What is a Makoatl?
A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the Greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.
Hey guys! I'm running this years Secret Santa!
How Does it Work?
After you've signed up wait until the 20th of November for me to close forms and send you who you got this year for your Secret Santa. You will have a month and 5 days to gather art for your person according to their wishlist. Secret Santa is secret, I dont recommend telling anyone who you got for your Giftee unless you are ordering art... Put simply: Be careful! I will assign Gifting to be the 24th of December to the 7th of January in case anyone is going off for vacation around there!
What is Required of me?
You must have at LEAST 3 pieces of custom art, I'd like AT LEAST one done by you, but not required!
What Else Can I do??
- Art
Headshots
Fullbodies
Sketches
Fully shaded pieces
Group Pieces
- Art may either be made by you, Commissioned by you by an artist
- Stories and poems (must fit the character's personalities)
NOTE: Only given Written works if your person has agreed to accept them in his/her wishlist.
When do I need to send my gifts?
You must send your gifts between December 24, 2015 and Jan 7th, 2016
What if I don't send my gifts?
You will be banned from any future Mako events. The staff and I have agreed that this is the fairest course of action.
What if I can't draw?
Order art instead, or write! Just make sure it fits the character.
How do I join?
Post the statement "Little Leo, I'm ready for Christmas!", followed by your username and your wishlist.
What do I put on my wishlist?
- Up to 5 character references (5 is the Maximum)
Mako Owners: Please include your Makos, at least one of them!
Non-Owners: We ask you to include one shark-dog if you have one. If not, than any characters will work.
- Brief personalities or links to character pages with information for these characters
- Additional info and/or thank you notes
What do I do when I have sent my gift?
Post "Little Leo, my sled is empty!" And you will be marked off
Once the event starts, you may no longer switch out character references under ANY circumstances.
