide eyes. "My house? This thing isn't my house. I've been stuck in here for weeks! And who the hell are you?!?" ..what? If this is Foggy, and Foggy says he's been trapped in this place for weeks, then... "Who have I been talking to this entire time?" You say quietly, almost afraid whatever has Foggy's face will pop up out of the dark and answer. It's quiet for a long while before you both decide silently to start moving; either we find out where the missing Cozies are, or... we find what happened to them.

How strange.. that wasn't there before. Picking it up, you see it actually has writing on it. The writing is rushed, almost frantic, but you can just make out what it says.

A lone cauldron stands bubbling in the center of a room that looks eerily like a laboratory from spooky tales of the past, wooden shelving adorning the walls and various bottles filled with “ingredients” that you can only hope to be leftovers from the bargain bin after Halloween and not the real thing. Something catches your eye in the darkness, a gleam of light reflecting off a sharp surface, and you shiver in fear as an ebony-furred Cozie seemingly detaches itself from the shadows. They pad mindlessly forward only to stop by the central object and hop onto the side, dipping their muzzle into the mixture as if taking a drink despite their lack of mouth. Their head raises a moment later, their fill of whatever brew they couldn’t taste satiated, and your eyes widened when their dead gaze roots you to the spot. You flinch when an unbearable voice finally meets your ears.

“Ah, my latest minion,” an empty, cackling laugh fills the space, “splendid!” The Cozie returns to all fours, rounding the cauldron with the same droning steps before sitting down in front of you. You muffle a gasp at the chest of teeth staring back at you, a cold chill rolling down your spine when they part to speak and reveal a strange, striped tongue. “The eyes are up here,” it jokes with a devilish grin. “Come in! Come in! I’ve been waiting.” The Cozie titters in anticipation as you approach the bubbling cauldron with shaky steps, the grin on their chest-mouth widening to the point that it must hurt. “Now, just give it a stir.” You hesitate, no object present to agitate whatever concoction they were brewing. Their voice booms in commanding encouragement when you pause, echoing around the otherwise silent room, “Go on now, it won’t bite you. Yet…”

You step out into the street and notice a line of houses, all lit up with different colors and covered in spooky decorations. One of the houses draws your eye immediately; it's quieter and darker than the others, with two cozies sitting ominously on the front porch.
As you step closer, both cozies eye you with suspicion. They seem to converse quietly before looking back over and pausing with a dawning horror. Eyes wide, they motion for you to move quicker. As you step into a slight jog, the streetlight above you flickers out.
When you finally make it up to them, they seem a little nervous, looking at you with wide eyes and fur fluffed up.

"Hey stranger, uhm so what are you doing out here? Alone?"
"Well, clearly something stupid, as usual."
"VERMIN! Don't listen to him, I'm sure you're perfectly normal and have a perfectly normal reason for being out here."
