[CSKC] Breed Registration & Accepted Breed Catalog

Postby thelabradorr » Mon Mar 03, 2025 7:44 am

CSKC Accepted Breeds Catalog

All breeds accepted to participate in CSKC events can be found in the following document:

🐾 CSKC Created Breed Registration System

Since CSKC allows user-created breeds, we need a registration process to ensure that new breeds are well-documented, balanced, and ready for participation in CSKC shows, breeding programs, and competitions.

📌 General Rules for Created Breeds

1️⃣ Created breeds must be submitted for official registration before being recognized in CSKC.
2️⃣ Breeds must have a detailed breed standard covering appearance and temperament
3️⃣ A created breed must be realistic in structure and genetics—no extreme or fantasy elements (e.g., wings, glowing fur).
4️⃣ Coat colors and genetics must be defined to ensure proper health testing and breeding outcomes.
5️⃣ Breed-specific health concerns should be established to determine which Body Scores & Genetic Tests apply.
6️⃣ If a breed is "Open," "Restricted," or "Closed" for creation by others, this must be specified.
7️⃣ Once approved, the breed is added to the CSKC Created Breeds Registry and can be used in shows, breeding, and sports.

[CSKC] Championship & Grand Championship System

Postby thelabradorr » Mon Mar 03, 2025 8:23 am

🏆 CSKC Championship & Grand Championship System
The CS Kennel Club (CSKC) recognizes outstanding dogs through structured Championship and Grand Championship titles. These titles reward dogs for excellence in Conformation, Working, and Sporting Events, ensuring recognition for quality breeding, performance, and dedication.

📌 General Rules for Championship & Grand Championship

1️⃣ Dogs must earn points in CSKC-sanctioned events to qualify for Championship & Grand Championship.
2️⃣ Points accumulate through Conformation, Working, or Sporting events based on placement.
3️⃣ Dogs may earn a Conformation Championship (CH) or a Performance-Based Championship (WCH for Working, SCH for Sporting, etc.).
4️⃣ Once a Championship title is earned, the dog may compete for a Grand Championship (GCH).
5️⃣ Titles must be recorded in a dog’s profile to maintain accurate records.

🎖 Championship Title System (CH)

A dog must earn 15 Championship Points to earn the title of CSKC Champion (CH).

🏆 Conformation Championship (CH) Requirements:

- At least 3 Major Wins (a Major Win is a 3+ point show win).
- Must earn points under at least 2 different judges.
- Points must be earned at CSKC-sanctioned shows.
Image

📌 Major Wins Defined:

- A Major Win is any show placement worth 3+ points.
- Dogs need 3 Major Wins under 2+ different judges to qualify for CH status.

🎉 Example: A dog could earn its CH Title by:
- Winning Best in Show (5 points) once
- Placing Group 2 (3 points) twice
- Winning Best of Breed (3 points) once

Once 15 Points are met, the dog earns CSKC Champion (CH) status.

🏆 Grand Championship System (GCH)

Once a dog has achieved CH (Champion) status, it can compete for a Grand Championship (GCH).

🎖 Grand Champion Requirements (GCH):

- Must have a CH title (15 Points).
- Must earn 25 additional points in GCH-level competition.
- Must have 5 Major Wins at GCH-level.

Image

🎯 Dogs that reach 25+ GCH Points earn the title of Grand Champion (GCH).

🎉 Example: A dog could earn GCH Title by:
- Winning Best in Show (6 points) once
- Placing Group 1 (5 points) twice
- Winning Best of Breed (4 points) twice
Total: 26 points (with 5 major wins) → GCH Title Achieved!

🐶 Performance-Based Championships (WCH, SCH, etc.)

Not all dogs compete in conformation! Working and Sporting disciplines have their own championship system.

🏆 Working & Sporting Championship Requirements (WCH, SCH)

Dogs may earn Working Champion (WCH) or Sporting Champion (SCH) titles by earning qualifying scores in CSKC-sanctioned working or sporting events.

📌 Requirements for Performance Champions:
- 15 Performance Points required for WCH or SCH Titles.
- At least 3 Major Wins required (4+ point events).
- Must earn points in at least 3 different trials/events.

Image

🎯 Once a dog earns 15 points, it is awarded its Working or Sporting Championship Title (WCH/SCH).

🏆 Grand Working & Sporting Championship (GWCH, GSCH)

- Requires 25 additional performance points after WCH/SCH is achieved.
- Must include 5 major wins (4+ point placements).

Postby thelabradorr » Mon Mar 03, 2025 8:28 am

🏆 CSKC Dog Experience & Ranking System

The CS Kennel Club (CSKC) Experience System rewards dogs for their consistent performance and participation in conformation, working, sporting events, and anything CSKC related, allowing them to achieve higher rank certifications based on total XP earned throughout their career.

📌 How the Experience System Works

- Dogs earn XP through CSKC-sanctioned events and participation (Conformation, Working, Sporting, Titles, Writing, etc).
- XP accumulates over the dog’s lifetime and is never lost.
- XP ranks are separate from Championships and reward consistency in competition.
- Dogs must apply for Rank Certifications when they reach a milestone.
- Highest achievable rank is CSKC Legend (2000 XP).
- Ranks are recorded in the users CSKC Co-Op Archive.
