Completed Prompt:The Soul Gathering
This is a time of year around fall when the Spirits fall from the Sun and float among the living. They come to the pride as Fireflys and are believes to be souls of an ancestries. This holiday falls on the fall equinox, at this time the tribe welcomes fall by giving offering to passed loves ones. They set shells, food, and flowers around the memory markers that surround the Great fire of the Gathering Circle. This is a great time for cubs for they are often given small treats from other members of the pride to entice them to sit long enough to hear the stories of those that once made up the pride. The preparation for this festival normally happens during the day and the event itself happens around twilight and goes on into the early morning hours. It helps remind the pride around their history and those they love.

Completed Prompt:The Great Tooth
Among on of the things found in the lobby of the cave is a large shark tooth, one so big that is makes Kaiholo look small in stature. This is believed to belong to the leader of the sharks in the ocean known simply as the Great Tooth. The tide believes that I is the cause of the trembles under the island ( They believe they live on the back of a giant turtle. ) The only proof the tribe has of this Great Tooth Shark is the Tooth that was left behind and found keep with in the caves. Some Lions and young cubs are to afraid to enter the water late at night in fear that the Great Tooth will snatch them up and swallow them whole, where they will never see their home again and will never reunite with The Ancient Father, their souls lost for eternity.

Completed Prompt:Don't Mess with the Queen
Kawai was sitting by the tide pool looking down at the tiny critter that lived with in it. She smiled as Likeke angrily batted away as a tiny crab that snapped back at him. Likeke was very determined to win the battle agenst his foe... "Keke, stop playing with your food" Kawai said with a small chuckle "It's not nice to torment the thing." She then used her paw and in one swoop squished it. Keke huffed and dug in. She closed her eyes and licked off the stuff left on her paw from her kill and enjoyed the litt- Kawai eyes shot open , wide as they can be as her fur dripped wet, the water was cold do to the cooling weather. Her eyes narrowed as Kai her mate rolled over laughing a big bellowing laugh, obviously the one behind the trick. The laughter soon turned into an awkward chuckle... then silence with a cheese smile. Her ears pinned back and with that she pounced on Kai and bit the nap of his neck playfully "You will pay for that" She said as she laughed and was soon tossed off and ready to pounce once again.

Completed Prompt:E01 wrote:The pride's favorite way to celebrate the fall is the Feather Parade. During the Feather Parade, many birds fly over the pride's territory, and during that time, all sorts of feathers get left on the ground. As this is occurring, the pride will often come and watch the birds flying over head. Once the amount of birds begins to calm down, the pride will then begin the real festivities. First, there is a game among the cubs and Learners to see who can collect the most feathers. Teams are formed, and the team with the most feathers collected gets first pick of the prey that night. After that, it is tradition that lions who are close with each other - whether it be platonic or romantic - to pick a feather they think will be liked and give it to the one closest to them. When the moon is highest in the sky, the lions will go to who they picked the feather for and give it to them.
E02 wrote:The one thing that traditionally frightens lions in the Isle of Roses is the Trial Grounds. According to the pride's beliefs, that is where the spirits of traitors and other evil lions continue to roam. That is one reason potential leader candidates must travel through it but never speak of it; they are supposed to show that they can go through that experience without being corrupted by those spirits. It is, in all honesty, a test of will, though most believe it also is a test of strength, as many think the leader also has to fight against any ancestors that may approach them in that place. The Learners in particular are always eager to talk about the forest and whether or not the stories are true. Despite the rules against entering the forest except for specific circumstances, the Learners will often dare each other to secretly enter the forest and stay the night there. Older Learners will even claim to have known a Learner who entered and never returned, mainly to frighten the younger Learners.
E03 wrote:Tenga and Jiwe's son, Sasa, has so far proven himself to be one of the biggest pranksters. Granted, many of his attempts don't work out well, but that is purely because Sasa is a cub and isn't capable of doing all that much right now. However, he is definitely shaping up to be a mischievous pride member, despite Tenga and Jiwe's attempts to curb the habit. He loves to try and sneak up and scare others, often choosing to pounce on their tails to spook them. The only lion that escapes his gaze is Haraka after she yelled at him for sneaking up on her. She didn't mean to be so scary, though she was super angry, but it has worked out in her favor, as Sasa has never messed with her since. His other favorite move as a trickster is antagonizing his sister, Laani. Sasa is definitely the favorite cub, partially becomes Laani just seems to draw misfortune to her. She is very clumsy and has a tendency for messing things up when she tries to make things for Tenga, or really when she does anything. Sasa loves to mess with her and give her grief, despite obviously loving her. Laani definitely doesn't like it, but she also doesn't dislike it, as it reminds her that Sasa loves her, even if he has a funny way of showing it.

Link to pride: The Pride of WikimakPrompt Number: E01-Celebration
Completed Prompt:Fall tends to be one of the more favorite seasons within the pride of Wikimak. The colors of the leaves as they fade from green, to yellow, to red has always been an amazing sight. The pride celebrates the coming of autumn with a festival held among their members. The kwahu will hunt all day and whatever is brought will be seasoned with various herbs found by the torololla. After which, all the lions flock to the den known as the "Rogintiro tree" or "The celebration den" and all celebrate there with cheers and a lovely meal.
They do celebrate a halloween-like celebration but it is known as "The Framunti" or "The Day of Disguise". Upon this day, the pride members will 'dress up'. Mostly adorning themselves with pelts, accessories, or even war paint, and wander around the territory. They often tend to go to the native peoples within the plains and celebrate with them as well, as they appear to celebrate the same thing at the same time, oddly enough. (171 wc)
Prompt Number: E02-Fear
Completed Prompt:The pride members aren't afraid of very much, but there are possibilities that tend to scar them.
One of the most frightening things that members tend to fear is finding themselves wandering away from Wicasa, toward Jorin, the Snake, known to be the overseer of the lakes of fire. In legend, those that look upon Jorin will find themselves being turned to salt and dust, falling and dying where they once stood.
The second most frightening thing would be Jorins minions. They are most noticeable due to their dark colors and the bat-like wings legend speaks of them having. They are not exclusive to snakes either, these minions. They can be wolves, bear, deer... any sort of creature. If they have bat-like wings and beady, fiery eyes, they are of Jorin and are a force to be reckoned with.
Thankfully, calling upon The Mighty One, Wicasa, will cause these demons to run and flee, for just hearing His name is enough to have them screeching and running in fear, to hide. (171 wc)
Prompt Number: E03-TrickyTrick
Completed Prompt:There is one trickster within the pride of Wikimak. And that just so happens to be their own leader, Alosaka.
Unfortunate as it is, Alosaka has always been a bit childish, and Framunti has always been one of his favorite holidays. He enjoys dressing up in rather frightening attire. His favorite disguise, of sorts, is a bear. He's got a bear pelt that has been within his family for generations, a prize that was begotten when his great great grandparents took down a bear with their own claws. He puts that on and goes off to hide within the pride's territory. Most times, when someone leaves a den, he's there, roaring at them and dangling that lifeless hide's head around. It always scares folks... Some tend to get used to it, others try to remember from last year only to forget later on... and then there's those poor, unfortunate souls that are new to the Wikimak pride and have to see their own leader scaring everyone.

Link to pride: The Howling Crags PridePrompt Number: E01
Completed Prompt:Fall is a tough time for The Howling Crags Pride. Since their main cave is located in the snow-capped mountains, they need to find a way to make it safe for travel. Since they haven't been able to find a way since reclaiming the territory, they move down to the Lower Territory in order to make it through the winter.
Tambo expands the territory to the surrounding plains so that why there is enough chances for acquiring food. The winter den is by the river so fish is in high demand but he always wants to have food stored somewhere in case the river freezes over.
But before that, the cubs would decorate both dens with brightly colored leaves that they find around both dens. They're not supposed to be leaving the den but they don't want to go to a dark-looking den and they want the summer den to look nice for when they return.

Firyali is currently the only member of the pride, but she plans to celebrate the season. October is the start of the final season in Ukumbi wa Paradiso. The leaves are starting to change color and the weather is cooling down significantly. Some of the traditions from her mother’s pride she hopes to integrate with traditions others will bring from their home prides. Luckily the eastern edges of the territory grows the bandia squash. The small fruit has been used as a temporary paint among her old pride. While the squash itself has a rather pale complexion, it can be mixed with berries or plants to give it color. Body painting was often a way to celebrate halloween. Ranked lions start to pair off during this season. The second month of the season is generally when they couple up, but courting can start as early as the end of summer and last until the end of fall. Cubs born the year previous also have a coming of age ceremony during this time. They prove their worth and earn a rank in the pride. These are a few things that will be carried over or implemented as the pride grows.
Prompt Number: E02
Completed Prompt: 201 Words
Firyali isn’t the bravest lioness but not much scares her more than hyenas. A horrible run in with them when she was much younger still haunts her today. Most of the lionesses were out on a hunt and the two lions were out patrolling one of the farther borders of her old home. One of the older boys, still to young to join the others, had been assigned to watch the younger cubs. A hyena had found them and with only one lion watching over five cubs it was a bit chaotic. Two of the cubs took off to hide, Firyali and the other two cowered as their babysitter tried to fend off the attacker. The boy was slowly losing the battle and Firyali had feared the worst. The two leaders returned in time to run the hyena off, but the boy had been seriously injured. While he did recover, he still walks with a limp. The African wild dogs that inhabit the southwest corner of the territory among some ruins and trees also dislike hyenas because they often steal food or intimate the pups. Firyali made an agreement to help the pack of dogs keep hyenas out of the territory.

Link to pride: Heron RiverPrompt Number: E01, E02, E03
Completed Prompt:E01 wrote:The Great Hunt - 168 Words
As everything changes with each new Queen, The Heron River pride does not have one set holiday to celebrate. Queen Shanara, the current ruler, has set up a holiday based on the old traditions of harvest. She has specified that the old gods deserve tribute every year to thank them for the successful, and even the failed, hunts that the lions of the pride had completed. The Heron River pride will gather together for one mass hunt, weeks of preparation go into this, as they always hunt other predators. A predatory sacrifice for the predatory gods of the hunts. Last year, the Queen's scout had returned with interesting news of a pack of painted wild dogs entering the borders of their jungle territory. The hunt had commenced and brought fruit of the leader of the pack. Once the hunt is finished, the Queen will watch in attendance of her pride as the shaman will cast what ancient magic they know for summoning the old gods to the sacrifice.
E02 wrote:The Bane of Heron River - 200 words
The pride situated at Heron River is very superstitious, and believes in many a thing other lions may know to be fiction. The Valley is not a kind place to those who are not prepared, so the lions and lionesses here are prepared for it all. Ghosts, Ghouls, the Plague, You name it, and they'll have a tale spun for it and an emergency situation prepared in case it happens. One lioness told the story of the banished lion. A male so strong the great Queen Isabelle had to banish with sorcerous magic, the Heron River pride was always in great danger of him taking control, as Isabelle was nowhere near as physically strong as him. She conversed with her shaman on what they could do, and the next time he came round to challenge her she banished his soul to the cursed lands, where lion's of evil heart will stay forever. Though many a matron of cubs has used his name to keep them in line, he is still very much feared by the pride, and every year on the anniversary of his banishment, they will hold a ceremony to keep his spirit in the realm of cursed lions.
E03 wrote:A Time and Place for Everything - 167 Words
Heron River has never really been a place for pranks, the lions here live in secrecy and superstition. They like living in the jungle, and to do so they keep themselves as low profile as possible, being found would be a horrid mistake as other predators and even rogue lions have shaken their pride before. The pride may not take well to a prank, let alone a lion or lioness who consistently thought pranks were a way to make fun. Queen Shanara, the current ruler of the pride, would honestly probably see the lion causing the distress as a threat and either exile them or send them on a mission that would help the pride and hopefully straighten their views on what made for good fun. The Queens before her however, would usually deign to exile the perpetrator, or straight just kill them. Most lions of the pride would prefer exile or death, but of course the Queen's word is law and they will always uphold it.

Link to pride: Soul PridePrompt Number: E01, E02, E03
Completed Prompt:E01 wrote:Fall is a one of the Soul Pride's favorite time of year because fishing is at its peak. During this season, just as the leaves begin to turn the annual fish migration begins. Large schools of colorful fish travel down the river that crosses right through the Soul Pride's territory. And with the sheer numbers of schools that pass through, the pride is well fed for weeks. But it is at the beginning of this season that the pride truly celebrates. The changing of he leaves and the coming of the fish signal the start of fall, and the pride celebrates by fishing competitions, sharing stories, and feasting themselves on the migrating fish. It is a time of plenty for the pride when they don't have to worry about food. It's also one of the best times of the year to teach cubs how to fish given that there are so many fish for them to try and catch.
E02 wrote:The Soul Pride values their cubs so completely that it has been ingrained into every pride member's mind since the day the were born that cubs should be protected at all cost. Due to this, nearly every single pride member can agree that the most horrific and terrifying thing that the pride could face would be the loss of a cub. Thus, whenever an adult member of the pride is not aware of where one of the cubs are, they instantly feel a sense of absolute terror and dread. This reaction has basically been programed into each and every lion of the Soul Pride. Though out of all fears a lion could have, being overprotective and extra careful with their cubs is certainly not the worst trait to have. Especially in a pride that is so prone to war. It never hurts to have extra eyes on the youngest members of the pride to make sure they are safe.
E03 wrote:Ironically, the biggest trickster in the Soul Pride is the second in command, Taibhse. Most would expect the general to be cold, calculating, and serious. But Tai is anything but. Don't be mistaken, on the battlefield or when situations are serious, Tai is ruthless and strategic. He's the last lion you want to mess with. But he loves messing with his pride. He'll crack a joke or make a pun to make a pride member smile, or he'll be seen playing with the cubs. The general has a soft spot for his pride, particularly the cubs. Whenever a prank is pulled by a young lion, chances are good that Tai helped them come up with it. And he'll also help them come up with a cover story and alibi if needed. But at this point it's a lost cause. Everyone knows that Tai helped them, and most likely anything the culprits say was carefully constructed.

Link to pride: The DreamcatchersPrompt Number: E01
Completed Prompt: ( 159 words )
Members of The Dreamcatchers come from all around the world, different climates, different backgrounds, therefore each of them has their own traditions and ways to celebrate the fall season, but they all do take part in Halloween. It's a holiday that became mandatory as a way of unifying all the lions from various prides, bringing them together and, for one day in the year, pretending to be that which they fear the most.
The leader of The Order of the Moon, which dreamcatchers are a branch of, holds a party for all of the members each year. He always dresses up as the devil's advocate, which he thinks is a hilarious pun. Many of the wild cats within the organisation are upper-class snobs and hate the masquerade. There is a lot of standing around and awkwardly eyeing each other's costumes. The youngsters however, find it a perfect time to relax, interact and play some tricks on their older friends.
Prompt Number: E02
Completed Prompt: ( 154 words )
All members of The Dreamcatchers are dreams, or more specifically, a special task force of dreams that took the shapes of lions to better protect their realm and eliminate nightmares. A war between the two worlds has lasted since the beginning of time. Understandably, most will be afraid and resentful of the other side. Sen is a good example of that. Having lost his father in the fighting, he mistrusts the terrors and is having a hard time adjusting, now that he has to work alongside them. He is on edge, constantly anticipating them to turn against his pride and attack.
Not everyone shares his fears. Though uneasy at first, Revas is glad to have joined forces with the other side and is happy to work together. He has no problem welcoming them into their ranks. He believes that they're not so different because after all, they're all lions and share the same goal.
Prompt Number: E03
Completed Prompt: ( 183 words )
Revas is definitely the biggest trickster among The Dreamcatchers. His whole existence seems to revolve around jokes and silly shenanigans. Because of that, during holidays like Halloween he has to work extra hard and so his antics feel special. Due to his pride consisting mostly of brave warriors trained to fight and overcome their fears, pranking can be especially tricky. He tried some of the Halloween classics: laughing skulls, fake (and even real) spiders, loud and scary noises, but they had little to no effect on the other lions.
He does not spare anyone in his trickery, even his boss, on whom he drew a moustache and Sen didn't realise for a whole day. "Pranks over ranks", as he says. He does love his clan and would hate to be thrown out, so he makes sure to naver take a joke too far.
His favourite thing is tricking the new members. He tells them all sorts of imaginary stories. For example, that their pride land lays on old, haunted grounds or that their captain turns into a crazed, blood-thirsty monster during full moons.
What a beautiful, beautiful thing
to be able to dream
when you're not asleep.
