Hello everyone!
I want to extend a warm welcome to all our newbies, whether they've been claimed as of yet or are still waiting! We're going to get to you all, so I hope you're excited for your time to receive a helper! :D I know that we, as the staff, as well as the community are happy to have you all here with us and glad to see some new faces joining in.
Onto business, however;
There are a few things I am going to clear up now, whether everyone is following them or not.
Artists are not to be messaged about end dates, about customs, or about breedings after they have been sent in.
Period. At all. Guess what guys? This is in the rules, clearly and there is no way one can mistake it for something else. If this keeps happening, official warnings are going to be given from here on out. Look at what our artists are doing for all of us, they're spending their valuable time working with us when they have lives outside of CS of their own to take care of.
This is non-negotiable. The community needs to stop pestering the artists and show some restraint. Competitions will be judged as they are, breedings will be finished as they are, and any customs will be completed as they are. I am putting my foot down for the last time here guys, it's disrespectful and if that's how things are going to roll, you all know where the door is.
All breedings are rolled.
Come on guys, you know this. A breeding is not a custom so do not ask for a certain gender or certain genes. If you're unhappy with your foal, there are multiple things you can do; gift it to someone else who likes the foal, trade it to someone else fairly, give it away to someone who like it, or ask the artist to put it up for community adoption. If the userbase continues to beg or whine or tell the artists they want certain aspects on a breeding set in stone within their form the artists won't do them. Simple as that.
As my mother used to tell me; You get what you get, so you can take it or you can have nothing.
Streams
Sometimes our artists stream their work, and that is extremely kind of them!
This does not mean you are able to whine, to beg, to guilt or to otherwise harass the streaming artist if they are working on something for you; I don't care if it's a breeding, I don't care if it's a custom, and I don't care if it's a FCFS they are going to post and have let you know. Every stream I have been in as of late, someone has been whining about something, or guilt-tripping an artist because something wasn't made right in a breeding. The artists know what they're doing, that's why they're on the artist team. Be patient, be happy with your results, and keep the complaining to a minimum.
If they ask you a question pertaining to your custom, you have free reign of course, but the form you have sent is the form you will get. You cannot change it once you have sent it, unless you pull it completely and wait for another custom slot to be opened. Stop right there, I know what you're thinking; but this is my custom? Yes, it is your custom. Yes, once complete it counts toward your custom number for the month. But you sent it in knowing exactly what you were looking for when you filled out the form. If it has not been started and you are able to edit the message still, feel free to edit what you want before the artist has opened it!
We also need to work on staying on topic in the streams; we all do it, I do it myself and it's something I need to work on. WM streams are about Westrossa Mustangs, not about other adopts. Just like they don't like others advertised on their boards or streams, we don't need to be doing it within ours either.
Now, I don't know how the community just seemed to suddenly forget the rules as soon as our event started up, because that's the trend I've been noticing, but let's pull ourselves together guys! We're the people that the newbies are looking to for direction, we're the ones who are showing how amazing and fun we are at WM! Let's show them that we're a respectful, patient and warm community!
