Attack: Katara's nose wrinkled in anger as she roared at the horrible beast before her. She decided to run at the beasts legs this time, knocking it off its feet and falling face first into the dirt. She took this opportunity now to attack the back of it's head and neck, using her sharp teeth and claws. The more irate she got the more damage she dealt, and boy, did she get irate.

Cole rushed forward, dodging a root as it tried to coil around his foot, and threw himself at the creature's face, which it had briefly lowered to try and blast Kina with its green flames. A well-timed claw to the eye sent it reeling backwards, and Cole reveled in the small victory.

Cole panicked (in silence, because he was too awkward to actually disturb anyone in the middle of their fighting) as his tail was caught on fire, and he ran in circles, rolling on the ground to try and put the green flames out.

Upon arriving at the scene, Carus unsheates his gladius.
"Ready your spell, Mils," he says, "this is gonna be a hard one to beat!"
Preparing an attack, he rushes towards the creature, almost ready to sink his blade into the creature's body.

Scree would not call herself a coward. She has put all she has into being the leader her pride deserves. It’s not a courage that is flashy. It’s not something that always gets recognition. Good leaders are not only made in the rousing speeches and victories. Some leaders are made in the little things. Being there for loved ones, attention to detail, providing for others, helping them grow, stepping aside when it is time for others to lead. This is what makes Scree a leader.

So never did she think she would be so nervous in the face of this enemy. It sprouted from the ground in an explosion of soil and grass. Later she will learn it had tunneled underneath them to gain the element of surprise. But right now all she can think is that the very earth is her enemy. She has lead others in battle before. But never has she felt the stakes this high. Or so woefully unprepared. But the stakes are high. And there’s no time to think.

She looks to the warriors around her and roars. They will not be immobilized in fear. Other voices rise around her. And then they charge.

Scree pulls the knife from the holder on her leather guards. It’s shorter than some others carry. But she’s able to hold it and move without hindrance. It rises on its hind legs and extends its claws, the spike tipped tail lashes menacingly behind it. The creature gives a shrill cry as it flies at them. Scree ducks around the swipe of its long talons. With her shorter knife, she will have to get in close. She’ll need to keep her wits about her. She dives in when she gets close to its back legs. She only gets a small cut in before its tail takes a stab at her. She backs up but she’s not going to give in.

With an aggravated snarl she charges again. This time she aims for the tail. When it swings close to the ground she leaps. She grabs it and pins it beneath her paws like a bird snatched from the air. She stabs her knife into it and the creature screams. She uses the pained lash of its tail to propel her. While its reeling she goes for its leg. This time she drives her blade into its thick, wooden limb and digs in with her claws. She rakes them down, gouging the wood and sending splitters flying. She runs as it begins to turn, back to a safe distance to regroup. She pants heavily and stows her knife again.

Envy stopped Kina as she passed, having to yell to be heard over the roots bursting from the ground, the screams of pain, and the fire raging all about. "Its chest! I think theirs some openings there."

Kina nodded, panting, before rushing to Cole, helping to put out his tail before directing him to attack where Envy had told her. She may not know the golden she-cat, but her suggestion made sense. It was worth a shot.
