RVEC Suggestions Thread

I'm sorry -- I really just don't have any other items I can think to combine that would cover those disciplines ^^' That's really my only issue! And then there's the fact that we're already lacking entrants in some disciplines -- I don't want to stretch the competitions even thinner <3 They are good ideas, though!

What if we did showmanship or halter classes. Like confirmation. Or did we already discuss this option?

Conformation is a yes, actually ^^ Supposed to be a part of breed associations, technically x3

Oh that's right. I remember now. But I thought you were thinking on that if you wanted them part of the associations or as RVEC as a whole.

Yeah, I'm still trying to fit it all together c: I'd love for RVEC to host them too, but for now I'm going to leave them up to breed associations to keep a little bit more order ^^

So I had another good idea today;

I'm not saying this should happen now, because right now the Mustang Million is going on, but what if we did an entire rodeo event? It would be like the mustang million, where the horses don't need tack, but say each user could have a maximum of maybe three horses to enter into some rodeo events? I understand if this is unreasonable or unrealistic but just another one of my crazy thoughts ;u;

I saw you had already said that some disciplines were running thin, entry wise, but I still wanted to ask; is there a chance down the line somewhere to add in Endurance Trials? I love endurance, lol. If not, no worries! I just wanted to throw it out there, plus I've got ideas that could incorporated for required tack for like you have for other disciplines we have currently.

On another note, with competitions we currently do have, are there any ideas that may be floating for a large scale, all event type of competition? Believe mentioned a possible rodeo type deal, but perhaps something that incorporates the English half of riding may be feasible if that idea is?

Breeds I'd also like to see, when you've got the time to sit back and test things out;

I'd totally enjoy seeing a Curly added into our mix, but I also understand if that wouldn't be added due to the, well, curly coat that's often seen on the breed lol.

I'd love to add endurance if you've got the tack! What are your ideas? ^^

I'd love to do that if I can figure out a way to make it happen! Maybe a county fair sort of deal c: I just saw believe's post and I'm trying to come up with a way to make it happen, so we'll see ^^

I'll certainly do my best to add the others, but aww, I'd love to add a Curly Horse! I'll have to see what I can do to get that effect, but I'll definitely try!

Ponies.. All the ponies I love.... Lol.

Many Endurance Trials in the real world require certain types of tack, so I'm going off of those for the better part, but here's what I was thinking if it's possible.

+Hoof Boots (or other protective hoof equipment.)
+Protective Boots (As these are optional in true races, due to the potential irritability that can be caused to the horses legs, these don't have to be added in as tack if you'd prefer not to. c; Plus they're already up for purchase for any event anyway.)
+Hackamore (with or without a bit. Of course only if you have plans to implement bridles/hackamores in the future!)
+Wrapped Tail (this isn't a requirement for the races themselves, but I've seen a few people wrap their horses tail at either end to about halfway. I believe they did this to their horse if they didn't want to be pulling out any debris afterward if the horse had a thicker tail and they knew the designated trail was on the rougher scrub side.)

I was curious if there were plans for saddles in the future as well, but that was after I realized that thought about an Endurance requirement be the purchase of a Breast Collar and/or Crupper. I see now that I hadn't thought it totally through before posting above. I've been scatterbrained lately... Haha. (though if saddles were implemented, I could proffer multiple ideas and visualizations of the best Endruance choices lol. XD)

A county fair sounds lovely! I'm more than happy to help out however I can, if I'm able to and you need it. c:

This I my first written RPG type of deal, ever, so I'm still learning the ins and outs but it's so much simpler than I had always imagined! The excitement... It grows like a weed.

I like the hoof boots! We do have the setup for barrel racing already that includes bell boots and splint boots but I could probably fashion the bell boots into EasyBoots or something! I'd probably want to include things that are generally sport-wide versus a couple riders doing it out of consideration, but I can still look into the tail wraps! As for bridles and saddles, I'm probably not going to include them anytime soon because I'd have to add them myself and I'm a trackpad artist who's never been particularly skilled at all the intricacies of those accessories, but I can try my hand at some of that just for fun ^^ No promises though, I'm just now getting into drawing again hahaha. I wish we did have them, though!

I'd love the help! Just me me get an idea of what I want to do for it (unless you want to give me some suggestions c:)!
