• What I'm really looking for in the extras is like, a backstory and/or an glimpse of the day-to-day life of the Kalon. It should showcase their personality. How do they interact with the world around them?
  
• Writing should, ideally, be kept short and sweet. I don't want to put a word limit but please don't overwhelm me with walls of text. Quality over quantity.
  
• Prettying-up is allowed but not required.
• You are free to change the Kalon's name and gender, but you are also free to keep it the same.
• You can apply for multiple Kalons, just include somewhere in your form if it's your first, second, or third choice Kalon.

I really appreciated how you built on my old concepts with an eye for detail! It's as if you unearthed and expanded upon the character that I wanted to create but never had the time to develop. Within that whirlwind of information lie thoughtful details, charming shenanigans, and meticulous descriptions that come together to create a solid impression of this Kalon. My name is Niko. I was born December 12th, 2001, 17 years ago. I never knew my father, he left my mom before I was born. That's all I knew about him for the first 14 years of my life. And my mom... She was a handful. She never really recovered from losing my dad, which crushed her confidence. By the age of 7, I was taking care of her more than she was for me. I learned to cook early on, and when she came home late from the bar, I learned to fetch her a bottle of water and some Motrin right away. I was just used to it. This went on until right after I turned 14, when everything took a sudden turn.

I was at the beach with my buddy, Drako, when it happened. The water around me started to spin, lifting me up into the air. With a bright flash, a glowing trident appeared over my head, and the next thing I knew, I was falling towards the water, slowly losing consciousness.

I woke up in a chariot pulled by a single pegasus, with Drako crouching over me, a panicked look carved into his face. Sitting up slowly, I spotted another person at the front of the chariot. This person later turned out to be my sister.. er- half sister. She escorted us to a camp called Camp Halfblood, a sort of safe haven for demigods. Upon my arrival, she explained everything and sent Drako off to speak to the director. I'll just give the shortened version, as it can be quite lengthy.

I am a demigod. Demigods are half mortal, half god, meaning one parent is a god while the other is mortal. What happened to me at the beach was called getting "claimed" by my godly parent. Claiming is basically just a god saying "hey this is my kid!" It turns out that my father is Poseidon, the god of the sea. I never knew my dad, not because he left, but because he's a god.

Mercy is my half sister, as she and I share a father, and she showed me around the camp and brought me to the Poseidon cabin, which only had 3 beds in it. It turns out, my dad's kind of a big deal! He's one of the Big 3 (Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon), that swore to never have children, which explains why there are so few of us. I soon learned that the 3rd bed belongs to my other sister, Fable.

Once I got settled in, I accompanied my sisters to the campfire, which apparently is a daily thing. There I met up with Drako again, who had just found out that he also is a demigod, though he hadn't yet been claimed (he was later claimed by Apollo). At the campfire, they mostly spoke about stuff I had no knowledge of, and next thing I knew, I was settled into my bed back in the Poseidon cabin.

I learned all of this in the span of 12 hours, so you could expect it to be pretty overwhelming, which is probably why I can talk about it so calmly now. Or maybe because this all happened 3 years ago, and I've just gotten used to it. Whatever it is, I'm perfectly content with this life. It's full of... action! It's much more interesting than my life ever was before.

Despite my level of comfort with it, learning who I was definitely changed me. I was once shy and withdrawn, kept to myself unless I was doing something for my mother. I was a doormat really, but once I got to the camp, I started to open up. I made friends, my confidence grew, and my attitude blossomed. My level of snark has reached ridiculous levels, and I'm pretty... cocky at times. You could say I have a big ego, though I prefer to just call it being awesome. I mean, who else do you know that can breathe underwater? Other than my sisters. Despite my snarky attitude and level of confidence, I'm a deep feeler. I take everything to heart, though I'm honestly happier than I've ever been among my godly family.

Lawrence is a dragon tamer,
he travels across the land and tracks down the beasts in his 'Dragon Wagon'
He keeps some of the smaller ones with him

Life story:
Lawence had a gift, to be able to understand any creature or language.
When Lawrence was a young kalon he lived in a small village in a large beautiful valley with surrounding tall mountains.Life was simple,his father was training him to be a blacksmith,to take over the family smithing.
one day a large dragon moved into a nearby cave and raided his peaceful village burning the crops and several homes.The large Male Kalons of the village decided to slay the beast,but Lawrence said there had to be other ways.They all laughed and called him a coward.Because of his gift he was very sympathetic of all animals,so he climbed up the mountain as fast as he could to save the dragon. He carefully entered the cave and found the dragon.He managed to befriend the dragon and convince her she needed to leave. As she flew away the group of warriors arrived and saw what he had done.

The villagers called him a hero,but more importantly he had saved lives.
Lawrence realized he could help more people as a dragon tamer than a blacksmith, so he said farewell to his parents took the wagon and horses, and set off on an adventure.


Every where he goes and tames dragons the people love him.but He doesn't really care much for the villagers celebrations. Lawrence likes to just return home and relax. Sometimes he will watch from afar or pop in for a few minutes to talk to some Kalons or grab some food. Mostly he likes the attention but he gets overwhelmed every once and a while.

Lawrence does what he does to save lives and make the World better. The thankful villagers offen give him enough gold to buy food to last to the next town. When he can't buy food he hunts deer and boars, he feels sorry for the animals but they are delicious and he has to eat them to live.

((In any modern Au he would probably be a vegetarian))

Dragons:
Lawrence's personal dragon friend-pets

A long thin wheat colored dragon who likes to sleep.
He sleeps on Lawerences shoulders,bed,wagon roof,head,floor, or any remotely existing surface.
Lawerence loves the feel of his scales and thinks he is adorable so he keeps him around.he couldn't get rid of him if he tried the lite thing adores him and is dedicated to protecting him.

Three brothers,approximately 5inches tall.they fly around his wagon and nest in the roof support beams.
They offen sing like birds.Lawerence loves them.woodchip likes to chew on wood and bark, so Lawerence offen gives him a big piece of tree bark to chew on so he doesn't destroy to wagon.Wingspan is the largest of the three and he is also the dragons Alpha dispite being only half a foot tall.Waterboy absolutely loves splashing around in the water basin.

an older dragon who wouldn't survive in the wild so Lawrence took him in.
He is mostly grey with specs of blue.he is the largest dragon and has two heads.he mostly just sits in the corner.

A fiesty angry little dragon that Rams his tiny little head into everything,he runs around the floor and hisses at everything.and when he gets tiered he sleeps in the cabinet for more than half the day.
Lawrence thinks his anger is very cute, but is considering releasing him

A bluejay that got into his wagon and will not leave.a very bossy bluejay.
Lawrence mostly ignores him, but he is there.

Personality

Generally Lawerence is a very empathic and kind Kalon. He wants the best for everyone.He has quite a sense of humor and laughs at a lot of things. He very neat and feels uncomfortable around messes, he may even become nauseous if an area or object is dirty enough.Lawrence can be easily spooked but when there is a known danger he is very brave. He can be selfless, but knows self preservation is important. Usually an optimist.

Thrylos opened his eyes, he was cold, very very cold... Everything around him was blue, white and cold. It was winter, he concluded. Thrylos sat up, looking around at the frost covered trees, snow gracefully falling around him. How did he get here? he pondered, pulling himself to his paws as he looked around and faintly in the distance he saw a nearly white figure, a long fluffy cape trailing behind the strange figure. He was unsure if he should approach, this figure could be dangerous, since a trail of ice seemed to follow them. Was this person cursed? Like... Him... Wait! he wasn't cursed! Where did that come from!? Thrylos shook his head as to rid himself of these strange and disturbing thoughts, though when he looked up the figure was gone. He cursed, loudly, and the trees seemed to shake around him, it was strange... Could his voice move things? He shook his head again, this was too much for him to handle.
He finally concluded that it would be best to go after this person and talk to them, because so far they were the only other soul he had seen thus far. He stumbled forward, shaking on his paws as he walked, calling out to the person he saw. "Hey!" he called out, once again the trees in the area shook around him, as if he was the cause. The figure stopped and turned, there was something in his eyes that chilled Thrylos to his very soul, something wasn't right. "Thrylos!?" he spat, stepping forward and ice shot from where his paw met the ground, stepping back he shook his head. "Look, I have no idea where I am and who you are" he paused, shaking his head and looking into the other's eyes. "How do you know my name?" He stepped forward, opening his mouth to speak and yet, his mouth seemed to be painfully frozen shut. "I cursed you, banished you from the god realm which should have killed you, and now you're here? You should be dead Thrylos!" he spat, stepping forward.
This was when Thrylos noticed his mouth and paws were frozen in place, preventing him from moving or speaking. He should have just kept his mouth shut. "Now, you don't know who I am now, do you... Victor, the God of Winter and Ice. You, you are Thrylos, the God of Myth and Legend. You're too powerful, you can shake the trees with a single word, you're a threat, Thrylos" his name was spat with such malice and venom he swore he could feel Victor's words melting his freezing body. "I'll leave you here, though, in the land of eternal winter. You're mortal body will freeze and I will finally be rid of you. Don't come back or I'll curse you again." With that, Victor turned with a flourish of his cloak and trotted off, leaving Thrylos frozen and confused, cursed to be a frozen statue in the land of eternal winter, a block of ice to be gawked at. It was tiring, boring, and painful. His thoughts from the point Victor left to the day his mortal body finally gave way were filled with one question. What is Victor planning to do now that I can't protect the others?
