There are many tales of creatures creeping about the Atlas Station that have been spun over the years. Any repurposed abandoned structure has to hold some history, after all. But most are just stories, right?

Well, maybe not all of them.



You stumble upon a big fright in small form when you turn a corner, met with wide eyes and a stiff posture. Staring directly at you, something seems to have spooked a stray cat in your path. But even as you beckon to it, trying to assure the feline that you are harmless, it keeps looking over your shoulder. You look back for a moment, but see nothing. What could have frightened the little cat this much?

This is Gryphians' first color-in contest! Use the pixel lines above, get creative, and you might just make a new friend.
A few things to keep in mind:

Deadline: November 14, at rollover.

✦ You may either color the base or use a description in writing! Writing follows the same Gryphians UMA requirements to be your own work, and not plagiarized in any way. Feel free to share hex codes along with your description if you are trying for a specific theme! For color-ins, they must be your work, colored by you, and include no AI or copywright material.

✦ One entry per person!

✦ Minor edits are allowed to the base. You can choose to post a WIP here or in the Gryphians Discord for staff to verify edits if you are unsure. Some examples of minor edits are: adding edits to the ghost's form, editing the cat's tail/ears/paws, adding small accessories etc. The base should still be recognizable.

✦ Entry is not a guarantee to win a colored-in Gryphian, however, we will do our best to choose as many as possible! Please also be patient for fulfillment, as we are a small team and do our best but also have other commitments.

✦ You may edit your post before the deadline to fix links, change your idea, or amend typos. However, no edited posts will be accepted after the deadline.

This kitty is fluffy little creature. She has Tabby markings and her fur is a mix of dark grey and black stripes. Bean has four white paws that look like little mittens. Bean has pronounced ear tufts with fuzzy hair coming out of her ears. She has light grey eyes and long white whiskers that frame her face. Bean is wearing a tiny red collar with a bow on it, she looks adorable.

Any notes?: My entry is a bit incomplete because ibispaint crshed constantly and consistently whenever I tried to start this. My final vision would have had a white spot around the left eye and the ghost was meant to be more gloopy looking. And honestly I didn't have a whole picture in my head for the cat beyond white spotted orange tabby.
