Suggestions

Here you can post suggestions regarding colors and breeds you'd like to see made at Redwood Valley Equestrian Centre. There's no limit on what you can suggest, so please suggest them all! <3

A couple clarifications about the types of horses for the poll:

Drafts include the Shire, Clydesdale, Belgian, Vladimir Heavy, Gypsy Vanner, etc.
Baroque breeds include the Lipizzan, Friesian, etc.
Light breeds include Thoroughbreds, Arabians, Morgans, etc. Basically anything that doesn't fit into the other categories and tends to have a lighter frame.
Warmbloods include the Dutch Warmblood, Hanoverian, Trakehner, Oldenburg, etc.
Stock horses include the Quarter Horse, the Paint Horse, the Appaloosa, etc. Basically your "western" non-gaited breeds.
Gaited breeds include the Tennessee Walker, the Standardbred, the Saddlebred, the Rocky Mountain Horse, the Missouri Fox Trotter, etc.
Ponies include Icelandic ponies, Welsh ponies, Shetland ponies, POAs, etc.
If any breeds appear not to fit under any of these categories, I highly recommend that you post them here so that I can be sure to start making a few c:

kind of interested in seeing a couple Pintos and Appaloosas.

    also marking. u w u

oh and, not really a suggestion but do you yourself think that you will make yourself a custom horse? because I think the owner of the adoptions could also take part and that it would be pretty interesting, y'know?

Ohh, goodness ^^' I've been thinking about that for a while now, but I'd hate to take a custom when they're only available as prizes for competitions for the rest of you all xD I'm so tempted because I want to take part in this but I don't want to ever be subconsciously putting less than my best into each adopt and I fear that I might try too hard with my own to make it perfect -- I don't know, maybe I'll adopt some after they've been up for a while and no one has adopted them ^^ Or I'll use a random coat/marking/gender/breed generator thing to come up with whatever horse I create for myself c: I'm seriously dying to take part in this, though!

I will absolutely be working on pintos and appaloosas soon ^^ Most of the recent ones were adopts I created a while ago and am just now releasing so that I can space them out, which is why I hadn't thrown any other markings in there, but I'll definitely be including those soon enough! Appaloosas with larger spots might take a while for me to add -- I'm still working on my technique for those and I don't want them to be mediocre when I put them up for adoption <3

ah, I see. however I would love to see you take part, so maybe you could randomize the traits you'd get for your horse, and of course randomize the stats as well, like you would a regular adopt? of course I'm just very much excited to see you take part in this, so yeah.

mm, are you a mouse, tablet or trackpad artist?

Absolutely, absolutely -- wouldn't think of doing it otherwise ^^

Usually I use my laptop's trackpad, but the Java on it isn't working anymore, so I've been using my computer's tablet and mouse most recently -- I don't have pen pressure or anything, though ^^'

I've already got a couple of splashes made, don't you worry c; Just waiting to release them once there are fewer adopts up so that I don't flood y'all ^^

Hmm, chimerics -- hadn't given much thought to those, but one super rare one might pop up eventually <3 As for heterochromia, certainly! Although there's only one eye shown on the adopts so I'd really only be able to say they were differently colored c:

Not sure if this is where I am to post this, so correct me if I'm wrong...

What about, instead of just breed/color assoiations, you open it up to discipline specific associations? Just an idea I had. Also, I'd like to see a buttermilk buckskin. Or maybe a perlino? As for breeds maybe some Akhal-Tekes, or Irish Draught?

herro der mes amis, i am believe. proud canadian, ottb loving, colt breaking, nfr dreaming. pictured on the left is my racetrack reject, landofmakebelieve, aka molly, moo, shmoo, whatever name comes to mind x] molly is a 10 year old canadian bred thoroughbred mare, and standing at about 16.2hh, we look a little wonky when we chase cans, but la dee da that's alright. molly and i tried several disciplines. i tried desperately to get her to catch on to dressage, but unfortunately, she still has the race bred mind and is all go. however, together we found a discipline which we could both enjoy; western gaming. this summer we started travelling to barrel races locally. our current record on a standard size pattern is 17.314 and we are improving with every run. and to all the low budget barrel racers out there such as myself, a word of advise; chin up darling. you may not have a million dollar mount under your butt, but you and your crossbred, rejected, hard headed, rescue baby can do it. you know why? cause those girls sitting in their custom circle y's, upon shiny, top of the line mounts are full of themselves. they think there's no way they can lose. they get cocky. stay humble, believe in yourself, in your horse, and most importantly ride your little heart out.

You, my friend, own a perlino c; I will certainly do my best to implement your suggestions! Personally I love akhal tekes so I'm glad I'm not alone in that.

I had thought about discipline-specific associations, but then I was thinking, "Well, then what would be the purpose of RVEC hosting shows?" Barn affiliations can kind of accomplish that too if they all just want to work on one discipline. RVEC shows are kind of intended to be like the discipline-specific association of the sim, but if you can come up with ways actual discipline-specific associations would be better, I'm open to and would love to hear them ^^

Aha, I know I have a perlino, I just love them so much c:

I see now why you don't have discipline specific associations. That does make sense. Alrighty. Well, I'm going to go stalk through all the RVEC horses for fun now. Ta ta
