Chetapal Destrals, Destrals, or 'Trals, are wild horses
with cloven hooves, fangs, and horns. They come in
a varirety of colors and markings including silvers,
duns, pintos, and double dilutes. They are
omnivores. 'Trals are widly aggressive and territorial.
Stallions always fight each other. They run in
bands, typically small groups consisting of one
stallion, one lead mare, and the other mares the
stallion likely stole from other bands. They can be
mutated as well, either from breeding or being
affected by natural radiations. Some mutations found
are chimerism, and deformed or extra dewclaws.
They live in the Chetapal badlands, with the
Chetapallian Range to the north. A single, narrow
river called the Hinsonee rushes through the Hite
canyons. Similar to that of an oasis, the main
vegetation in Chetapal occurs along this river.
However, this river is only 124 miles long. It breaks
up at the end making a webbing of networks along
the bottoms of the canyon. There are not many
animals here, including cougars, sheep, antelope,
jackrabbits, and tarantulas. Each creature is
heavily equipped to survive this harsh land. Due to
the land's restrictions,they have a high resistance.
They can go days without food or water.

Breeding is fairly simple. A stallion and a mare is
required, and there is no stem-cell breeding.
Destrals are wild, and inbreeding is uncommon.
The members of a band or herd tend to push
away and seperate themselves from their
offspring. This really only prevents the Lead
Stallion from breeding with his offpsring,
and not much else. Inbreeding will not have
any negative effect, unless it is prevalent in
a particular family tree. There is a higher
chance of a non-lethal or other wise harmful
mutation, than in a clean breeding. Chimeras,
extra dew claws, double tails, new genetic
mutations, melanism, etc can all happen
in both types of breedings. Clean breedings
have anywhere from a 0% to 10% of producing
a mutated foal. Inbred breedings have
anywhere from 5% - 25% of producing a
mutated foal.
Genetic info on the offspring is not random
in any way. If both parents do not have roan,
there is no chance their offspring can have roan.
Some foals might have a gene that only expresses
on certain pigments, such as Silver (ZZ). Silver
only shows up on black based horses, so
chestnut based horses have no affect from silver
but may still carry it. Breeding Overo to Overo
has a chance of the foal not making it. Same

Once a month, I will accept a free breeding
request from someone who has no Destrals.
This someone has to have permission to use
two other people's Destrals and proof of it.
Or, they could also buy slots from any of my
Destrals. Some slots may randomly be for free
and up to anyone who grabs it first. The slots
any Destral-less person buys will be half-off.
Free breedings may be given to those who buy
lots of customs, or else has helped me or the
species in a way. They could also be prizes
in adoption-ties, or other such things.
Do note that everything on this page goes for
every single person, breeding, and Destral.
Breeding artists may have their own rules,
prices, and slots. The next post will be
about my slots and Destral breeding slots.
Adoption-ties are when a winner has been chosen
for an adopt, with one or more runner-ups. This can happen
at any time, for any reason. There is no criteria for when
there can be more than one winner. The artist may choose
to give the runner-ups/extra winners a free breeding or
custom, and may have rules. For instance, the main adopt
was a sooty buckskin tobiano. There were two winners,
and the second winner won a free uncommon custom. But,
the custom had to have sooty, one copy of cream, tobiano,
or any mix of the three. Everything else is up to the winner (s).
