Adoption Process
- Cavalls up for adoption have a 'UFA' symbol in the top right corner.
- Fill out the form as the artist requests and post it before the end date.
- You may choose one halter colour and one metal colour, or you may use a specialty halter.
- Once you win, the cavall is yours to keep, compete, apply items to, and breed.
- You may stud/lease them by setting up a fee other users by you, or make them free.
- You may sell a cavall only after a full month of owning them. The month starts only once you've named it and chosen a halter.
Breeding Process
- Breeding can typically only be done between a mare and a stallion.
- That said, please don't be discouraged from forging relationships between your cavalls as you please.
- There will be opportunities for unnaturally conceived foals with some events and items, which can be stockpiled and exchanged.
- Unnaturally conceived foals are those between same-sex pairs, or with only one known parent.
- Gather permissions, or use your own cavalls for a breeding.
- Obtain any items you wish to use, and inform the banker you're sending them in. They won't be removed until the foal is born.
- Fill out a form on the breeding thread after an artist posts an opening.
- Wait for the foal to be completed. If after three weeks it's not done, please PM me (adheline).
- Foals will be posted under a nursery.
Growth Process
- Your foal may be grown after two weeks of being claimed and named.
- Decide on and obtain any items you wish to use, and inform the banker. They'll be removed when the grown cavall is posted.
- Decide on an artist and send in their form.
- Some breeding artists are also growth artists, and you may send a form in to them if they're open.
- Wait for the growth to be completed. If after three weeks it's not done, please PM me (adheline).
- Growths will be posted under the main page, where adopts are, as they've become adults who may now compete and breed.

Championed cavalls have exceptional value, and unlock several perks for their owners. Horses can be championed by earning points towards a specialty, earned during a competition leg of every event. It's not necessary to champion in order to keep your horses, but it's an excellent way to boost the status of your stables. A cavall may champion in three different specialties at most. These can be any mix of competition and work.
Specialties
- Competition: Dressage, Driving, Conformation
- Work: Cart-Pulling, Leisure Riding, Film
Points
- Point awards differ in every event.
- Points are earned by a horse, meaning they can't be given to a different horse.
- Points are earned towards a specialty, and may not be changed once awarded.
- You may only work on gaining points for one specialty per horse, and three horses at once.
- You must keep a point log on your horse's page or stable page (doesn't matter which one).
Point Logs
- You must keep a point log on your horse's page or stable page (doesn't matter which one).
- On the log, you must link to each time the horse has earned points, and a running tally of points.
- This log must be linked every time you enter to earn points, and every time you champion a horse.
Championing
- Once a horse earns 100 points in a single specialty, you may submit a form to champion it.
- For each championed specialty, a metal clip will be added to your cavall's halter.
- Once a horse has championed in at least one specialty, it has access to the items in the Champion Shop.
- Upon championing a horse (this includes all three times) you will receive a prize bundle.
Champion Parentage
- Foals of a previously established champion may have a low-cost clip on their halter.
- If the parent of a foal champions after it is born, it still cannot claim champion parentage.
- If a founder completes three championed specialties, it may earn another 100 points to claim champion parentage.

In version two of Nord Cavalls, we’ve made a number of changes based on feedback in version one. So returning adopters know what’s been changed, here’s a log everyone can reference.
- Removal of discord. All activity will be kept on cs.
- Foal lines! We’ll now introduce a growth aspect to the adopt.
- Changes to the mane! Perhaps the most mentioned request was the ability to give stallions a long mane, or to crop mare manes. Due to the fact that the manes were part of the base lines, it was a difficult feat to make this possible. With a decent amount of frankensteining, though, this is now an option.
- Removal of competitions. Adopters seemed disinterested in this aspect of the sim, so it’s been removed. However, the ability to champion horses will still be possible in a leg of every main event we have. In addition to this, the perks of champion horses have been increased significantly. Any previous competition participation will be converted for you.
- Specialties are no longer part of the main form of a horse. Instead, they will be attached to the champion title. Ex: championed in dressage. A horse may champion in three specialties.
- Monthly events! How exciting! With the removal of competitions, we’ll keep busy with an event every month. It could be anything from a small, three day event, to a whole month of celebrations. These will replace the monthly raffle, that frankly I kept forgetting about anyway.
- Currency compounding. Coppers will be the only currency now, and items will also see a change. However, there might be some event-specific currencies that can only be used for rewards during that event. Your silvers have been converted into coppers.
- Coat rarities. They’ve been removed from the horse’s main form and have been adjusted according to their real rarities, based on what cavalls have been made previously. The list may fluctuate as time goes on to reflect the cavalls being made.
- Removal of adoption type symbols. All cavalls up for adoption will have the same ‘ufa’ text.
- Items will be divided into different shops, which might not always be open!
- Specialty halters may now be used after adoption, however the fact remains that some artists won’t always find the time to change them. It’s safer to use them beforehand, but no longer the only option. Note that a halter cannot be changed other than with the application of a specialty halter. If you no longer like the blue halter you chose when adopting, you may not change it to red.
- With the addition of foals and growths, individual cavalls will no longer have their number on them unless they're a landmark. This makes things easier on the artists. If you would like to know the number of your cavall, please check the archive.
- Every first place your cavall earned in V1 may be added to its point log as twenty points in the same specialty.
