You shake your head. You've never seen a climbing wall so huge in your life, or any of this crazy gear this guy is wearing.
You can tell he's disappointed for just a second.
Something tells you this guy has a few insecurities about his height, but you decide to keep that to yourself. It sounds like he's pretty serious about this challenge though. Didn't you just tell him you'd never done this before? Looking closer, the gear he's using looks a lot nicer than some of the other stuff laying around. Did he bring his own?
You're still considering all this when you see something else moving above you. From the other side of the wall, a sunbleached lock of hair comes dancing around the corner. In just seconds, another counselor is back down on the ground, unlatching herself and walking over. Her top, unlike Ballard's simple kamp tee, has been customized and cut, with little beads dangling down over her belly button. And unlike Ballard, she towers over you with a friendly, laid-back smile. Side by side, the height difference is only more extreme.
While Ballard is helping get your gear fitted properly, Cam points up at the wall.
You promise you won't go up on the wall without supervision, or without your gear.

- Insects hum happily as a warm summer breeze washes over you. Towering over you now, one of the first things you spotted over the treetops when you first arrived at camp - the rock climbing wall. As your eyes turn upward, you're forced to squint at the top of the wall aligned almost perfectly with the sun high above. And as your vision comes back into focus, you realize a figure is rappelling back down to earth. He looks small, at first, perhaps another camper? It quickly becomes clear that with how fast he's taking this decent, however, he's done this more than a few times in the past. As he unhooks the rope and turns to face you, you realize this must be one of the counselors.

Don't sweat it. Everyone has to
start somewhere. I didn't get
where I am today by jumping
right into it. It takes practice
and a lot of skill to climb like
I can. So don't be too intimidated or
anything. Besides, my bestie Cam is
around here somewhere. She's a great
climber too. Between the two of
us, you'll be an expert in no time.

Watch me do it. I'll show you your choices, and highlight which one is correct.
If you choose the correct handhold, you'll be one step closer to reaching the top of the wall!
A correct handhold will win you 5 golden acorns.
Even if you don't choose correctly, you'll still get 2 golden acorns for your attempt!
At the end of the week, we'll enter the names of our top climbers in a raffle for even more prizes!
