Makoatl Secret Santa-Closed For New Forms

Alrighty Mako Fans,
It's the time of year for gift giving and seeing smiles fill the faces of our beloved community. However, the staff and I have decided to make it more fun by including others that have yet to join our group. I'm happy to announce the start of the first annual Makoatl Secret Santa.

This will be our first hosted Secret Santa, hosted by me and PenumbraWolfy, the Moderators of Makoatl Adopts.





So, how does this work?
After you've signed up, I will eventually close signups and contact PenumbraWolfy. The 2 of us will each take a list of members and you will receive a PM from one of us telling you who you are assigned to gift. You will have about a month to gather art for your person according to their wishlist. At the same time, someone else will secretly be gathering for you. Secret Santa is secret. Be careful who you tell your person to! You will send your gifts to your person during the assigned gifting period and post on this thread when you've done so, so that we can mark you off of the list. During the gifting period, you will also receive your wonderful PM full of gifts from your secret santa, who will reveal themselves to you!

What do I need to gift my person?
The minimum is 2 pieces of fully custom art. You are, however, encouraged to go above and beyond this limit~

What else can I gift my person?
- Art (Can included)

• Headshots
  
• Fullbodies
• Sketches
• Fully shaded pieces
• NOTE: Art may either be- a)Made by you OR b)Commissioned by you by an artist
- Stories and poems (must fit the character's personalities)

• NOTE: Only given Written works if your person has agreed to accept them in his/her wishlist.

When do I need to send my gifts?
You must send your gifts between December 24 and December 31, 2014.

What if I don't send my gifts?
You will be banned from any future Mako events. The staff and I have agreed that this is the fairest course of action.

What if I can't draw?
Order art instead, or write! Just make sure it fits the character.

How do I join?
Post the statement "Little Leo, I'm ready for Christmas!", followed by your username and your wishlist.

What do I put on my wishlist?
- Up to 5 character references (5 is the Maximum)

• Mako Owners: Please include your Makos, at least one of them!
• Non-Owners: We ask you to include one shark-dog if you have one. If not, than any characters will work.
- Brief personalities or links to character pages with information for these characters
- Additional info and/or thank you notes

Remember: Secret Santas like this would not be possible if it wasn't for amazing Santas~

What do I do when I have sent my gift?
Post "Little Leo, my sled is empty!" and I check you off my list.

Hey guys, I'm Luna-puppy, and I want to start off by saying thank you to, not only the Mako Staff for letting me help host this awesome event, but for everyone that chooses to Participate~ Without you guys, this Secret Santa wouldn't be as awesome as it's gonna be!

1. Vixen

Vixen is a very odd Mako, wandering from island to island, not having a permanent residence and preferring to be on the move. She has a love for nature, often seen bowing her head after a kill, sending the soul of the departed animal to the great wild above, and thanking the gods for providing her with the means of sustaining her life. She has a major temper, however, and refuses to be considered a female in any way, besides her feathers, which she only removes to swim in fear of ruining them.

2. Hakan

Hakan is the definition of pride, arrogance, and lust all thrown into one very cocky male. Born of royal blood, he knows he's one of the few "pure" Makoatls in the world at this day in age. Hakan is a princely air to everything he does, from his walk, to the way he polishes his precious stones, and even the way he scoffs 'lower beings'. This royal boy also carries the power over fire (flames colors seen on his reference) but he only uses it as protection or when he's feeling threatened in any way.

3. Jezabellia

Jez is a sweetheart, most of her days being spent with her amazing mate, Itzcóatl. Currently expecting her first litter, twins, she's a bit on the emotional side, and is spending alot of time reading romance novels. She's a potter at heart, having her own little studio where she spins and kilms (fire bakes) her own creations. Her tail is her tool of the trade, using it, she gives many of her pots unique textures and shapes that her paws would never be able to do. Her feathers are her pride and joy, at least until her babies are here.

4. Andie King

My peace-loving Pyromaniac, Andie is very loving and caring, being the oldest my makos, many find themselves coming to him for advice or help, and are often surprised by his wisdom on the everyday troubles of the world. His accessories are always on him, his lantern always smoking, and his incense on his tail burning gently. He carries a wise air about him, never looking down on anyone. He only wants to see everyone happy, even if it means his own happiness suffering in the end.

5. Keijo

Last, but not least, my little hoarder collector antique enthusiast. This male has an excess of items that I don't even understand, but attempt to mess with his treasures, and you'll lose a finger or two, maybe even a hand. He's got a multitude of bandannas and collars, but the ones seen on his reference are never removed, and he must be drawn with them. Keijo, however strange his obsessions are, is a very loving father to his two girls, Holly and Vixen. Holly is spoiled rotten by him, and any art of them together would be amazing~

Ello I am the one and only lunamoth19. I am a huge fan of makos and have only loved them more and more sense I got my first girl Thia. I currently own five makos though very likely there will be a sixth soon lol

My first ever mako she was designed by cerestes and based on the mandarin fish. She is a naturalist and a bit ditzy but a very caring Mako. She is head over heels for her wonderful mate Creme and her little son Callion. Thia is a firm believer in the whole fairy tail love concurs all and in science.

Eldhrimnir

My second mako and first after the new ownership Eldhri is a great pride for me. She is a hunter of the strange and unnatural, the mythical and spiritual. She believes in the spaces between reality but she is not a hippi. Eldhri is of celtic blood and very much acts like it. Her love of fire often has her donning her horns with candles. She is a rambunctious mate of Zane and a loving if not somewhat critical mother of Lana and Caridwen

Itzcóatl

My third mako, first boy, and gift from a wonderful friend Izzy is the Aztec mako. He has a love of nature and especially birds. He is a firm believer and living closer to the old ways of life, with less technology, and is a forger of ancient weapons. His hobby led him to his wonderful mate Jez and is readily expecting the birth of their twins.

Caridwen

The first child mako of mine Caridwen is the daughter of Eldhrimnir and Zane. She is currently the most in need of art sense she just grew up. A lovely daughter she has found her love in the stars and a certen fluffy scady cat protector named Keegan. Unlike her mother her extent of occult and mythological love only goes as far as the stars. Thanks to a mako named Zhi she is now terrified of ghosts

Amaris

Last but not least my newest baby Amaris. Incase you havnt noticed Amaris is based off the luna moth. She is still in the works but already sits right in my heart. She is warm and caring though she herself hates the cold. She adores her antenna and fluff and would die without her precious moth wing cloak. She is an accessoryist and is found doodling or planning new ideas for projects that may or may not ever be finished.
