Welcome to the Space Between...

Alemenca are a dimensional species whose corporeal form resembles a horned light draft equine. Alemenca live in the space between dimensions and are vital for the survival and basic functioning of our third dimensional (3D) world. In non-corporeal form, Alemenca are best thought of as elemental essences: an energy form that allows for a specific type of energy to exist in a corresponding dimension. In corporeal form, Alemenca store their essence in the crystalline horns they possess, and the color of their essence is dictated by their individual Alignment. Alemenca existed long before our planet was born but have formed a unique attachment to our globe and especially its equid species. It is because of this affection that they chose to resemble the mythical unicorn in corporeal form and display natural equine colors, although they have been known to exercise some creativity around certain special events. The only part of themselves that Alemenca cannot decide is their alignment, as this is determined by the Alemenca that participate in their fusion.

Alemenca are owned by Deltas. By joining the Alemenca community, you take on the role of a Delta and will be responsible for the training, Motion, and Fusion of your Alemenca. Deltas do not have set natures but can be cooperative, competitive, or something in between. It is up to you to decide how you want to direct your Alemenca. The more successful your Alemenca, the more stable our world.

Alemenca Overview

Definitions

Pronunciation: al-em-ense-ah

› Alemenca: both the plural and singular words for the species
› Delta: director of an Essence of Alemenca
› Essence: the collective name of a group of Alemenca; also the term used to describe the non-corporeal (true) form of an Alemenca
› Fusion: the process through which a new Alemenca is made by two (or more?) Alemenca donors
› Level: the level of an Alemenca, dictating when it can participate in Fusions
› Mark: the measurement used to dictate an Alemenca's Level
› Motion: the type of competitions held between Alemenca; may be Vibrational, › Translational, Rotational, or Levitational

Points, Levels, & Marks

Delta Points

As the Delta of an Essence of Alemenca, you will earn Delta Points (ΔP) for reaching specific achievements. These ΔP can be redeemed for benefits that will help to strengthen your Alemenca.

ΔP can be earned in the following ways:

› Fusing a new (previously undiscovered) Alignment of Alemenca = 3 ΔP
› Having 5 Alemenca with at least three identical paired genotype alleles (e.g. all have EE AA NO or ee Ata TOTO)* = 10 ΔP
› Having 5 Alemenca in the same Alignment group*a = 5 ΔP
› Having 5 Alemenca of the same Alignment*b = 10 ΔP
› Having 5 Alemenca at level 5 or higher*c = 10 ΔP
› Having 3 Alemenca at level 10* = 10 ΔP

*When redeemed, Alemenca used to qualify will be noted with ΔPx (where x is the letter of the redeemed ΔP type) added at the end of their Motion name. An Alemenca can only qualify for a specific ΔP type once.

ΔP can be redeemed for:

› Custom Alemenca (Alignment must have been discovered already) = 15 ΔP
› Change one paired allele in an existing Alemenca = 5 ΔP
› Extra Fusion slot = 5 ΔP
› Extra Motion roll = 1 ΔP

ΔP benefits may be applied multiple times to the same Alemenca.

Alemenca Points

Alemenca earn points for their Delta by competing in motions. Motions focus on one alignment, but Alemenca of any alignment can enter a motion. Winners of a motion will receive, in addition to other benefits, Alemenca Points (AP).

AP can be redeemed for:

› Extra Fusion slot = 5 AP
› Twin Fusions = 7 AP
› Increase Alemenca 1 level = 7 AP
› Choose one genetically possible paired allele in a Fusion = 3 AP
› Add a rare gene to a Fusion = 4 AP
› Add a dimensional gene to a Fusion = 5 AP

AP benefits may be applied multiple times to the same Alemenca.

Alemenca Levels + Marks

Alemenca are Fused at Level 1 and must reach level milestones to participate in a Fusion.
Alemenca achieve increasing Levels by earning Marks in Motions.
Fusion cannot be performed by Alemenca below Level 3.

Total Marks (Mk) required to reach each level:

› Level 2 = 1 Mk
› Level 3 = 3 Mk
› Level 4 = 6 Mk
› Level 5 = 10 Mk
› Level 6 = 15 Mk
› Level 7 = 21 Mk
› Level 8 = 28 Mk
› Level 9 = 36 Mk
› Level 10 = 45 Mk

Any Marks earned after Level 10 will have no additional benefits.

Fusion

Any two Alemenca may participate in fusion. There are rumors of more than two Alemenca participating in fusion, but only two may currently be used as donors. Alemenca donate a part of their essence kept in their horn when performing fusion and can only do this four times without risking losing too much.

Fusion Rules:

› Each donor must have an updated Essence page listing any previous Fusions and linked to their original CS page.
› Once a Fusion has been posted, each donor has a 7 day cooldown before they can participate in another Fusion.
› Once Fused, it takes 5 days for the new Alemenca to develop its corporeal form.
› Alemenca are a closed species. You may not breed your Alemenca with other species/characters.
› You may give away, adopt out, trade, or gift (no FCFS) your Fused Alemenca.
› All Alemenca and CS rules apply.

Motions

Alemenca are naturally volatile and drawn to competition. They use the elemental properties of their Essence to compete in Motions of four categories: Vibrational, Translational, Rotational, and Levitational. Each type of Motion favors a specific Alignment, but Alemenca of any Alignment may enter any Motion.

Primary Alignments of Each Motion:

› Vibrational: Fire
› Translational: Water
› Rotational: Earth
› Levitational: Air

Motions are won by a combination of skill and luck. Skill from the Alemenca's primary Alignment value for a Motion and luck from a random number rolled to multiply that number. In addition, Motions are unique competitions in that how well an individual Alemenca performs is also affected by how many other Alemenca of their Alignment are also participating in the Motion.

Awards for Motions:

› 1st Place = 3 Alemenca points (AP); +3 Marks (Mk); +2 value for Motion primary Alignment
› 2nd Place = 2 AP; +2 Mk; +1 value for Motion primary Alignment
› 3rd Place = 1 AP; +1 Mk

Essence & Storage Page Requirements

Each user must have an Essence page to track their Delta Points (ΔP) and Alemenca Points (AP). An Essence page may be hosted on CS or off-site but must include the following:

› Essence Name: the name of your Essence of Alemenca
› Total Delta Points (ΔP): the total number of Delta points the Essence has accumulated
› Total Alemenca Points (AP): the total number of Alemenca points the Essence has accumulated

All Alemenca must have a storage page to participate in Fusions and Motions. A storage page may be hosted on CS or off-site but must include the following:

› Motion Name: the Alemenca's fancy name that is used in Motions (shows); must include indications of ΔP used if applicable
› Base Name: the Alemenca's casual or nickname that is used by members of its Essence and its Delta
› Height: must be written in hands (hh) and be a realistic height between 15hh-18hh
› Link to CS Adopt Page
› Genotype: the genes that make up the Alemenca's coat color and pattern
› Phenotype: the description of what is seen based on the Alemenca's genotype
› Level & Marks: both the current Level of the Alemenca and its cumulative Marks must be clearly displayed
› Alignment Values: the current value of each of the Alemenca's Alignments
› Fusion Slots: every Alemenca has four Fusion slots; these slots, whether open, reserved, or used, must be clearly displayed. Used slots must link to the Fused Alemenca on CS.
