GD Easter Prompt Entry!
Entry:

This year we're going to my parent's house for some food, visiting, and an easter egg hunt for my son and niece.
My niece is a year and a half old and this will be her first easter egg hunt! The plan is everything above my son's waist is for him to find and anything close to the ground is for the baby. ^^ It should be fun!

I'll probably wear my handmade crocheted skirt for the first time and I'm super excited!
I just need to remember to buy a slip before Sunday because it's completely see-through. XD
I've had this thing hanging in my closet for 4 years, thinking I needed to learn how to sew in a liner to wear it.
Can you believe that I just thought of layering in a slip a couple months ago?!

Brains are silly.
Also, where do the years even go?

its pathetic, wishlight thinks to themself, running around the plaza looking for little eggs of all things. only fawns should play games

they look down at the basket they were handed, still empty. it looked sad. they rolled their eyes and looked around the plaza for a fawn to hand it to, but everyone already seemed to have one, even some of the adult does and stags. they sighed and stepped toward a shaded area beneath a tree.

as they approached, a little splash of pink peeked out from the roots of the tree. an egg! they huffed as they put it in their basket and plopped themself down on the cool dirt. they found their eyes drawn again and again to the almost empty basket between their forelegs. the little egg looked lonely...

if there was one egg already in there, they decided, they might as well give it another for company. so they began to search. covertly, at first, looking around from their seat beneath the tree. when they spotted one, they picked themself up from the ground to retrieve it. as they bent down to grab it, another egg caught their eye, and the chase was really on.

in the end, when all the baskets were submitted, they rested themself beneath the tree again to watch the rest of the festivities, content.
