❧ TᖇᗩIT ᖇᗩᖇITIES & IᑎᕼEᖇITᗩᑎᑕE ☙

Catshee can pass down their traits when nesting.
They cannot pass down specific Touchstones (but
can have an influence on a bean's Touchstone), and
have two different "types" of traits that pass down
in different ways. Traits pass down more
frequently if both parents have the same trait,
as the inheritance will be rolled twice.

❧ ᴅᴇꜰɪɴɪᴛᴇ ᴛʀᴀɪᴛꜱ ☙

All definite traits effect the fur length and the
colors of a catshee. Typically, when nesting
catshee, non-base traits are rolled for and if
the roll fails, the trait reverts to its base form.
With definite traits, however the failed roll will
not default to the base trait but instead to the
lowest-rarity trait between the parents.

For example, if a catshee with Long Fur (C) and
a catshee with Silky Fur (UC) nest together,
and the Silky Fur trait fails the roll to be passed
to a bean, the bean will automatically have
the Long Fur trait instead.

All other traits are prospective, which means
when catshee are nested together, failing the
chance to pass down a trait will revert
the trait to its base form.

For example, if a catshee with a Lion Tuft (UC)
and a catshee with a Chest & Underbelly Tuft (C)
nest together, and both traits fail the roll to
be passed to a bean, the bean will have
the base Chest Tuft trait instead.

While Touchstones are considered traits, they are not passed down through nesting and can only potentially influence a bean's Touchstone. Still, they have different rarities depending on how often those Touchstones are seen, and how difficult they are to obtain while Adventuring.
