Welcome to the National Canam Flyball Association!Flyball is a team relay sport that involves four dogs racing on a team. Each dog goes down their lane, clearing four jumps, triggering a box to release their ball and retrieving the ball back to the start, where the next dog does the same.
How It Works
Races and Rolling
A team must have 4 dogs to enter a race. Each dog will be rolled for their run and the four dogs’ scores will be totaled for a team score. Each dog on the team will be awarded the points toward their titles individually. A dog’s race time is calculated by two rolls via a random number generator, rolling between 1 and 100. The first roll refers to the top row of the roll chart table (see below) which determines the second and tenth of a second of the dog’s time. The second roll directly equals the hundredth and thousandths of a second, thus creating the total four digit run time (X.XXX). These numbers are used to mitigate possibilities of a tie during tournaments.
The slowest a dog can run is 8.599 seconds.
The fastest a dog can run is 3.000 seconds.
All dogs start in the Green Dog 3 league roll column and move up a league when rolling a number less than the indicated move up amount located in the “Move up At” column of the roll chart table for the following race.

Infractions and PBs
Infractions could be an early pass at the start line, failure to complete the course with the ball, or missing jumps. Infraction rolls will result in a max roll for the offending dog and a fifth roll by your team’s best dog.
PB stands for Personal Best. Rolling a PB/or number will grant you either a PB match or the roll number, whichever is best.
Point System
When a team races, each dog will get a certain number of points towards a flyball title based on their team’s total recorded time:
under 24 seconds, each dog in that race will receive 25 points;
under 28 seconds, each dog in that race will receive 5 points;
under 32 seconds, each dog in that race will receive 1 point.
