The only exception is if you are reselling a shark you obtained with real-life currency (customs, recolours) and you may only sell it for as much as you payed (this does not apply to USD breedings). You may advertise that you are selling your sharks for real-currency if they fit this criteria - you may not, however, advertise that you are looking to buy sharks for real-life currency (USD should only be offered to artists!)
- All sharks have a default week long trading cooldown! You may not trade a shark until a week after you have obtained it - this includes giveaways, raffles, litterdrops but also any sharks obtained in trades.
- In addition to the previous rule - customs have a two week long trading cooldown! Please do not order a custom just as trade fodder - order a custom shark you would like for yourself. (If you obtained a custom through a trade, but did not order it yourself, the trading cooldown remains at 1 week).
- The trading cooldown does not apply to gifting or litterswaps - litterswaps only include newly released sharks (a giveaway for a new line or a litterdrop).
- If you have a shark based on an OC, or a shark with additional art, these cannot be traded independently. The shark is an extension of the OC these must be traded at the same time, to the same person.

A shark is required to participate in expeditions - a fun way to collect moonshards, items, even sharks, and be more active within this UMA. If you would like to participate but do not yet have a shark of your own, you may be interested in renting someone else's shark until that changes.
- You must be a non-owner to rent a shark. The rental ends as soon as you own your own shark.
- If you are renting a shark, you may not use them for anything other than expeditions - you are not their owner. This includes, but is not limited to, participating in events, trading, dressing up.
- A shark's expedition tracker resets to 0 when rented out, and goes back to normal when returned to their owner - this is to stop people from renting sharks to gain access to secret expedition locations that must be found (coming soon...).
- An owner has the right to request their shark back at any moment. If they are not returned prompty, they will be returned by us and you will receive a warning.
- You cannot charge real-life currency or C$ for someone to rent your shark.
