Cam's friend
Augustus had invited him over to help him with a "business venture." Upon going over, Cam realized quickly that Augustus had not thought any piece through. He had various supplies everywhere and papers with plans laid everywhere. A whiteboard had writing all over it, some of which Cam recognized as math equations.
"August, what
exactly are we going to be selling?" Cam cautiously walked over, stepping over glue, dish soap, and other household products.
"CAM! Cam Cam Cam! I've got it!! Sit down and trust me," Augustus ushered Cam to a chair and quickly put a towel around his shoulders.
"August what is going on?" Cam began to turn his head when Augustus grabbed it and turned it back to be looking away.
"Relax! And see what I've made!" Cam could hear Augustus behind him shuffling around and a jar opening. Cam felt incredibly nervous. Suddenly, he felt something cold on his head.
"What is that?" Cam shivered as the cold made his whole body chill.
"It is my new hair gel formula I've come up with! It will keep your hair exactly how it is all day with no imperfections," Augustus continues to slather the mixture over Cam's hair. Cam could feel it seeping through and touching his scalp. After a little while of silence, Augustus stepped back and admired his work.
"Well Cam, what do you think?" Augustus handed Cam the stickiest mirror he's ever held. Cam looked at himself and saw that he looked drenched. He looked like he just stepped out of a pool. His hair was slick to his head and his braids kept sticking to his face and shoulders.
"August I look like a wet rat - does it stay this slick or is it going to look dry again at some point?" Cam investigated his hair and at one point reached up to touch it. The mixture stuck to his hand and when he pulled it away it made a string of goop. Cam trembled a little, knowing that this was not going to wash out easily. He glanced to the side and saw a pile of stuffed animals that all were slick with what Cam assumes is the same concoction Augustus has put on his head.
"Well I think that it'll stay a little shiny but over the course of the day become more natural. I might also wash a bit out, I think I used too much," Augustus walked over to the kitchen sink and began to run it to make sure it was warm. At this point, the mixture had dripped onto Cam and he was beginning to become sticky everywhere.
"August I think I should just go have a shower and wash this all out, it's getting all over me." Cam stood up and tried to take the towel off his shoulders, but it was stuck to his braids. He sighed and left it on his shoulders.
"I am going to head home and shower, I'll let you know how it goes." Cam turned quickly to leave, knowing that staying at this point means getting roped into more shenanigans. Once home, Cam attempted to wash out the mixture. He thinks he got most out and off his body, but he still finds bits of hardened "hair gel" in his hair occasionally.
