This is an official hub where all event items info, guides, and descriptions are stored! These items are not available through StarClan's shop, and are instead earned only through events, event shops, explore, and other Stars mechanics. "Event-exclusive" items refers to items only found via events or Stars mechanics.

Jan 25th, 2026: Explore cat claim tickets have been added as a new event-exclusive item! This coincides with the release of a new set of Clan culture prompts in our prompts mechanic.

May 10, 2025: Revives had a slight price rebalance in StarClan's shop & immortalities are now event / explore-exclusive!

Feb 1, 2025: Event hub official release!! The StarClan lines have also been updated and we've released an unnatural marking / edit guide! We've clarified some wording for our event items and sales tickets as well.

Dec 29, 2024: Catvent 2024 gift shop opened!

Nov 21, 2024: Carrrl's Carrotopia event shop released! We've implemented account-locking on our unnatural edit and marking items. More details about this can be found in the Carrotopia shop FAQ itself or in our event item FAQ below.

Any events below this point are from before the StarClan shop overhaul! Item values may differ.
Dec 27, 2023: Catcafe catvent 2023 event shop released!

Aug 14, 2022: Camp Charcuterie event shop opened! With this event, new event items were released for the first time! These include: unnatural edit item, unnatural marking item, white spotting redesign and retired NPC pass.

Sept 27, 2021: During our staff month raffle, we had our first sales tickets release (info)! These include: 20% off ticket, BOGO ticket, auto restock ticket and +1 edit ticket.

June 18, 2021: Our star's greetings item was released alongside our explore revamp! It was implemented with the addition of death opt-ins (alongside other mechanics) to explore!

Q: What does account-locked mean?
A: Account-locked items cannot be traded/gifted between users! They are bound to the account that purchased them. When an account-locked item is applied to a cat (new or pre-existing), the cat becomes account-locked for a year from the date the edit is approved. This means that the cat cannot be traded/gifted for a full year.

Q: Does account-locking apply to my items purchased before the account-lock implementation?
A: Items purchased from events prior to the account-locking update are not account-locked! Only items stated to be account-locked and purchased with this knowledge are affected by this restriction. We first released account-locked items in Carrrl's Carrotopia event shop!

★ General rules:
» Sales tickets can be traded to other users!
» Each ticket can be applied to one item purchase! For example, you'd need three 20% off tickets to discount three items!
» Tickets cannot be stacked! Only one ticket can be applied for each item purchase max.
» Tickets can be used once before being removed from your bank.

★ Note: The original release of the sales ticket information is here! As of Feb 1st, 2025, we've clarified the wording and updated it to match with current Stars mechanics (such as the retirement of MYO shop purchases with C$)!






20% off ticket
» Grants a 20% discount on certain items from Starclan's Shop!

» 0.80 x [original item price in stardust] = new item price in stardust
» 20% off tickets cannot be used for items that may yield a mythical level edit. This includes: supernovas, mythical MYOs / edits, and myth autopass items. Litter size items are excluded!








BOGO ticket
» Buy One, Get One! Buy an item and get another of the same item free on certain items from Starclan's Shop!

» BOGO tickets cannot be used for items that may yield a mythical level edit. This includes: supernovas, mythical MYOs / edits, and myth autopass items. Litter size items are excluded!







Auto restock ticket
» This ticket automatically restocks one item of your choice (excluding mythical level items and star's praises) if it is out of stock at Starclan's Shop!

» Auto restock tickets cannot be used on items that may yield a mythical level edit. This includes: supernovas, mythical MYOs / edits, and myth autopass items.
» Auto restock tickets cannot be used to buy star's praise (guaranteed 4 kitten litter) items.







+1 edit ticket
» Adds one extra edit to UC and R MYOs or "duplicates" a common, uncommon or rare edit item! Examples: using a +1 ticket allows you to put two rare edits on a R MYO (normally one rare edit & unlimited UC/C/NR); using a +1 ticket and an uncommon edit to edit a pre-existing cat allows you to put two uncommon edits on that kitty!

» +1 edit tickets can be used on an item already in your bank. You do not need to use this ticket at the time of purchase.
» +1 edit tickets can be used on customs (when an artist open slots).
» +1 edit tickets cannot be used for any autopass items or items that may yield a mythical level edit. This includes: C/UC/R/M autopasses, supernovas, mythical MYOs and/or mythical edits.

Star's Greetings
» An explore and event-exclusive item! Using this item gives your kitty a spooky line edit 👻. When applied, this allows your cat to be any degree of transparent (and transparency may vary across the ref) and glow any color to give a ghost-like effect. Starry background and sparkles are encouraged, but not required. (Examples)
» This is just a line edit! Your kitty is not dead* and can still be used in all Stars mechanics if you apply this item.
⤷ * Death only happens in explore (you have to be opted-in)! If your kitty is dead, a writer will let you know + post on their page!
» Note: This item was updated on Feb 1st, 2025 to be more flexible with its guidelines! See the official announcement here! Any cats with this edit (prior to the update) can also be edited once without another item; make sure to submit your cat for re-approval, though!

Unnatural Event Marking
» A user may add one typically illegal unnatural marking (e.g. hearts, snakes, stars, etc.) to their cat's coat.
» At the moment, it cannot be used on pre-existing cats (unless used alongside a white spotting revamp item) as coats cannot be edited! You're welcome to apply it to newly-created customs / MYOs though!

Unnatural Edit Item
» A user may add one typically illegal element (e.g. horns, halos, wings, etc.) to their cat's official Stars reference.
» Retired and disallowed mythical traits are not covered by using this item.
» This item cannot be used in place of an edit (e.g. changing the tail to add a tail mouth may also require fur and tail length edits to be applied).
» Any cat (whether pre-existing or new) this item is used on must go through the approval process.
» Unnatural edit items will not pass in litters.
» An unnatural item guide can be found here!

White Spotting Redesign Item
» Users may redesign the white spotting of one of their cats.
⤷ Please make a 'color in' of the reference rather than editing the original ref directly. The guidelines for editing an existing cat apply.
» White spotting redesigns must still have the same genetic level (low, medium or high) of white as the original ref!
⤷ For example, if you're redesigning the white of a "low white" kitty, you can change the placement and add/remove white as long as the end result is genetically low white!
» Player must obtain permission from original artist to edit the design of their cat.
» Any cat this item is used on must go through the approval process again.

Retired Nursery NPC Pass
» You may use this pass in a nursery form to request a litter from a retired nursery NPC.
» This item cannot bypass the 2 litters per NPC cap.
» Disclaimer: Nursery NPCs may come in and out of the lineup through time, so there's no guarantee the NPC you used this item on will be retired forever. You will not get a refund if the NPC you chose is voted to return.

Immortality
» An explore and event-exclusive item! Applying this item to a cat ensures they cannot die* in explore; and are therefore immortal. When a writer rolls, the immortal cat will be excluded from the list of available patrollers for death rolls.
⤷ * Death only happens in explore (you have to be opted-in)! If your kitty is dead, a writer will let you know + post on their page!
» Important note: At least one cat in your patrol must be not immortal (only applies if you're opted-in for death)! This is to ensure fair gameplay.
» To apply this item, fill out a "used item form" in the archives! Make sure to also mark the cat down as "immortal" (with a link to your filled-out form) under the "cats on patrol" section of your explore code.

Explore Cat Claim Ticket
» Used to redeem an explore cat with a form on the archive. You'll list your top two choices, and will receive the first one that is available. Forms must be posted on the archives; please don't post on the cat's page itself!
» Cats are only eligible for claim via this item once they have been posted for at least 30 full days.
» Once claimed, proof of ownership will be posted on the cat's page, and the cat cannot be traded / gifted until after the 30 day cooldown is up.
