Here's a tale about a statue...Username + ID βColin | 820822
Entry:The ancient dragon sat atop a cliff, looking down at all the wermz that wandered the now-ruined cities and buildings. It couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle as it watched wermz bicker and play, not a care in the world despite the condition of their homes.
The dragon had a long body and many limbs, cracks covering it's old, rough body.
It flinched as it heard a twig snap behind it, blinking before turning it's head to look behind it, watching as a young werm approached.
"...How did you get here?"
It questioned the werm, tilting it's head as it slowly turned it's body to face them
'I got lost... Can you help me get home?'
The dragon paused, looking the little creature up and down before sighing, nodding slightly as it stood. It gently picked the werm up in it's jaw - Similar to how a mama cat would hold her kitten as it began walking, slow and steady while it's limbs cracked with every step.
It didn't answer any questions the werm asked, despite them persisting the entire trip. Once it arrived at the little one's home, it gently set them down before turning to leave.
'Wait-!'
The werm tried again.
'Can I at least know your name?'
The dragon sighed. It was old and tired, much too tired to play games or pay mind to a young werm that would be gone long before it ever would leave. It needed to not get attached.
"...Eris."
Nowadays, Eris was simply an old fairy tale, to assure little ones when they got lost that someone would help them home.
The werm that encountered Eris never saw it again, but they never forgot it's kindness, and ended up crafting a statue to remember it.
They hoped it really was still watching over the wermz from that cliff, even if they would never see it again.
