✦ ARTIST SEARCH ✦

You may decide to focus on a specific area, but in general, artists are expected to help in litter creation, customs, breeding and events. You can apply to be an item artist, making extra items, or even just masks to put on Masques!
When accepted, you will first be a guest artist. After 1 month this will be reviewed and you can become a full artist if you wish!

Guests:

✷ You may create boutique Masques and receive the payment.
✷ Create full or participate in litters.
✷ Help create event assets, including Masques.
✷ Create Masks.


Full:

✷ Create customs, and fulfill breeding with your own post in the customs/breeding thread!
✷ Create boutique Masques and receive the payment.
✷ Create full or participate in litters.
✷ Create items for events or the shop.
✷ Help create event assets, including Masques.
✷ Create Masks.

✦ REWARDS ✦

As well as the below, all staff members receive a unique custom using a staff-only base, with a custom mask! This is 1 per user. Please note that if you go inactive, rewards will be paused.

Gold rewards for item/mask creation are only valid if the item is for public sale/events.

Guests:

✷ 1 Silver Mask (custom) token per month. You may create your own customs with your own tokens.
✷ 150g per month active.
✷ 50g per Masque created for litters.
✷ 30g per item created.
✷ 20g per Mask item created.
✷ 30g per Mask created.
✷ Any payments for boutique Masques.

Full:

✷ 1 Gold Mask (custom) token per month. You may create your own customs with your own tokens.
✷ 300g per month active.
✷ 50g per Masque created for litters.
✷ 30g per item created.
✷ 20g per Mask item created.
✷ 30g per Mask created.
✷ Any payments for custom/breeding completed.
✷ Any payments for boutique Masques.

✷ You must have a co-op post!

✷ Adhere to all CS rules.

✷ Do not use the lines provided for anything but applying.

✷ Check out the art & design rules of Masques.

✷ Do not beg for a role, do no harass staff or any users who are selected.

✷ You will be contacted via PM by an official staff member if you are chosen.

✷ Do not remove the “app” from the lines. You may move it if you need to.

✷ Your creations are not official; they are for application purposes only. If you are accepted you may be able to submit them for official IDs.

✷ You may do line edits or even create a new mask.

✷ Please submit at least 2 examples. You must do 1 standard tier. For this trial, you may not do a special tier.

Like an artist, you may prefer to focus on one area (such as forums or discord) but all mods are expected to help make sure users are following rules, keep track of strikes and bans, and help run events!

Due to the nature of modding, there isn’t an option to be a guest, but you will go through a 1 month trial period. After this it’ll be reviewed and you can decide if you wish to become a full mod!

Why do you want to join us?: i think masques are so unique!! i love the pixel work for them and even though i don't have the time to take on being an artist, i'd love to still help out in other ways!

Any experience with modding?: Yes! I have extensive experience as an online moderator and as a conflict/peer mediator in real life as well. I currently run my own closed species, as well as being an artist in various other species. I am someone who is levelheaded, diplomatic, and mature in my decision making. I assume best intentions, and always consider that things like tone or humor are not easily conveyed over text. I am able to listen to both sides of the story, consider context, species rules, and other staff opinions in making decisions. I am committed to making places I mod on CS a safe, welcoming environment for communities to enjoy, share, and celebrate art together.
Why do you want to join us?: I would love to join Masques as a mod because the creativity and imagination behind this species attracted me immediately. There's nothing on site like them, or anything else I've seen before! I enjoy giving back to the communities I am involved with, and tend to be very selective in the staff jobs I apply for as I am a busy adult who is conscious of being spread too thin. I grew up playing video games and I have a particular fondness for pixel art. I might try my hand at an artist entry!

work in progress - posting this mostly so that i can remember to return to it, hope that's alright
Any other binary/pixel art examples: i've been doing pixel art since 2012, started on this site with running my own pixel cat UMA for around a year. i've been an artist for multiple UMAs, although i was much more active in 2012-2015-ish range and i'm a little rusty as to how things are run but i'm sure i can learn without ruffling any feathers.
i also specifically really like designing offspring based off of existing designs and would love to work with breedings if permitted.
most recent pixel pieces on my art-shop, if requested in can provide a link to my offsite galleries for more examples in a private message as well.
