Located on the main land, far away from Pixel Island itself, is the Park. Designed to resemble the natural habitats of Squirrels, Squiks, Squittens, and Squinx, the Park is a safe way to allow your pets to reconnect with their roots and get some exercise! The only problem is, with the Park's delicately crafted ecosystem, comes some... unwanted visitors. Known simply as Strays, these pets have been brought to the main land, but lack homes of their own. They're drawn in by the familiarity of the Park, scaring visitors and becoming territorial.

Most pet owners end up calling animal control to rid the Park of these pests. But that's no life for an animal to live, locked up in the Pound awaiting adoption. There's no rule about taking a Stray home if you find one... Perhaps, you'll make a different choice and adopt it yourself?

[▸Atlas.]

1.) You must own at minimum one adoptable of any species to adventure in the Park.
2.) Two adopts may participate in an adventure, but it does not increase the chances of prizes being found.
3.) An updated Co-Op Archive post is required to participate in all aspects of the Park.
4.) The Park will be closed during all special events, raffles, and promotions.
5.) Forms that violate rules of either thread, or that are posted when the Park is closed, are invalid.
6.) Some Park locations have specific requirements that must be met to access them. Forms that do not
meet those requirements will be denied.
7.) All Park story responses are written as adventures are had, and no two are the same. For this reason
mass Park responses may be posted the days after the Park is open to allow for time to write them.
8.) All Park forms will get generic responses by default. You can opt in for story responses on your form
if you would like to know what your adoptable(s) did on their adventure.
9.) The Park will open once on a different day each week at CS rollover. The next Park opening will be
announced every Sunday evening.
10.) As always, be kind and respectful towards other adopters and PS staff alike.
11.) Only one Park visit is permitted per opening. Items can be used to go a second time, but must be
included on your Park form along with the post where you purchased it.
12.) Any previous Park visits linked on your form, such as for exclusive areas, must be from the current
thread and not prior versions of the Park.
13.) All Park visits will result in either one Stray, one item, or nothing. The usage of certain items can
increase your odds of getting specific prizes, or increase how many prizes you can obtain in one visit.
14.) More rules will be added as needed.

[▸Atlas.]

NPCs are characters that can be encountered while exploring the Park.
They may appear for dialogue and interaction purposes, to reward
the explorer with harder to obtain prizes, or as mini event mascots.
Occasionally NPCs may also have missions that can be completed.

Scout - they/them
Scout is a Stray Squirrel of dark brown coloring.
They can most often be found near the Community
Garden, or less commonly, the Forest. They are
known for being quiet and observing newcomers
before making any attempt at introductions.

Missions available
Scout is looking for Fresh Leaves to build a new
nest. Turn in 10 Fresh Leaves to be rewarded:

Chamomile - she/her
Chamomile is a Stray Squitten with white fur. She can
most often be found near the Rocky Outcrop, or less
commonly, the Field. Her elusive nature gives her a
phantomlike reputation, disappearing with little more
than a flash of her white tail.

Missions available
Chamomile is looking for Perfect Stones to decorate
her den. Turn in 10 Perfect Stones to be rewarded:

Warren - he/him
Warren is a Stray Squik with a mossy-and-brown
colored coat. He can most often be found near
the Enchanted Clearing, or less commonly, the
River. He is more sociable than most Strays,
however his fur makes him hard to spot.

Missions available
Warren is looking for Mushroom Clusters to eat.
Turn in 10 Mushroom Clusters to be rewarded:

Nightingale - xey/xem
Nightingale is a Stray Squinx with a blue dappled
coat. Xey can often be found in the Tunnels, or
less commonly, the Lake. Xey have an untrusting
personality, and are very wary of strangers.

Missions available
Nightingale is looking for Cattail Clippings to play
with. Turn in 10 Cattail Clippings to be rewarded:

To complete missions, you need to collect either Fresh Leaves, Mushroom Clusters, Perfect Stones, or Cattail Clippings through exploring the Park. Once you have collected enough to complete a mission, fill out the form to collect your prize.

Missions can only be completed once and by one person. They have no time limit and will remain posted until someone completes it.

A post in the archive is required to do missions.

The Field is an all-access area of the Park. Located at
the entrance of the Park, it is a wide expanse of grass and
wildflowers with a few sparse trees.

Here you can find:

The Forest is an all-access area of the Park. Located
just past the Field, it consists of towering oaks and pine trees.
Beneath the canopy are numerous walking paths.

The River is an all-access area of the Park. Located
near the edge of the Forest, its water is clear with depths
good for swimming, and other spots shallow enough to wade.

The Lake is an all-access area of the Park. Located at the
edge of the Park itself, it is a massive body of water surrounded
by trees. Half the beach is sand, and half is gravel and large rocks.

The Community Garden is opposite of the parking lot, away
from the Park itself. Pets aren't allowed, but a gap in the
fence means that a determined animal could definitely
squeeze its way in. At least, a small one probably could.

The Enchanted Clearing is a spot deep within the Park's
forest, where the trees part to reveal a beautiful clearing
of wildflowers and mushrooms. The forest undergrowth makes
it near impossible to get to, making it untouched by humans.

The Rocky Outcrop resides on the furthest side of the Lake.
Whereas the smaller rocks are used for sunning, a section of the
shore is deemed too unsafe to climb on. The rocks are slippery and
the drop to the ground is steep. Only the best climbers dare to go.

The Tunnels run underneath parts of the Park, offering
underground shelter for some Park Strays. But there is little
light, and most pets do not dare set foot in them; for fear of
getting lost in the labyrinth. Explore with caution.

[▸Atlas.]

The Park needs to be a safe and inviting environment for all of its patrons,
and the presence of Strays ruins it. They scare pet owners, and are a danger
to other animals. But have no fear! For a small fee of 500 Credits, you can
call Animal Control to sweep an area of the Park to look for Strays. They will
make a collective list of all those they spot so that others can keep an eye
out for them, and any they catch will be sent swiftly to the pound.

Animal Control can be used to reveal all available Strays in a location of
your choosing. Once revealed, the list will remain up and be updated as
Strays are claimed. However, there comes a chance that Animal Control
will catch any number of Strays -- from one, to all of them -- in that
location when they're called. Should that happen, they will be raffled off
on the thread for free. Locations are replenished the first of every month.

Rules:
1.) All thread rules apply.
2.) Animal Control costs 500 Credits per location.
3.) Strays will only remain visible until the first of the next month.
Whenever a location is restocked with Strays, the new batch of Strays
will be hidden until Animal Control is called on the location again.
4.) Animal Control does not give you all the Strays revealed, just
provide the purchaser as well as all other Park-goers a visual list of all
possible Strays that can be won from that location.
5.) Animal Control has a 25% chance of catching Strays rather than
reveal them. Should this happen, any Strays caught will be placed in a
free raffle on the Park Events post.
