Trick or Sweet Eventure 2022

Any remaining candy you have should be converted to feathers in a 1c : 50f ratio!

The moon is rising and the last of twilight has finally disappeared. It's Sweetenween, the scariest night of the year--and also the sweetest. You and your Sweetens step outside your door, dressed in costume and eager to find some candy.

Welcome to this year's Trick or Sweet event! Like last year, there will be a narrative story accompanying the games, but we also will have five booths (ran by vanillachapstick, Transparent Cow!, Rosemoon, chaoticaura, and I) with different activities for you to do, just like this year's summer event!

There's also a shop you can go to below, with special things that can only be purchased with candy. They typically are earned through event participation.

From here on out, quoteposts only yield Sweetens, which are earned by being the first to quote a post saying "Trick or Sweet!" with this message:

Something is hiding in the bushes! The first user to quote this post saying "Trick or Sweet!" gets to take home a Sweeten!

Though please keep in mind you can claim 1 quotepost from here on out, and cannot claim one if you already won a Sweeten from one.

Welcome to the Trick or Sweet shop!
Here, you can purchase items with candy!

Fangs: x 1
Gives your Sweetens really big, sharp teeth. Good for biting into really hard candy. Can be any solid color.


Broom: x 2
Gives your Sweeten a broom they can sweep their dirty room with! What, you thought they could fly with it? Don't be silly, brooms can't fly. Broom and handle can be any solid colors.


Mini Broom: x 1
Gives your Sweeten a broom they can sweep their dirty room with, if you feel like being a jerk and making their job harder >:( It's a chore, not a punishment. Broom and handle can be any solid colors.


Tiny Pumpkin: x 2
Gives your Sweeten a little pumpkin on their head. Pumpkin can be any color, stem can be any shade of green or brown.


Witch's Hat: x 3
Gives your Sweeten a witchy little hat. Hat and band can be any color, optional ribbon may be added.


Ghost Friends: x 3
Make your Sweeten haunted by ghosts. At least they're nice. Can be any solid color.


Cat Ghosts: x 3
Make your Sweeten haunted by cat ghosts. They meow a lot, be warned. Can be solid color, bicolor, striped, bicolor + striped, leopard spotted, or calico spotted. Any colors can be changed.

You can apply any of the summer items you got last year here as well!

In this booth, your objective is to draw a fullbody Sweeten wearing a costume, colored, standing in front of the "camera" with a bucket/bag/sack of candy.

For example, but colored, neat, and transparent:

This is not a base, but a sketch to help visualize the pose you need. Please draw your own artwork.

After, all the drawings will be put together into the background above as a collab piece!

Make sure you follow these--failure to do so may result in you being asked to change it, or you not getting a Sweeten.

1. The drawing must be your artwork (no pre-made bases, even if yours) and be of a Sweeten that belongs to you or someone else (with permission).

2. The drawing must meet the following qualifications:

• It must be a fullbody (entire Sweeten shown)
• It must be fully colored (no white or solid color fills). Shading is optional
• It must have a transparent background
• It must be a Sweeten carrying something a bucket/bag/sack of candy, facing the camera/"looking at you"
• Your Sweeten needs to be wearing a costume (one you designed for it)

3. The costume must be a costume you designed for the Sweeten. It cannot be a costume it already had.

4. By drawing for this booth, you consent to having your artwork edited in the following ways:

• Pasted into a background
• Cropped (possibly, not all Sweetens will fit in the background and some will be in the foreground)
• Given a color filter (so it will blend with the background)
• Receive simple airbrush gradient shading (to help it blend in with the shaded background)

5. You can only enter once.

Entries will receive 5-10 candies depending on effort and a Sweeten if they meet qualifications!

While wondering the many games and activities you find yourself standing in front of a corn field, after looking around you here a soft yet stern voice break you out of your thoughts as they beckon you over, you see a sweet face of a...pumpkin? walking over you notice they're not a normal pumpkin, they're alive! They have a soft gaze as they pick up a few things from the underside of the booth and place it on the counter as you walk over.

"Welcome back my lovey folks! Welcome to the corn maze, its not exactly a competition but if you race trough it on time we'll give you a pat on the back! here you will pick a path and go through the maze hopefully making it to the end! but be warned there is a little creature wandering throughout the corn so be warned! here's a ticket to get started, there's a sign to your left showing you the paths. go and have fun!"

After grabbing a ticket, you head to the wooden arrow sign which points down the path. You can hardly see through the corn field and to what awaits you, I hope you're feeling brave. Taking a closer look at the sign It lists a few paths to go down, what sounds the best to you?

In this very cemetery, there is history. Years upon years of people who have been important to Sweeten-kind. Remember not to tread too loudly, you may wake the dead! Just in this very spot, the creation of certain medicines we have today were born!
Oh? What's that in the distance? A parade of ghouls! They're coming this way!"

"Well, well, well! Looks like we have some visitors in our graveyard! Come on kiddos, let's gather'em up! No, we aren't bad guys. This is part of the Graveyard Crawl! You'll have to come with us and join our parade now! There's a fun part too. All you have to do is guess who's at the front of the parade each time we go around and you can win a very special prize!"

As you’re passing the local pumpkin patch one evening, you see something unusual: a small, round table perched among the pumpkins. Intensely curious, you decide to investigate. As you approach, you notice that the top is covered in intricate and faintly glowing etchings. Across the table a Sweeten is sitting carving a jack-o-lantern, their work illuminated by the flame burning just above their head. Noticing your presence, they look up, focusing their myriad of eyes on you. Before you can ask any questions, they shake their head and point urgently to the full moon rising in the night sky. It becomes clear that for some reason, they need to finish their carving before it reaches its zenith.

As you look back down, they slide over a fresh set of tools without saying a word. It seems they’re inviting you to carve a pumpkin of your own with them; perhaps something interesting will happen if you do?

Welcome to pumpkin carving! At this booth you can design a jack-o-lantern of your own to exchange for Halloween candy; everyone who enters is guaranteed 5-7 candies, but if you get lucky, you might get bestowed with a little something extra as well ;)

Note: Each participant may submit one jack-o-lantern only.
