❧ ❧ ❧ Welcome to the Wayward Willow, a strange, quiet valley in the lower reaches of Avalon. Fairy circles mark the hidden entrances to the willow, and a handful of cats bathe in the sun, or sit underneath the shade of a violet willow’s hanging fronds. At night they congregate under the flicker of fireflies and firelight, telling stories and making music, led in their merrymaking by the paw of the valley’s caretaker, a cat clad in gold and jewels who calls this place their home. These are the Wayward Strangers, seeking to find their place in life; friends, perhaps a family, a home, and a Calling to call their own.

❧ ❧ ❧ At the Wayward, you may befriend these catshee, help to give them a Calling and begin to find their way. You may lead a catshee who has lost their Calling to the Wayward to find themselves. Or you may leave an offering, hoping a fairy of a particular fancy will be drawn to you.

❧ Adopting from the Wayward ☙
Anyone may adopt from the Wayward as long as they have available catshee slots. However, you may only adopt 1 Stranger per Turn. (This will only go into effect once Turns have begun counting. Until then, you may only adopt 1 Stranger per 7 days.)

❧ Surrendering to the Wayward ☙
You may surrender as many cats as you like to the Wayward, and you may surrender unwanted Beans from Nests (though these should be posted on the Distributing a Nest form on the Changelog). Once you have posted the form, they will be rehomed. You can choose in the form to have a small competition type (such as FCFS, raffles, or simple comps such as naming or question prompts). You may not adopt catshee that you have previously surrendered to the Wayward, and they cannot be traded or gifted back to you, even by other users, for 90 days.

Wayward posts should be entirely plaintext, or at most have a single size change (no size below 85) or list.

❧ Searchable IDs ☙
Please make sure that all of the IDs (user/cat/parent/offspring are searchable (ie. correctly formatted, plaintext)

- User IDs are the string of numbers attached to your profile URL. Ex: My ID is 344558.
- Cat IDs should be an unbroken string of letters/numbers as a "Group Tag-Individual Tag" set.

❧ Personal Archiving. ☙
You must have an up-to-date post in the Personal Archives to participate in the catshee adoptables, communities, and games. Please make sure to keep your personal archives up-to-date as all possible to prevent your forms being skipped.

❧ Selling/Trading Catshee ☙
Catshee should be owned for 30 days before before being rehomed, unless being surrendered to the Wayward. Once you have sold, traded, or gifted a catshee, it may not be returned to you in any fashion for at least 90 days.

❧ Ownership Limits ☙
Ownership Limits. Currently, a user may own up to 5 catshee. This limit will increase (or be removed) in the future, but for now we want everyone to get a chance, in the event that there are a lot of entries for catshee adoptions. In addition, keep in mind that catshee may only nest (breed) 2 times, 4 with items and full adventuring levels.

The Strangers at the Wayward gather to find their Callings. When there are cats here, you may help them adopt a Calling so they will join you. Sometimes Strangers will choose the person they want to follow; other times whoever impresses them will be their chosen. Regardless, they will eventually find their way, and hopefully one day return to adventure.

When a catshee has become dissatisfied with their Calling, they may make a pilgrimage to the Wayward. You may lead one of your own here, and let them find their own way.

You may leave as many catshee at the Wayward as you like. However, once they have been left, you have no control over the path they take in life going forward. In addition, they will leave behind all of the charms they are holding, and lose the progress of their current Calling, and lose any badges they have obtained. They may assume a different name or identity. They will retain only their family history and the amount of nesting slots they had beforehand (even additional amounts of nests if they were given items or fully leveled). Leaving a catshee at the Wayward is entirely permanent—you may not convince a catshee you leave at the Wayward to follow you again.

You may invite catshee at the Wayward to join you or your bands by leaving Offerings. Rarer catshee are elusive, and require more valuable Offerings to tempt them to join you. These Offerings are how you obtain custom-made catshee, designed for you by our artists on staff!

❧ Ownership Rules ☙
Customs (any cat with a "C" ID) do NOT count against your total ownership limit. Customs may be sold/traded for any currency, as long as it is equivalent or less than to their total worth (plus the value of any included art). Any IRL currency sales/trades should be taken offsite. Customs still must go through the normal 30 day ownership transfer cooldown, and if a custom is given, sold, or traded away, it may not be returned to you for any reason for at least 90 days.

❧ MYOs ☙
As a semi-open species, you are always free to create your own catshee off base. These can be used in your personal lore, as character relationships, or just to have fun with, but these unofficial catshee may not participate in any community games or events. If you would like to commission an artist to make that cat official, though, you are free (and encouraged!) to do so.

❧ Ordering a Custom ☙
When placing an Offering, please be patient with the artists to pick up and work on your custom, especially if it is particularly complex. You may request an artist, but depending on availability, any artist able to do customs can pick it up. Artists may PM you for additional information if it's necessary. When your custom is ready, you will be PMed on CS with the image and toyhou.se profile. If your custom commission is ordered on Discord, you'll be given this info on that platform. The toyhou.se profile can be used as your proof of ownership!

❧ IP-Based Customs ☙
Customs may be made based off of pre-existing popular media IPs, however customs that closely resemble those IPs cannot be sold for IRL currency for any reasons. You are not allowed to request catshee based off other people's personal characters and stories.
