Though others may see the ocean as a beautiful ecosystem housing many unique and wonderful creatures, Caspian has had trouble not viewing it as a treacherous place. After having lost his brother to it's mighty power during a day at the beach, the young kalon hasn't been able to set one foot back into it's waters. It used to be one of his favorite things to observe, but trauma has made it all too difficult. But with therapy and time Caspian is slowly opening up to trying to love the beautiful salty sea air and vast deep waters once again.

Volker lives in a magical world where everyone has a gift. His gift is the ability to control wind, but he hates it. He wishes that he was in the regular mortal world where magic isn't allowed and normal Kalons are able to walk free. He feels as if his gift is more of a curse. Volker struggles with controlling it. Most of the time, he ends up causing a cyclone, hurricanes, or tornadoes when his emotions get too out of hand. It's especially bad when he gets angry and sad, but even when he gets happy some wind will pick up. He wants to be able to express himself without physically pushing others away.
