Main Thread
Welcome to the Chirping Foxes' make your own event! This is a competition that will take place with anyone who wants to join!
In this competition, you will draw and design your very own Chirping Fox, with only a few limitations. The art can be done traditionally or digitally, as long the colors are pretty accurate to what you want. If you win, your design will be transferred to official lines for free by yours truly.
All IDs from customs from this event will be shown as the litter #1E.
Rules
• You cannot make anything Tier 4 or above due to their rarity. •
• You do not have to make your own art. You can commission someone. However, you MUST design it yourself. •
• Don't deviate from the form given. Don't fancy it up ridiculously. •
• Only one entry per person. •
• No accessories or mutations or anything. •
• If you mark this thread, edit your post for the form. •
• Any questions? Go to the Fanclub — this thread is for entries only. •
• Try not to have your designs too crazy. The linearts are small; it's hard to put fine detail into them. •
Regulations
These are simply requirements for your entry.
• Clear image if done traditional. Use natural lighting if you can. •
• No shading on the entry image, to keep markings & colors obvious. •
• Design must be yours. It cannot be another character of yours transferred to this species. •
As a note, please try to read up on what they are supposed to look like. They're all very fluffy (save for Rex, of course), all of them have short muzzles and small noses that are canine like. Their four "ears" aren't ears at all, but more like funnels to help them hear in certain directions, and the lower ears are usually smaller. They have large eyes with slit pupils. They aren't fragile, and are actually kind of heavy and thick-boned, unusual for their small size. Most of their anatomy is fairly vulpine-like. Their tails (with the exception of docked and rex) are usually as long or longer than their body size. Their ears are usually half their height. There is no sexual dimorphism within the species.
Also, there is only one design that cannot be put onto your fox; a full-body dorsal stripe, the marking that Mouat has. This is to retain the simple originality, as Mouat is my fursona and has been for a long time, and that is the only marking that hasnt changed at all.
Form
Grand Prize
In addition to being able to get your entry on official lines, you might win a very special CF. You can win a custom Curled-Tail Chirping Fox, the rarest current CF, if your entry is chosen as the grand prize winner. In order to be eligible, your CF must comply with all rules.
End Date
August 1st!
Resources
I've put up some resources for you to use in this event! Feel free to use whatever you want, but this is just a little something to help you out. I've made some linearts you can use, if you're not really artistic-ly inclined, but using your own art is fine as well, and even better!
The files are mostly identical. PSD has layers and transparency, and MS Paint has had alterations so that it's easier to color in.
