Hello!! I’m holding three different readopts but 2 winners will get two kals instead of one! So overall I’m readopting 5!

Some important things to note:

These siblings have dreamt of producing their own ghost hunting show, and tonight is the night they start! With a brand new camera and a bag full of snacks they sneak into the supposedly haunted forest behind their house. However their ghost hunting doesn’t go according to plan. What happens?

The old house had been hidden in the woods for longer than anyone could remember. The paneling is grayed wood, ancient and dilapidated, the windows broken or covered up. It's certain that no one has lived there in years. Alijah and Winchester approach, the latter carrying a camera, and the former holding onto a bag full of flashlights and snacks. It’s a tradition for kids to send each other to the house around Halloween, but one trip wasn’t enough for them. They need to know more, search for clues. They’d be the first kids to find out the secret of the old house and tell everyone. And if they don’t believe them, the brothers will have photographic evidence!

They did a little research before approaching, of course: the house wasn’t listed for sale, but the last owner of the home had died. Further searching found records of some kind of incident, one that resulted in the death of an unnamed woman years before. The last time the house had been mentioned in records was over a century ago. To think that something like that had been so long unsolved… It made Winchester’s heart race and Alijah’s hair stand on end.

As they approached the door, Winchester went first, hand on the handle before his brother could protest. He started the camera instead, following carefully behind as the door gave a long, drawn-out groan and they made their way inside. The entrance is spooky, though perhaps a bit underwhelming: furniture lies covered in cloth, some of it stacked or out of the way. They’ve seen it before, their footprints visible in the grime on the floor. Last Halloween they’d stayed inside for a few minutes, but now they were here to explore, to discover, to document.

As they move towards the rooms in the back, the floorboards creak, struggling to hold together after so many years of neglect. “Careful,” Alijah mumbles, his next step very slow and deliberate. His brother rolls his eyes before he moves into the kitchen, the old tile on the floor chipped and the wallpaper peeling. The stove is old, and looks to be the wood burning kind rather than an electric one. The cabinets are empty and some hang open, cobwebs visible inside. Winchester walks forwards, intent on looking through the pantry, when the floor behind him groans suddenly and a crash comes quickly after it. He spins on his foot, a massive hole in the floorboards and his brother nowhere to be seen.

“Alijah!” He screams, fear turning his blood cold. “Are you okay? Where are you?!”

“I’m down here,” he mumbles, coughing as he looks up at his brother through the hole. “I’m okay.” He pauses, though, staring somewhere Winchester can’t see, eyes wide.

“What is it?” He considers jumping after him, but both of them being stuck down there won’t help.

“There’s a door, it’s a cellar,” Alijah says as if knowing his brother’s thoughts. “And there’s also… An old shovel down here?”

A Twitch stream is in progress of starting. The "loading" page ends, and the stream begins. The screen is a little blurry at first. Someone has their paw over the camera. There's a clamber of voices for a short argument, and then the screen is clear.

A vibrant purple Kalon with bright blue hair beams at the screen. A similar looking Kalon with long, purple hair rolls their eyes from their position beside the first. "Hi, viewers! We're the Ghostfacers. I'm Easha Wincruncher, and this is my sibling, Toarpe Wincruncher. And today... we'll be hunting our first ghost!"

The screen pans to a mirror, showing the two of them standing together. Easha is holding the camera, and Toarpe is holding a bag filled to the brim with snacks.

"So, our parents are fast asleep. And we're going to sneak out! To the haunted forest behind our house," Easha announces in a dramatic whispered voice.

Short explanation:
When Cashew was a kit, they always wanted a pet cat, but never got one. So one day, they found a rock outside and made it into their Cat! Cat stayed with them into adulthood, past the point where Cashew wanted an actual cat. Now they're happy with their Cat :)
