What is a Tolter Taming event, you ask? Well, it's simple. Bear Run has recently acquired some tolters that haven't been handled or ridden before. These guys need to be trained and taken to good homes, so we're trusting the members of the community to help us out!
You can adopt One of the event tolters, and tame it using a series of pre-chosen topics that you may do either writing or art for. You don't have to do solely one or the other for the entire event, you may choose to do writing for one topic, but art for the next, or decide you want to do only writing or art the entire time, its up to you.
There is no time limit on how long you have to complete each individual topic, but we do ask that you put effort into it and don't rush through everything. This is meant to be fun! Everyone will have until September 13th to finish completely and earn their halter charm to show they completed the event (and possibly other accessories or tack depending on how generous the artists are feeling~).

Here's how getting your tolter will work! We will have a few FCFS pre-mades that you may adopt if one catches your fancy, or we will have a short form that you may fill out in order to have an artist make an event tolter just for you. Keep in mind that these won't be customs, you'll just be allowed to pick a few things out to help us make you a horse you will love!

Time for the rules! I know no one really likes them much, but please read these carefully so that we can make sure things run smoothly:

Rules and Guidelines:
-Please be friendly and respectful, both to your peers and to the staff
-You may only adopt ONE event tolter
-you must complete at least some tasks by the end of the event to keep your tolter
-If you choose to fill out the form to have one made just for you, then please strike through it once an artist has claimed it.
-Try to avoid rushing through your entries
-Only natural coated tolters will be made for the event! We're going back to the good ol' basics for the event and no mutations such as chimerics, brindling, somatic, etc. will be included.
-You are encouraged to post or link to your finished entries here c: you're also welcome to compile them all into one post when you finish, since you'll need to have proof of doing all of them in order to earn your accessories.
-You may not order art or writing, it must be done by you
-please do not breed your event tolters until after the event
-Rules are subject to change and additions as needed

Here is where you can find the tasks you'll need to complete in order to tame your tolter!
You may complete each task with either art, writing, or a combination of the two. It's up to you!

♥ 3. -Introduction of the halter (here you can describe or draw what their halter will look like)
♥ 4. -Meeting a friend (can be another horse or other animal)
♥ 5. -Gaining your horse's trust
♥ 6. -First time with saddle (how they react to having the saddle put on for the first time)
♥ 7. -Ground work (work done without someone in the saddle)
♥ 8. -First ride
♥ 9. -Free spot (you may choose your own topic for this last one. It can be placed anywhere in the order above or it can be the last piece you do. up to you ^.^ )

Please remember to strike through your form once an artist has claimed it! (they will quote your message and say that they claim the horse to create it for you. Please keep an eye on the thread until yours is claimed! If it isn't claimed after a while then PM me)

-No, you will not be required to draw people. You may leave them out or even just do a basic outline of a person if you're no good with drawing them or dont want to draw them c:
