entry: vegas tiredly walked into his apartment, making a quick glance at his decorations before dropping onto his soft, blanket-littered bed. his room was.. dark. dark purple, mostly, with fluorescent lights twirled around everything. there were a few neon signs, too, he had grabbed from old businesses who were shutting down. honestly, it looks like a city alleyway in there, which he loved the idea of.

then, there was his balcony. his favorite spot, by far. you can see all of the city from way up there, and the freeing feeling of being so high captivates vegas and allows him to think in silence.

silence. though he loved his apartment, it just felt.. silent sometimes. empty. lonely. that’s why he has his pc, though, and his desk. he’s set it out looking the balcony and his view - the weightless feeling of being in the clouds never escapes him. his setup is, as is the rest of his room, dark. purple and blue, with dazzling lights and leds that remind him of nights out in the city.

sometimes, he wishes he could change it. he wishes he would change it - sometimes, it keeps him feeling trapped; it makes his space feel so small, with the darkness creeping in and taking over every wall and unlit surface. but it felt so him. [222 words]

Vanir tilted his head at the question, thinking hard.
"Well... I suppose home is wherever the heart is... and my heart is wherever my friends and family are... But if you mean literally !"
He laughed softly to himself.
"Then my home is over the mountains and through the fields. In the densest parts of the forest there's a shiny new cabin, far far away from anyone else. I love being around people don't get me wrong... but the ability to be alone is more important to me, honestly. So yeah! I go to my little cabin in the woods and prance around in the nearby fields. I pick berries from the wild bushes and fruit from the trees that naturally encompass me. It's my own little slice of heaven, if i do say so myself."

Jason found himself humming in thought. "I lived on the seas for a long time, so I never really had a home. I was happy wanderin' an' just hopin' I'd live ta see the next day. But ya know these days... it's different somehow. I've made friends, and I have those I love. Selia and Sherry they... light up my life. Make it worth livin'.. so!" He gives a smile, as awkward as it looks.

"So wherevah they are? That's my home. I don't need a place or a buildin'.. All I need is them cheesy as that sounds."

"home? home to me is being out in the field tending to my berries" kiyomi ponders. out there they had no stresses, nothing could touch them. since their youth kiyomi found herself doing better alongside of the natural world instead of alongside fellow goos. home was not found in a place or a person (well now she believes differently for the latter); home was the outdoors. home was the sun shining down on their face and being able to share their harvests with loved ones.
"being alongside the earth makes me feel tethered. the world is so big yet here i am taking up my own special place in it." she explains with a final soft smile.

Home was confusing to describe. Should he technically consider where he grew up his home even if he can't remember it or his family? Should he consider Briar and the kids home because that's where he gets some glimpse of the past? What about the moments after he began to remember events regularly?

He never stayed in one place for very long, at least at first. Okomori dwelled in caves a lot, it just made sense he was tall, lanky, and dark so he could blend in better to avoid predators. He would only move doing the day, even if he preferred the cover of night. It wasn't until he met Sanso that he finally started to settle down.

Sanso was not his first friend since his wipe, but he was the first one to annoy him enough to stop his journey for a short while.

That was 2 years ago. Mori still pushes on about leaving and going beyond what is here for them, however he doesn't think he would ever actually uproot himself from Sanso. Not anymore.

Fidd: "My home is actually very similar to this island. I live near the sea as that is where I conduct my research. I have gone out to explore my area countless of times that I am already very familiar with the tides, waves, hazards, even rock and coral formation in the area. I have a simple house that is just a few minutes away from the beach. I live alone but always have spare rooms and supplies to welcome gusts! Being here is like being in a home away from home. It is very familiar to me yet also new which is exciting. I honestly can't wait to see what kind of creatures live around here and get to know the place a little better. Maybe I could discover something new that can be useful to my research in my home town?"

entry: rhea thought for a while. her home is in the forest, almost a swamp/wetlands area. its a small shack thats built inside a couple of close trees intertwining with a a small hole leading down where theres a cave like area with support structures. she has lots of papers scattered everywhere and there are recipes everywhere but she can find where everything is. need a recipe for mushroom soup? its on the third book up in the pile of paper and books. she thinks for a while. is it literally home or should i think of what i like best in this world? the more she thinks about it the more the place she lives is one of her most prized possessions.

"Here's where I wish I could say I grew up but am very thankful to be able to live now. I live there with my lovely girlfriends and daughter! My girlfriends are Koda and Keilani and our daughter is Psylla! We live on the closest northwest island of the Topia Islands! We have to travel to the mainland to do pretty much everything! People deliver our mail and groceries by boat!" Bayley says eagerly while showing Benji the photo of the place they are happy to call home.
