Blossoming Field ducks her head low, sniffing curiously at a patch of
flowers.The Ancient she-cat was already running late to check in on
her descendants and their many broods they watch over, but she felt
stopping to sniff every once in a while wouldn't harm anything. She
sighed contentedly and continued on her way, her tail swishing happily
back and forth. To think that she had once been a normal she-cat like
the thousands of cats she guided and watched over. So much can
change in what feels like too little time.

Her ears perk up as the voices of the Clan cats grow louder with her
approach. Oh, how excited she was to visit them again! Blossoming
Field's tail shakes in excitement as she stands at the top of the ridge
that slopes down into the gathering place. The caliby moves to take
a step forward when she suddenly feels claws sinking into her back
and flank. Blossoming Field lets out a high-pitched screech,
scrambling for a grip on anything, as she is lifted off her paws and
into the air. The Ancient she-cat looks up towards her assailant and
cries out again, her heart beating faster as a dragon carries her
away from the Clan cats.

Upon hearing her cries, the Clan guardians burst out of the gathering
place, their hackles raised in alarm. A dark tabby alerts the others to
the fading figure of Blossoming Field and the dragon. The guardians
gather the Clans together, filling them in on what they had just seen.
Together, they head in the direction that Blossoming Field had been
hauled off in. They lose track of how long they've been searching,
only stopping to hunt and sleep for a few short hours at a time. As
the Clans start to lose hope, a ginger guardian with folded ears
picks up on a scent trail. It's Blossoming Field!

The Clans burst out of the undergrowth, suddenly surrounded by the
strong scent of Blossoming Field's fear. They stumble to a halt in front
of an old and decrepit bridge, their fur prickling at the different
scents mingling around it. The guardians step forward, eyeing a
strange and colorful faire taking place on the other side of the bridge.
Before anyone could speak, a loud and terrifying roar fills the air. On
the far side of the faire, a daunting tower loomed.

The dragon lands on the precipice, Blossoming Field squirming in
their claws. The creature lowers Blossoming Field into one of the
windows before turning their attention to the gathered Clan cats.
Its eyes narrow, claws digging into the walls of the tower.
Steam billows from its nostrils, a challenge hanging unsaid
between them.

Come closer... I dare you

introduction
the following thread is a create a clan exclusive summer event thread that can
only be posted on by create a clan staff and members of create a clan. the summer event
will last a month [ 6-16-23 until 7-16-23 ] the goal of the event is to rescue blossoming field
from the tower guardian, while also navigating the maze-like renaissance faire that stands
between the players and the game mascot.

guidelines
1. you must follow all cs rules, as well as create a clan rules
2. don't mark or post on this thread if you aren't a create a clan member
3. follow the individual rules of the faire booths.
4. all cats/items won in the event will need to be linked in your posts.
5. you must have made a post either on the cac thread or in our discord in the last 30 days

6. please be kind, there will be plenty of time to take part in different events.

timeline
since the event will only be lasting for a month, the milestone events and booths
will only be available for a limited amount of days. below will be the timeline players
will have for each section.

Entrance to the Event - 4 days to pass [ June 16th-20th ]
Faire Booths - 16 days to explore [ June 21st-July 6th ]
Ragnarok's Vision - 4 days to prepare [ July 7th-10th ]

The Clan cats all share unsure and panicked looks. They knew they needed to rescue Blossoming Field as soon as possible. But how were they going to get all the way to the tower, and defeat the tower guardian once they arrived? The Clan cats broke off into their own little groups, talking among themselves as they came up with a plan. The first brave group takes a deep breath and takes a couple of steps onto the bridge.

"Who goes there?" A voice booms.

Everyone freezes, looking around for the source of the voice. A younger apprentice from one of the groups lets out a cry and darts away from the spot they'd been standing in by the bottom of the bridge. A pair of glowing yellow eyes peer out at the cats, slowing moving over everyone one individually as if in warning. When none of the Clan cats moved, the owner of the eyes lumbered out from underneath the bridge and jumped on top of it. The fur along the cats spines prickled uneasily as they took in the large, nearly hairless cat. He fixed his unnerving gaze on them again, his wide nose twitching slightly as he took in their scent. His tongue flicked out briefly between a set of massive bottom teeth, seeming to be tasting the fear that lingered.

"This is Thurse's bridge," The tom growled, tail lashing. "No one crosses my bridge without my say-so. Only those who have earned the right to cross my bridge can use it," He settled back on his haunches, claws flexing into the old, worn-out cobblestone.

"There must be some way we can pass," A Clan guardian pushed their way to the front. "We've come a long way to save our friend and we have to cross this bridge to get to her. Please, we'll do anything."

Thurse looks thoughtfully at the Clan guardian, his tail swishing back and forth as he pondered his answer. "Hmmm, very well. I will let you pass," He began. "If you can answer my riddle."

What is it that fills the sky and earth, tears up new shoots, and shakes up foundations, but cannot be seen by eyes nor touched by paws?

"I shall give you four days to give me your answer. If you pass, you may go once you've answered. If you fail to answer correctly or within my time frame, I guess your friend will have to save herself, won't she?"
