The Equid Championships ~ TEC

Come one, come all! To the Equid Championships we shall prevail! TEC has been designed to bring some competitive nature to equids, with the ultimate goal of the competition being to claim the ultimate prize!

How does it work?

TEC works in multiple rounds of competition, where users go head to head to battle to complete the round. The battles are chosen completely by rng. Each round winner will claim a prize, as detailed in the prize pool, before being randomly matched with their next round partner. Each competition will go until completed, with another competition following immediately on, So keep your eye out for a competition youd like to enter!

How do I enter?

We are currently completing the October round - please wait for NOVEMBER!

TEC ~ Point System

TEC has its own point system aimed at rewarding those who participate and make our wonderful Championships so exciting with such amazing art. Points are calculated by Oddly and kept up to date! These are the simple rules!

Earning Points

Participate
Enter into a series!
Gain +1pt

Win a Round
Labelled above in the prize pool, you can see what rounds will earn you points! Normally, all rounds where you cannot win an equid of some sort will win you points!
Gain +2pts

Non-Completion of a Round
By not completing your entry on time, you will be disqualified this also results in losing a point.
Lose -1pt

Using Points

Regular Breeding = 15pts
Artist Choice Custom = 20pts
Event Breeding = 25pts
Regular Semi-Custom = 30pts
Regular Full Custom = 35pts
Event Custom = 40pts

FAQ

Do i need to calculate my own points to use them?

- Yes! We will cross reference with out point system to ensure it is accurate.

Ive got enough points to place an order! How do I do that?

- Currently unavailable - however, we will soon have a post specifically for TEC orders! This will be linked here.

I competed in the August series and October Series. How do I know what points I earnt?

- Both of the first series gained points up to round 2. Meaning the maximum you could earn for each of these series is 5pts. +1 for participating, +2pts for round 1 and +2pts for round 2.

Can I order any type of Event custom/breeding with my points?

- No, you can only order what is currently inseason. For example, Winter Event during Winter (1st November to 31st December).

About the Compeititon:
Dive into the winter wonderland that is the holiday season! The staff want to see ingenuity and creativity used to design outstanding art of one of your opponents equid. We encourage competitiors to think outside the box, outside the lines and outside of the realm of art! Creativity improves your chances of beating your opponent! Think depth of colour, use of linework, think background, placement - is the equid in center stage, or would off center be a more dramatic look. A piece with presence, drama or flair may beat a simpler piece. Use this as an opportunity to research, develop your skills and try something you may not have tried before! Remember, as long as it fits the theme: nothing is off limits.

RULES

1. Each round winner is chosen by a number of the staff team, and is not chosen by a single user (ie. myself). This aides in the fairness of compeititon!

2. Each round will have a dedicated time frame clearly displayed at the beginning of the round to complete their art. If you do not complete your entry, you forfiet and your opponent advances to the next level of competition. Yes a direct end time will be given at the commencement of each round.

3. RNG will choose who you are paired with, the 'list' will be posted in the discord for full disclosure. number 1 will be paired with number 2 on the list, so on so forth.

4. If there is an odd number of users, the last person on the list will be given a by-week, where they are automatically moved to the next round.

5. If given a by-week - you cannot claim the prize from the prize pool - this includes points.

6. You must draw one of your opponents equids (Linked)!

7. EQUIDLESS USERS ARE WELCOME TO ENTER, you may choose your favourite staff equid to link stating you are equidless.

8. Artworks must be your own. Collaborative work is not permitted in anyway. Reuse of art in additional rounds will result in disqualification.
