What are Flame Tailed Vixens?
A Flame Tailed Vixen is a friendly, fluffy Fox from space with a long tail and a cool to the touch flame at its end. Their fur is always kept neat, often with natural or bright fur colors.Their diet consists of fruits, berries and nuts. FTVs are often very friendly and can grow to the size of a red wolf. Their flame is reflected by their mood and is very hard to control. They also produce a venom but only use it for self defence.

Home World
Nicknamed "Flamies", this species first appeared after a few meteor showers. The origins and home world however, is still a mystery. Based on studies, it is thought that their home world is filled with many diffrent types of plant life and editable vegetation. It is belived that flame Tailed Vixens have predator much bigger then themselves on their home world.

Rarites

Most Flame-Tailed Vixens are usually pretty similar in shape. Any line edits are a bit more unusual and it becomes rarer the more edits there are. Mutations include; fur, mane, eyes, horns, Wings and flame but always have fox ears.
Typically, they will be either a dark or pale color. It is very rare for neons. However, it is fairly common for neutral colors, such as brown, tan, and gray.

Tails
Flame Tailed Vixens
are known of course, for their forked tails that sprout cool to the touch flames. The color typically matches the color of the eyes and reflects how they feel on the inside, they literally have no control over how the flame behaves. The forks on the ends of the tail close up when they are feeling secretive, sad or scared. Only the oldest and rarest can control the emotions they show.

Venom
Their venom is mainly used for defense, as it tends to kill slowly. As pups, Flamies are taught to find saplings of conifer-like trees, called Xanlan Pines. the sap of these trees is poison to other animals, but when digested by Flame tail Vixens it produces venom in their canie teeth. Unlike their talis, they have complete control over when to use their venom.

Deit
Flame Tailed Vixens tend to stick to a vegetarian diet, They can eat and digest meat but they prefer not to. Their diet contains of berries, nuts, small saplings and fruit.

Relationships
Flame Tailed Vixen are very adaptable and can adjusted to almost all living conditions included being domesticated by humans. Flamies are very friendly, playful and courious creatures that love to explore and build Relashonships with not only other flamies but other species as well. Flamies often live in small families of up to 10, adolescent flamies have been seen to live in smaller groups of 3 to 5.

Breeding
Once a Flame Tailed Vixen reached adult hood they will seek out a mate. Flamies will breed any month out of the year but it is most common in the spring. A pair can have up to 3 kits a litter and a female can breed twice in her life time. A female flame tail will breed for life with only a single mate however, a male flame tail may breed with many females. When a bond is strong between a couple they will chose to mate for life.

Both parents will care for the kits until they are old enough to hunt on their own, The male may move on or chose to stay with his current mate. Flamies are very family orientated and can identify their kits by smell and sound, when in trouble a Flame tail won't hesitate to come and rescue family.

Life of a FTV
Like foxes, Flame Tailed Vixens are mammals and have pups. When a Flame tail is born they don't have claws, horns or even a little flame yet. Kits will stay in the nest their parents made for them for about 6 weeks and then venture out of their dens for the first time. The kits will learn to find food on their own and start to gain basic skills. pups are playful, trouble making balls of fluff that love to explore, they even have an extra layer of fur to protect them.

Flamies will rapidly grow into teens within the next 6 months and lose their extra layer of baby fur. At this time fur patterns become more visual and flamies will start to develop horns and other mutations, their forked tails will also start to open revieling their flame. Teens are very adventurous and independent at this stage in their lives, at this time most teens will make a living on their own or stay close to their families. This is when Flame Tailed Vixens grow the most physically and socially.

By the end of a full year these flamies are no longer adolescents but young adults and have grown to full size. Flame Tails will now have fully developed their horns, flame and other mutations. At this point in their lives, they have often developed their own personalities and will make the choice to either stay within their family group or leave to create their own. However, flamies are very family orientated and will alway reconize family members or nesting areas. When ready, a Flame Tailed Vixen will find its own mate.
