ROUND 1 is OPEN!

The Abd-Al Aziz family, founders and developers of the Egyptian Razorback, continue their work with this breed by hosting a number of competitions where dogs can make their masters proud. Competing is not required, however it does allow the assessment of breeding stock as well as provide a number of rewards, so participation is recommended!

How to Play:
You need your own Egyptian Razorback to compete in Conformation or Fashkh.
For Safari, you may use the Egyptian Razorbacks mascot, Zeke.

Your dog must be fully trained before entering any show!

TRAINING:
LEVEL ONE: Introduction to Handler (250 words or one art piece)
~~~This level is all about the dog meeting their new owner. How did they respond: shy and fearful, or brave and adventurous, maybe a little bit aggressive even? This is a great way to lay out the dog's basic personality, the side of them that everyone sees when meeting that pup.
LEVEL TWO: Basic Commands (200 words or one art piece)
~~~Here is where you can get into the training. Describe the commands your handler is teaching their Razorback, as well as how the dog responds. Are they sitting in a quiet room practicing sit and stay, or are they out there at the park with geese flapping around and little kids trying to pet them while they're supposed to be working? Go Wild! Even a dog who 'doesn't listen' in character may still go on Safari with you as long as you complete these training prompts. Let them be a little devil, if you wish!
LEVEL THREE: Working (250 words or one art piece)
~~~This is where we get into the details of your new dog's daily life! What do they do at your house, kennel, farm, or homestead? Are they perhaps a Conformation specialist who lazes around eating biscuits, or are they a guard dog not to be trifled with? Really let that personality shine while you describe a bit of their daily routine.
Conformation
Conformation is strictly about how well your dog fits the breed standard, and because of this certain variations may be rewarded, penalized, or even excluded entirely.
Dogs with Button, Tipped, or Asymmetrical Ears cannot compete in conformation! If a dog's ears are not naturally perky, then they would have to be cropped to be eligible for this competition.
Dogs with Feathered Coats get an automatic +5 to their Conformation score.
Conformation is primarily an RNG-based show, meaning that each Razorback's score is going to be determined by a random number generator.
Conformation Placement Titles
BOB - Best of Breed (#1 Top Dog, Can be Male or Female)
BOG - Best Opposite Gender (Top Dog, Opposite Gender of BOB Winner)
SM - Select Male (Second Highest Scoring Male)
SF - Select Female (Second Highest Scoring Female)
RS - Rising Star (Highest Scoring Dog Not Winning A Ribbon Listed Above)
Championship Titles
CH - Champion (2 BOB)
GRCH - Grand Champion (3 BOB)
GCHB - Grand Champion Bronze (4 BOB)
GCHS - Grand Champion Silver (5 BOB)
GCHG - Grand Champion Gold (7 BOB)
GCHP - Grand Champion Plantinum (10 BOB)
Upcoming:
Plans for Bonus Points to be awarded to dogs which won ribbons already.
Different NPC Judges who will award or detract points based on preferences such as coat color and markings, which will vary from one show to another in order to mix things up and make them a little more complex?
Fashkh
Pronunciation: "Fashkhh" with a guttural growl at the end.
With a literal translation the sport's name means "ripped out", however Fashkh has a colloquial meaning of extreme coolness. For example, "That car is Fashkh!"
Thinking of creating an original Razorback-specific sport similar to Schutzhund, but with more than three different levels so there may be multiple ribbons.
In order to showcase the many talents of the breed, the Abd-Al Aziz family has created a unique canine sport to prepare the dogs for Safari. That sport is Fashkh, and similarly to Schutzhund, it involves obedience, tracking, and protection work. The main difference is the difficulty, with this sport being considered significantly harder.
Before any titles may be earned, the dog must first pass a temperament test proving their stability around humans, and then secondarily go back for a test which measures their reliability around animals of various species, including but not limited to other dogs, donkeys, and horses.
After these tests are passed, the dog receives the KFN title, and goes on to compete in KFN Obedience, Tracking, and Protection, each of which will take place on an open field. Once the dog has mastered all three of these competitions, they will earn their KFS title and compete in the KFS level of each competition, this time in the rubble of a destroyed city. At that point the dog has earned their KFH title and will repeat each level of the competition in the open savannah, on an African Safari Nature Preserve, with wild animals present. This is the most elite and dangerous level of the sport, and any dog which completes the KFH level of Obedience, Tracking, and Protection will earn the most coveted title of all, either Abu Kelb Fashkh or Oma Kelb Fashkh, depending whether they are male or female.
--For Temperament Tests, dogs must score 65 or higher to pass. For all other trials, dogs must score 85 or higher to pass.
--First, Second, Third, and Fourth place in each trial will earn a Ribbon. (Ribbons will be designed when possible, I'm having a bit of difficulty with that at this moment in time).
--Obedience, Tracking, and Protection for each level must be completed in that order, there is no skipping around.
--After three fails, a dog will be auto-passed on their fourth try. For this reason, keep track of fails as well as passes when trialing.
TTH - Temperament Test Humans
TTA - Temperament Test Animals
KFN - Kelb Fashkh Nunu (Best Dog Baby)
---KFN Obedience
---KFN Tracking
---KFN Protection
KFS - Kelb Fashkh Saroyer (Best Dog Little)
---KFS Obedience
---KFS Tracking
---KFS Protection
KFH - Kelb Fashkh Hero (Best Dog Hero)
---KFH Obedience
---KFH Tracking
---KFH Protection
AKF - Abu Kelb Fashkh (Father of the Best Dogs)
OKF - Oma Kelb Fashkh (Mother of the Best Dogs)
Safari
The Abd-Al Aziz family regularly goes on Safari, not to hunt but to get close to wildlife and take some amazing photographs. They've been working for years with newspaper and magazine agencies to sell these pictures for a profit, which has the fortunate side effect of bringing the Egyptian Razorback breed to worldwide renown for their beauty as well as their bravery and hardiness.
The main benefit to going on Safari is that you may encounter something unexpected! In most cases this will just be a written description of what everyone has discovered, but in other cases you may find items or even a lost dog! The traits of dogs available will vary depending on the weather and season.
Before a dog goes on Safari, they must be fully trained to ensure that they are responsive during the event and remain safe at all times -- or at least as safe as one can be, surrounded by lions and the like...
Safari Titles:
SSD
Safari Dog Support Class - These are the dogs who are just along for the ride, basically. Dogs going on safari for the first time, people's beloved pets who want to go on a little excursion and get that 'working dog' photoshoot or story that they'll tell for the rest of the dog's lifetime and far beyond. These dogs can ride in jeeps with their owners, or on a quad if they can manage their balance. They hang back from the main event and are far from any dangerous action.
TSD
Safari Dog Tracking Class - These dogs are doing the distance work, and it's an endurance race, not a sprint. They are in good physical shape, working hard, and closing the gap between the group of people and the wild animals they've come to photograph and interact with. They are scent specialists, with the best of dogs able to pinpoint the odor of a certain species and follow them to the exclusion of all others.
WSD
Safari Dog Warrior Class - These dogs are the muscles of the operation. They get up close and personal with all sorts of wildlife, and they've got to be strong enough to hold their own. They wear thick protective collars like those seen on Catahoula Leopard Dogs when they work hogs, in order to protect their necks from the tusks and teeth of their opponents. When lions or hyenas become the focus of the search, the dogs are dressed in thick protective vests that cover their bodies as well. The goal is never to actually fight or harm the animal, only to get as close to it as possible and have the dogs prepared in case there is a need to defend themselves due to any unforeseen circumstances on scene. Being a warrior safari dog is not always very dangerous, however. When the quarry are animals such as Pallid Gerbils, Egyptian Vultures, or Blanford's Fox, for example, the dog is not at risk of coming to much harm.
GSD
Great Safari Dog - Once a dog has worked 3 seasons as a Warrior Safari Dog and found the quarry each time, they will earn this title. The finds do not have to be consecutive.
XSD
Excellent Safari Dog - Once a dog has worked 5 seasons as a Warrior Safari Dog and found the quarry each time, they will earn this title. The finds do not have to be consecutive.
MSD
Master Safari Dog - Once a dog has worked 7 seasons and found the quarry each time, they earn this title. Finds do not have to be consecutive.
CSD
Champion Safari Dog - A Champion Safari Dog has successfully worked 10 seasons as a Warrior Safari Dog and found the quarry each time. These finds do not have to be consecutive.
SSD - Support Safari Dog
TSD - Tracking Safari Dog
WSD - Warrior Safari Dog
GSD - Great Safari Dog
XSD - Excellent Safari Dog
MSD - Master Safari Dog
CSD - Champion Safari Dog
