The A Locus interacts with the E locus to determine how much eumelanin and pheomelanin will appear in the dog's pelt.

Sable (Ay) is the top dominant in the agouti series, so a dog only needs one sable allele to express it.
There are at least three types of pattern that can be caused by this gene, but it's not certain what causes each one to appear. It's probable that sable is simply affected by (as yet unidentified) modifiers, and in some cases more shading may also be displayed when the sable is a carrier of the tan point (at) allele.
The three common patterns are: clear sable, tipped sable and shaded sable.

Clear sables are completely red and nearly indistinguishable from recessive red dogs when theres no other eumelanin present.
Tipped Sables are red dogs with black hairs typically on the back, head, ears and tail. This often looks like darker red or black shading on these spots.
Shaded Sables are red dogs with both brown and black hairs typically covering the top of the head, ears, and back. The pattern is similar to creeping tan patterning. They are very similar to agouti dogs but with a distinctive widow's peak marking.

"Agouti is one of the oldest and most widespread mammal colour genes. It can be found on rodents, deer, wild rabbits, and it's also the main colour phase of the wolf. The main reason it's so common is the camouflage it provides."

The range of markings on a tan pointed dog are very restricted. Red (tan) appears as pips above the eyes, on the sides of the muzzle extending to the cheeks, as pips on the cheeks, on the front of the neck just below the head, as two triangular patches on the front of the chest, on the lower legs and feet (and inside of the legs), and as a patch underneath the tail (and sometimes along the bottom edge of the tail too). The main colour is solid black (or any other eumelanin colour - liver, isabella or blue - depending on the other genes involved).
Sometimes black marks are present on the toes. This is called "pencilling".

While in irl dogs Saddle/Creeping Points doesn't have its own gene and is instead a a gene known as RALY that is a modifier of the Point gene (at), for the sake of ease of sense It's gonna be its own gene set.
Creeping Points and Saddle are very similar set of patternings, distinguished by how receded the black pigment on their coat is. They both are born as Points and the black pigment draws back towards the spine as they age. Saddle is more receded than creeping Points.

The B Locus controls the colour the dog's eumelanin/black pigment, whereas the D Locus controls whether that Black colouring is diluted or not.
Each Colouring can come in a short range of shades.
The colourings Cocoˇ/Lilacˇ are previously only seen in French Bulldogs but have been discovered in Nordiske Tryghunder as well.

The C & I Loci control the phalomemlanin/red pigments.
The C Locus controls the level of saturation and the I Locus controls the intensity of the colour.
Any colour of phalomelanin/red pigment can be paired with any varriation of eumelanin/black pigment reguardless of the eumelanin/black pigment's dilution/lack thereof.

"E" stands for "extension", and the E series is responsible for almost all non-agouti (A series) related eumelanin/phaeomelanin patterning in dogs. E helps to determine which areas of the coat can (and do) produce eumelanin (black/blue/liver/isabella) and which can (and do) produce phaeomelanin (red).
