Welcome one and all to the Cottonwood Competition Arena! There are many events to enter in, all tailored to specific strengths of your horse! Have a look around and sign up for events at the sign up board! Enter into events to earn amazing prizes and level up stats! View the prize pool under each event to see what you can win!

Rules:

• All CS rules apply!
• All RCW rules apply, see this post for RCW rules
• Users are allowed to enter 3 horses, unless otherwise noted, per Event. (Horses cannot enter multiple events at one time.)
• Art entries must be at least flat colored
• Writing entries must be at least 100 words, max of 1000 words
• RCWs only at this time! (Want another species to compete? Ask the owner to PM me!)

Guide

If you’re wondering where on earth to start, you’ve come to the right place! If you’re new please go check out the Roseto Capo Warmblood main page! If you have and RCW but are new to competitions, this post will help guide you on how to enter and compete!

Helpful Info
- After each event all participating horses will earn Stat Points which can be traded in on the main page to upgrade your horses’ skills! Writing entries will earn points based on word count and quality. Art entries will earn a base amount with add ones if applicable. (Skills are Strength, Stamina, Rhythm, and Expression)
- Be sure to read event descriptions before you enter. Some descriptions will have information about the course you may need for your entry form.
- Users can donate pets, items, C$, or Breeding Slots if you would like to see those as prizes! Artists can donate Import Tickets if they choose (Current Import Ticket Rarity Cap: Rare)
- 100 Stat Points = 1 skill point upgrade
- If you do not have a horse, or do not have a horse with stats to your liking for an event you wish to enter, head over to the stables and pick out a horse there! Note that all Stat Points go to the horse used, and picking from my horses DOES NOT guarantee you will win.

Entering Events:
Entering Events is very simple! Fist head over to the Event Listings page to see what Events are currently running! Make sure you read the Even descriptions to see what the event is about and what stats will be best in that event. Once you’ve read the description pick the horse you want to use, either out of your owned RCWs or out of mine in the stables if you wish.

Once you have your horse and event picked prance on over to the Sign-Up Board to register your horse! You will see a prompt on this page that you will need to fill out along with the registration form. Prompts will be the same for all running events! Fill out the form and the prompt completely and accurately. Please reach out if you need help or have questions! I want this to be a fun and safe space!

Once you complete your form, go ahead and post it then wait for you and hour horses’ names to appear on the entry list under the event description! If I miss your form(s) please PM me as sometimes I accidentally skip over them! Make sure to have fun with it! I don’t want this to be overly competitive and everyone will get something out of it, so please be kind to others! Feel free to let people know if you like their prompt answers! Communication is encouraged here!

Choosing from the Stable:
If you are wanting to choose from the Stables all you need to do is fill out the form and send it to me in a PM! I will note it down and let you know that you can fill out the form! Once one of my horses is being used it cannot be used by another user until the round ends, just like any other horse. My horses are on a first come first serve basis, so the first one to ask gets to use the horse.

Event Listings

There are a total of three events open at one time, these are called Competition Rounds. Each round will last for approximately 1-2 weeks before it will end and prizes will be given to each horse and rider. See the Competition Results page for results of past rounds!

Round 02
This Round Ends: April 15th at CS Role-over

Event 1
Horseback Bowling
Stats used: Rhythm
Event Description:
Riders try to knock down pins by riding their horse towards them and launching a ball (or similar object) from horseback.
Prize pool
Writing: 100 stat points, +1 additional point for every word above 100 (max 300), + 20 if described the technique used whether silly or not.
Art: 300 stat points, +50 points for shading, +50 points for background, +20 points if includes a silly ball (such as a beach ball)

Carriage Pulling Contest
Stats Used: Strength and Rhythm
Event Description
Teams of horses pull a carriage through a timed or judged course, focusing on precision and the horse's obedience. You must enter 2 or more horses for this event. Max of 5 horses per team)
Prize Pool:
Writing: 100 stat points, +1 additional point for every word above 100 (up to 300), + 100 points if you talk about how the horses interact as a team.
Art: 300 stat points, +50 points for shading, +50 points for background, +100 points for every horse over 2 (up to 3 extra horses)

Event 3
Trail Challenge
Stats Used: Stamina and Rhythm
Event Description
Riders navigate a natural or simulated trail with obstacles like water crossings, bridges, logs, and steep inclines to test their horse’s versatility and the rider's control.
Prize Pool:
Writing: 100 stat points, +1 additional point for every word above 100 (up to 300), + 100 if you describe coming across an obstacle your horse has trouble with.
Art: 300 stat points, +50 points for shading, +50 points for background, +100 points if you include and obstacle in your drawing.

Please note that you should fill out 1 form per horse entered! There are different options for prompts to use so please add the number of the prompt you are using in the designated spot on the form!
