Red and white Japanese fabric inspired stitched bell werm! I thought having furin (the wind chime!) as the bells would be really cute! And the traditional red-and-white string (kouhaku himo) represent joy and auspiciousness and are often used in festivals and joyous occasions The bow is a hair accessory that I think would look cute as the ribbon under the bells

the orchid mantis is an incredibly cool insect that can dynamically vary/modify its coloring based on conditions like humidity, light levels, and even the orchids that they are around. the amount of pink on an orchid mantis varies throughout their lifetime. a study on orchid mantises from xishuangbanna tropical botanical garden in 2023 suggests that color (and size) changes throughout different life stages to prime the orchid mantis for different types of predator-prey relations as they age!
