Gekkon Breeding Rules & Information
A single Gekkon may breed an infinite number of times, but the cooldown between breeding for each individual is one week. Third generation Gekkons cannot breed.
You can breed your own Gekkons together, or plan a breeding with another user. Gekkons of the same litter can be bred (and will sometimes result in new patterns!), but offspring cannot breed with their parents.
Breedings will produce between 1-4 offspring. Breedings between two users will always produce either 2 or 4 offspring for fairness. You are not allowed to trade/gift a Gekkon to another user for the sole purpose of gaining more results from breeding. Doing so will result in the Gekkon (and Gekklings, if the breeding went through before discovery) being removed from your possession.
In the case of breeding between two users' Gekkons, on person should submit the form and the other should reply with confirmation.
All breedings will result in Gekklings. These will not grow up on their own--an uncommon item (Juicy Grub) found in foraging can be used to age them up. Gekklings will always have one of two lines, but when they are grown up they will have a variety of lines, depending on the parents. You won't know what lines they'll inherit until you age them up, though!
Currently, there are no specific artists that handle breeding. Your request will be handed by whatever artist is available and willing. If both Gekkons are designed by one artist, we will try to have this artist complete the breeding, but it is not a guarantee!

Rarity and Outcomes--how do they work?
There are four rarities of Gekkons. These are Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Very Rare (custom-exclusive). You're allowed to breed any rarity Gekkon with any other rarity. Normally, offspring will either inherit the lines of their parents or "fail" into common lines, but sometimes mixed lines could be produced, or they can "mutate" into entirely new, rarer lines!
Additionally, all Gekkons are based on either the Standard or Wingless lines. This is simple to discern--if the Gekkon has wings, it's Standard. If not, it's Wingless. Breeding two Wingless-based Gekkons together, regardless of their rarities, will always result in a Wingless-based outcome.
In general, Gekklings will usually inherit a mix of their parents' colors and patterns, but will sometimes come out with an entirely new pattern.
Following is a guide to possible line outcomes. These might change later.LINE OUTCOME TABLES
