The National Range Trotters Association (NRTrA) holds local and national events for owners who have an interest in furthering the competitive development of the breed. Racers have participated in Cross-Country, Dressage, Harness Racing and Endurance Trial competitors, and now it's time once more to get in the arena and prove your stuff! Any and all champions can race to become the best of the best!
• All competitors must have their stables registered with the NRTrA to compete.
• This cup will not have mane, tail, or feathers requirements like the other shows.

The National Range Trotters Association (NRTrA) formally began in 2015, by a man named Jackson Devin. Prior to his forming the association, his great grandparents owned a rather bustling ranch in western Europe, but immigrated to the United States in the 1930's. Though they sold many of their horses, they brought with them one Hanoverian mare, two Orlov trotter mares, a large Welsh Cob mare and a Finnhorse stallion.
After settling into their new home in the midwestern United States, they eventually imported two other horses; a large Hanoverian stallion and a Welsh Cob mare. These seven horses began their line of all-around work horses, eventually becoming the first Range Trotters, and they were well known in the area for their eagerness to please and do all sorts of work, as well as their athleticism when being used as jumpers in the show ring. Jackson's grandparents continued the line, but their children moved into other areas of interest in their lives and Range Trotters had a stagnant period for some time. Jackson began breeding them once more in 1999 at the age of eighteen, various interviews with the man stating that he fondly remembered these horses from time spent with his grandparents. The introduction Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosa horses is quite recent, but has only added to the breeds hardiness and versatility.

• All Trotters must be named, have a halter and listed in a stable.
• Other tack, such as in the case of Advent Trotters, are still eligible for entry use.
• You may only enter three horses at this time.
• All horses must have the proper reference or items applied to their page when posting the form.
• Entries that do not meet the proper reference requirements will be skipped.
• Show numbers must be updated with the matching form each new show. Quoting is fine with an updated Show Number.
• V1 Trotters may not be entered!
• Entries are closed to new posts at 7pm EST (CS Rollover for Chris!), and results posted the following day.-----------------------------Your post must include all horses being entered. Edits will no longer qualify, due to the potential for missing while tallying who is participating periodically throughout the week. If there is a major error that you need to adjust, please DM or PM Chris or HowlingHooves so that it is noted and checked over before rolls are completed.
xxxxie. You post on Monday with 2 horses, a note is made of these two on Tuesday when tallying participants to save time when preparing rolls on Saturday, you edit with another horse added on Friday. This horse added Friday may be accidentally skipped over, so please be sure to add everyone you want to at the same time.
Chris is not responsible for keeping track of your trotters rankings, that is your duty. If you list a trotter in the wrong tier, rolls will be done for the tier you listed in the form; the trotter will not jump up multiple ranks for user error.
If this error is noticed, the horse will be disqualified from that round should it not be adjusted and notification be sent, as listed above with edits.

Trotters will be promoted in rank depending on how many entrants are within the same tier. First place will move forward a tier, but both second and third placings have a pass or fail roll to progress. There must be at least three entrants in order for a promotion to be given to any placing. If NPC fillers are used in a competition, there will be no rank promotion at this time.
In addition to promotions, first-, second, and third-place winners will be rolled for bonus winnings. Regardless of NPC fillers, all owned trotters will be rolled for this bonus. Placings will be rolled as follows:
1-7 no winnings
8-10 bonus winnings
Unlike other shows, this comp type will only roll for high value items mostly not
found/only found in the Championship Winnings in other shows. These items include:
Twin Booster
Staff’s Tears
Hummingbird Dust
Chimeric Booster
Cursed Flames
Tombstone Piece
New: Dozen Roses
Straw from NPC horses. Straws must be claimed within 24 hours of winning them. If they are not claimed within that time frame, it will go back up to the public once more. NPC page with form here
A horse that champions in the Championship Cup will receive one more breeding slot and another 3% to Twin Rate, and be given the title Grand Champion.
