This thread will for now be used as a competition thread for the Sigbox Zoo adoptables. In particular, Guest Artist competitions will be held here every now and again, so if you're interested do check back often to see what's occurring!

Thread Rules

• All of CS's rules apply.
• No art theft - that includes tracing, recolouring and selling these adoptables. You may only colour the provided pixels when applying for an artist position when a competition is in place.
• If you take offsite then please leave the sigbox's link intact or post a link with it directing others to this centre.
• If you wish to make any changes to your entry for a competition then please edit it. Also, if entering in more than one competition please post both forms on the same post rather than double-post.
• Talk and treat others with respect in all related threads to this centre. Rudeness is not tolerated and will likely earn you a strike.
• This thread is to remain free of any conversations or spam. If you would like to discuss pets or simply talk about ideas, please head to either the fanclub or the main thread. Questions regarding the event may be posted here.
• If you have a question or a problem, please let me know. I'm always happy to try and help out =)

Guest Artist Competition

This competition is being held in order to find some Guest Artists for the adoptables 'Sigbox Zoo'. Guest Artists are not permanent, though they will be allowed to make up to two batches of pets over the course of two weeks, plus a custom should they so wish.
Whilst someone may be allowed to enter for multiple Guest Artist competitions, they may only ever create one custom in all.

After the first Guest Artist competition, a new competition will be held every 2 or 3 weeks (unless otherwise stated). A notice will be placed on the main thread when this competition is open again for entries.

Guest Artist competition - Round 2
Round 2 begins January 28th and will end February 5rd.

Guest Artist competition rules

• You may colour and enter up to five pixels. Of these, only one entry may have minor line edits.
• You may not keep any of your entries unless you are chosen as one of that month's winners, in which case that will count as your custom.
• Do not try to sell your adopt out your entries.
• Do not trace or try to re-create these lines. Use the ones provided as they are.
• Take your time when designing. If you're not happy with your designs then you're free to edit them.
• No spamming or double posting.
• Do not complain if you don't win.
• If you have already posted an entry, please edit that post if you would like to add to it even if it's for a new round. If it's been more than 5 pages since your original post then you may quote it.
• Got a question? Please PM me or post it in either the fanclub or main adoptables thread. Not here. I'll always do my best to help =)

Competition Information

• The provided pixels can be coloured on any programme and are MS Paint and Gimp-friendly.
• To save the image (for pc), simply right-click the image and select 'Save picture as'
• You do not need to make the backgrounds transparent for the pets. Posting them as they are is fine.
• The pixels MUST be uploaded using an image hosting site that will not change the original size of the image. Photobucket, for example. Then either copy and paste the IMG or create a link to the image(s).
• If you are selected as a winner at the end of this round then you will be PM'ed and information will be given.

Form

This form must be filled out once per person. You may decorate or pretty it up if you wish, however it will not affect your chances of winning. The more detail that is added, the better - I personally like to get to know my artists and other staff to help make communication easier between us =)

Mini-Mod Competition

This competition is being held in order to find a couple of Mini-Mods for the adoptables 'Sigbox Zoo'. The job of a Mini-Mod is simple - help keep an eye on the thread when I'm not around/unavailable and answer any questions posted, either by answering directly or by directing them to the correct information.

I am currently looking for 2, maybe 3 Mini-mods to join the staff team, though as the centre grows I may consider hiring a couple more. As an added perk, Mini-Mods will also receive 50% off all SBZ store items for as long as they are on the staff team =)

There is no exact end date for this particular competition - I'll be picking the finished forms of people who I think would most likely be a good choice, and once I feel we have an appropriate number of MMs, this competition will be closed.
Along with how the form is filled out, I will also be taking a number of other factors in when deciding on who to hire, such as activity within the community.

Rules of the Mini-Mods

• Be polite when answering questions. Try to be as helpful as you can.
• Do not feed false information - if you're not sure on an answer, direct the person asking the question to myself, or ask me personally through PM.
• Do not abuse your power - doing this will result in me stripping you of your duties as MM.
• If you are concerned that someone is consistently breaking the rules and feel as though they should be given a strike, please talk it over with me through PM only to discuss matters.

How active are you on CS?: I'm on every day, at least three or four hours, the rest depends on whether phones are allowed at my new school or not, at our old they weren't. But I try to think positive ^^

Would you consider yourself an active member of the SBZ community?: Well, seeing I stalk the whole threads constantly, I would guess yes. I would improve it more actively, though.

You see, I will actually go for becoming a mod here, I would just like to show off what I can do so maybe I can do some critters every now and then, but that's it ^^

My real name is Julia, I'm close to coming of age (won't define how close here, see CS rules) and live in Germany. My passions are horseback riding, drawing, writing and reading (both English and German), and taking photographs. I own 3 dogs (Benni, Flashi and Anton) and two cats (Lucifa and Pedro)! I also have a big brother, who constantly teased me until he went to live on his own. In general, I'm the prankster at school and home and am not afraid to state my opinion, even if sometimes people don't take it too well. I always try to be honest, fair and polite, though ^^

How long have you been on CS?: As already stated in my GA form, I've been on CS since Dec 2011 ^.^
How active are you on CS?: 3-4 hours a day, but with mod duties, often waaaay more longer
Have you adopted from SBZ before?: By now, yes, a Snowleopard and a Horse
Why do you want to become a SBZ Mini-Mod?: Well, I love these adopts, and I love working as a mod, showing and enforcing rules without violence/rudeness. So I thought I might combine both, to help you out and make everyone (including myself) happy )
Would you consider yourself an active member of the SBZ community?: Yes, I do think so, at least as active as most of the others, I'm still rather new to this adopts but that doesn't prevent me from being active here
Have you had any past experience as a mod for any other thread on CS? If so, can you provide links?: Oh, that's a good question.... More often than I can remember. Mostly, whenever you hire me for something, you also gain me as a mod, for free, haha, so that makes it impossible to count ^.^
But I think I was most active as a mod (just not hired as one, but an archivist and artist) at Perfect Adopts. The link to this can be found in my GA form ^^
My newest (and active) official mod position is the one at Keakotas (link in my signature, the "weird-looking horsehead" xD). There's not much to mod yet, though

Iam not sure how iam going to mange my own adopt with it coming up to be honest.

My number two entry, if i win i want this to be my custom. She wont be deleted if i lose, unless i change my mind. If i do win her name will be Tilly. I chose to base her off a ref to prove i can do that as well and the ref was of my old cat*avatar*.

Yes, I work in Bushbais(dead), SukiNaris, Winged Mini Kitties, Tibble Cats, Kirubairu and have my own art shop offsite.

Ever since I got off of COPPA I've been very active. I usually spend at least an hour a day on here.

Yes, I have my one rabbit (Eltad) that I adopted a few days ago, but I had been trying to get pets from here for a while.

Somewhat. I've entered for all of the raffles and made a few suggestions, but I would certainly be a lot more active if I was selected as a guest artist.

Yes. I owned my own adoption center Mini Fox-Cats, as well as working as an artist for Saphira344's Goat Dragons. Recently, I've also become an artist for Orb Cats (I'm sure you know what those are). It is also worthy of mentioning that Mini Fox-Cats was my first adoption center, and it didn't work perfectly because of that fact. However, I do think owning it has given me a lot of practice in running a center, as well as making art for one. I currently own, and make all the art for, The Bird Cage.

Not much, but I'd like to say that it would be an honor to work for SBZ and I love your work!
A lot of people often will ask what art program I use, so for your reference, I go between using FireAlpaca (A free, downloadable art tool that works great for pixel art) and Pixlr (A browser based art tool that has a lot of options but doesn't work great all the time).
Questions:
Are the animals *typically* naturally colored or can they be any color?
Should I win, would I be able to keep an entry as my custom if I wanted?

For my first entry, I have chosen to do two versions of a king snake, as I am not sure exactly what you are looking for. One is more flat colors, whereas the other version is more detailed with scales. Some people prefer more detail, while others prefer less detail in pixel art, so I figured I'd leave the choice up to you.

For my second entry, I've done a simple sand-toned rabbit.

My third entry is actually another sand-toned animal, the lioness!

The first and only unnaturally colored entry of mine is my fourth, a very blue wolf.

My last entry is a Palomino horse with braided hair.
