GENETICS GUIDE

Foraging utilizes a bannochi's natural scenting skills to locate rare plants in the wild. Bannochi enthusiasts have located several wild areas with suitable growing locations for these plants, which have been turned into special reserves just for bannochi foraging trials.

Bannochi earn titles and medals through foraging competitions, and you get to keep any items they find.

On rare occasions, your bannochi may also locate wild bannochi!

❧ RULES


• Bannochi must be registered in order to participate
  
• Foraging is open from tuesday to saturday each week, unless otherwise stated
  
• You may enter up to 5 bannochi per round.
  
• You may only enter your own bannochi.
  
• Each bannochi can only visit one location per round, meaning they may only be entered ONCE per round.
• Please don't alter or "pretty up" the form.
• Make sure to enter your bannochi in a location they qualify for!

❧ HOW IT WORKS

Bannochi earn foraging points based on the rarity of items they forage multiplied by the difficulty level of the area.


Common items are worth +1fp
Uncommon items are worth +2fp
Rare items are worth +3fp
Legendary items are worth +5fp

Bannochi have enough time to find up to 3 items per trial! (ie. they get 3 rolls per trial) It's possible a very unlucky bannochi may come back empty handed.

❧ TITLES


Titles are a suffix that appears at the end of a bannochi's registered name.
• Novice: all bannochi begin as an untitled novice
• Junior Forager (JF): requires 15fp
• Senior Forager (SF): requires 50fp & 2 successful forages in a level 2 area
• Master Forager (MF): requires 100fp & 5 successful forages in a level 3 area
• Champion Forager (ChF): requires 200fp & 10 successful forages in a level 4 area

Field points are cumulative. Your bannochi doesn't restart at zero once it earns a title.

Apart from a suffix and a fancy badge, earning titles also adds a breeding boon to your bannochi!


❧ BEHIND THE SCENES

Foraging success is determined by RNG, but some items can apply buffs to a roll!

Each area has a different loot sheet. The more difficult an area, the more chances you have to find rarer items but you're also more likely to find nothing.

Sporty bannochi get four rolls and drop the lowest roll.
Showy bannochi get four rolls, and drop the highest roll.

Lineage Buffs


All bannochi with at least one Master Forager parent will get +5 added to their foraging rolls.
All bannochi with at least one Champion Forager parent will get an additional foraging roll, giving them a chance to find up to 4 items per trial!

A farmer's field left to grow wild, complete with some old fencing and farm equipment. This land is quite tame and cultivated, making it a perfect location for novice bannochi to stretch their sniffing skills without expecting too many hazards.
