"Lucas do we have to...?" Marcus said in a hushed voice, clearly
shaken by the massive building looking in a bit of rough shape. "Well
yeah...? We got all of these folks coming to join us already so it'd be
bad to just cancel it." He replied in a snarky tone. After saying that,
Lucas turned around. "Oh hey!! You're already here. Are you guys
ready to explore ..." He said turning to Marcus, signaling them to
say it at the same time. "The Greenwater Hotel!"

As the group waltzed into the lobby, each member of the group turned their heads curiously as to where they were going to explore and who they may talk to. The carpet was a deep maroon, patterned with a fancy floral design. The walls were a similar red, with gold accents and gold trim. This hotel for sure looked old and fancy! "Ooh! I've heard of this place before all over Instagooram and Yougoobe!!" Some goobies gossiped. Once they got to the center of the lobby, Lucas and Marcus turned to face the group, waiting for the group to become silent. "Hello everyone! If you came on our excursion last year, you will know us already... I'm Lucas and ghosts definitely aren't real! They're all made up!!" Lucas announced his opinion on the possibility of a spiritual form. His statement making Marcus' eyes roll, shaking his head in unison. "Yea yea whatever Luke, be a loser like that would 'ya! Anyways... I'm Marcus! Ghosts definitely are real and not made up! Remember Irene from the Rosewood Estate??" Marcus questioned. After doing some back and forth, the duo was ready to meet you!

After everyone had introduced themselves, it was time to go off into their first room, the laundry room! Exciting right? No? Well they've got to start somewhere right?




In the laundry room, Marcus asked the group what they were excited for! Had they been on the last exhibition? Did they or did they not believe in spirits and other unliving forms? Was there anything they particularly hoped to see or experience?

This was Alistaire's first time meeting both Lucas and Marcus; despite Lucas' assurances that ghosts weren't real, Alistaire certainly believed otherwise. Ever since he'd started working with San Lang and Dianxia, he'd lived in a forest full of spirits... up in his library at the tallest tower in the Divine Castle, Alistaire would often catch sight of apparitions floating just above the darkness of the trees below. Alistaire was at home among the spirits of Fenix Forest, and in this mysterious, haunted hotel, perhaps he'd find even more friendly spirits. Following the group into the laundry room, Alistaire began to search around for clues...

"I'm wondering if we'll find any evidence or traces of ghost in this hotel..." Alistaire mused aloud, silvery eyes scanning over the room curiously.

"I'm here because of my teacher, Ryou," Gakt answers as he pokes through a discarded pile of washing in hopes of finding something. "He said this group had found a ghost last year when he joined in so it would be my best chance at finding a ghost for myself. I've never seen one before so I'm excited to finally see one."

He doesn't seem to find anything in the laundry pile and moves on, looking around in every nook and cranny while other goobies stand around and chat. He's here for results, people! Not chit chat.

He gets occupied by the laundry machines. They don't seem to have any power when he presses basically every button on them and turns every knob. Gakt even had to check inside the machines. Just in case. Who knows where the ghosts could be hiding? He had been told to be prepared for anything.

The ghosts could be anywhere and Gakt was prepared to look anywhere for them. He was not the type of goobie to back down just because something was a little bit scary. He supposed that must've been what got Ryou liking him in the first place.

Though, he knows Ryou likes to drag that other orange goobie around with him a lot. Which doesn't make sense since that goobie was scared of his own shadow and not at all ghost hunting material. Gakt was maybe, perhaps a tiny bit jealous of that goobie since they got so much attention from Ryou, who was supposed to be teaching him and not that other goobie.

Ryou had sent Gakt here for some experience and because Ryou himself was too busy with booth running duties this year. Which meant he couldn't participate himself. But that was okay. Gakt would stand in for him and take so many notes it would be like he was here to begin with.

Gakt was also sure that he had been sent here as a test of his own ghost hunting skills. Ryou may not have intended it to be that way but that's how the pale goobie saw it. He was to be Ryou's new apprentice, after all! He needed to make a good impression and make his teacher proud.

It was clear how excited the ghost glad goobie was. He couldn't stop himself from literally poking at everything, hoping for some sort of ghostly reaction.

Not only that, but he had also borrowed various tools and such from his super amazing, awesome and super cool teacher. He took each carefully from his bag, took some readings and then notes down his results in the little ghost themed notebook he had brought with him.

He really wants to make Ryou proud with this. He wants to prove that he can be the best ghost hunter ever! Well, maybe he can settle for #2 as long as it means Ryou is always at the top.

Gakt really wants to make Ryou proud and so he is willing to do whatever it might take in order to find a real life ghost and capture evidence of it.

prompt answer ; Lily cheerfully waved at Lucas and Marcus, glad to see them again, and eager to explore the hotel and hopefully meet more ghosts! She really enjoyed the previous exhibition at the Rosewood Estate, it was a great experience in her opinion! She had always wanted to meet a ghost and she had finally been able to! And now, here was another chance for her to meet ghosts and Lily could not be more excited about it! She wondered what the ghosts here would be like; she hoped they would be friendly and that she would be able to make some new friends!
Following the two goobies into the lobby with the rest of the group, Lily looked around in curiosity and awe. The interior decor was beautiful in her opinion, the red walls with gold accents were awesome and she loved the floral patterns on the carpet. She could definitely imagine staying at this hotel, and to be honest, the idea of it being haunted felt like more of a pro than a con to her. Though somewhat curious why the guides decided to start the exploration in the laundry room, Lily wasn't one to question it, after all she was just happy to be here. Where exactly she met a ghost was not particularly important to her, as long as she met one she had no complaints!
Marcus's question about what the group was excited for earned a grin from Lily, and she replied enthusiastically, "I am excited to meet more ghosts!" She then began looking around the laundry room curiously, making sure not to disturb anything, but just walking around the room examining everything. Her excitement did not diminish in the slightest as she searched, despite laundry machinery not exactly being the most interesting thing to examine. Lily was not about to miss an opportunity to meet another ghost just because they might be in a less eye-catching room! Marcus and Lucas must have led them here to start off for a reason, right?

Still blushing, Rocky found himself in the group heading towards the haunted hotel. He could feel his anxiety rising as he approached the entrance. I've got a bad feeling about this... At the mention of the laundry room, though, Rocky brightened. Surely, no real shenanigans can be pulled in there... right?
As he wandered into the room, though, a rack of towels clattered onto the floor, spooking him and those behind him. The bad feeling returned swiftly. Maybe not...

"I... haven't been on an expedition like this before," Hirado started, "but I am very sure of the existence of spirits, lost souls of those who have been ungooed by unnatural means, be that the destruction by other goo-based lifeforms, or to be punished for daring to go against the gobs. I had always been told that the diab gobs were the ones to destroy the living forms of goos and turn them into nothing more but spirits trapped to the earth for the rest of their eternal spiritual existence...."

He looked around for a moment, getting a bit shy once he realized exactly what he had just said. "Ah, well- I know that's not true now, of course. The diabs don't seem that bad... but I do still believe that those who have been destroyed by gobs end up as spirits. I do not expect them to be harmful to us, or at least to me- I have no connections directly with any gob or gobbess, even if I was raised up and given life by the gobbess. Perhaps then, it's a mercy that I am not worthy enough to be given special treatment by our gobbess..." He shook his head. "Apologies... I... do need to remember I cannot talk like that anymore."

To distract himself from that embarrassing interaction, he pulled out a small notebook, jotting down some things and preparing to take more notes the more they explored. Even so, he couldn't help but continue talking just a bit longer. "Though... a hotel, they might be a bit more vengeful, since I don't exactly imagine a gob striking down an entire set of hotel visitors... so maybe they were destroyed by some other goo-devouring species... and ever since us goobies have accepted the goofs... oh goobness, no no- I can't think like that..."

She paused, putting a paw to her chin in thought before replying, "I am not sure if I have seen a ghost before or not. I suppose they could exist. There's nothing to say they couldn't. I just never thought about their existence or not before now. It's not something I ponder normally."
"As for what I am excited to see, I can't say I have any expectations. I am just excited to experience everything here!" She gave a warm smile to the group.
