Victory is an arrogant man, his talent went to his head along time ago. Not only is he a star here but he's one on his home world, and an old one at that. There his kind never die and he has countless equivalents to platinum albums, though when tragedy strikes he... Tends to run. His wife sadly passed in a tragic accident in a venue, leaving behind him and their young son Vector. He can't walk out on a stage anymore, can't pick up a guitar and can't stand in the spotlight without breaking down. He did teach his son everything he knows however, watching him blossom into a star just like he was. They never should have come to earth but, such is life and mistakes sadly happen.
Prompt:
Victory's first day on earth was SUPPOSED to be a happy one, instead it was tragic. The first day on the planet was the day his wife left him and their son, the earthlings being a whole new breed that they weren't prepared for. He'd read about the planet in books, he wasn't ignorant of any of the culture of the area that he was visiting but the fact that the cosmos cursed him and he lost everything leaves a sour taste in his mouth. It was a beautiful day, actually, warm and inviting despite the seemingly heavy air that left him feeling hunched. They had plans to explore the city and eat so much food they dropped before the show, and they did. Victory had never tried pizza before that day, none of them had, but it was delicious and something that stands out to him. It was all perfect, the sounds the smells, everything. He honestly loved the planet, fell for it right away. If he'd done more research he'd move there, bring everyone and settle instead of being nomads no matter how happy they were. Unfortunately he was forced to settle the night of the show, the death of his wife rattling him to his core as soon as he heard the stage begin to collapse. Why it did nobody knows, they still don't, but in his grief Victory stayed. He stayed in the place his wife could never leave and raised Vector on the planet like she would have. He did continue his music for a while but it was never the same without Starshine.
